I got that kit a little bit ago from Newegg and I can tell you the charging cable is very long and well made. It's got a braided mesh around it so it's durable and not just some cheaply made cable. I think it's worth the extra $5 to get it and an HDMI cable.

It could have been a third party, been checking the control for a while and the lowest I've seen it is $34.99 off Amazon. Also checked camelcamelcamel:
