Splinter Cell Conviction Question

I just picked up Splinter Cell: Conviction. I have not played any of the other installments so I am wondering if the game does a recap to fill me in on the story so far, or do I have to go read a Wiki somewhere?

No real recap except from the game immediately before it. Though the plot of the first couple games doesn't really tie into it. Double Agent's plot does, so look at a wiki. Then go shoot some dudes in the face.
