SquareTrade is awesome.
I bought an iPod on eBay a few years ago, and after about 6 months, it crapped out on me. Luckily, I had bought a SquareTrade warranty just in case. A few weeks later, I got a check in the mail for what I paid for the iPod.

Definitely shouldn't be in video game deals... But Squaretrade definitely is legit. Pretty much all of the electronics that I have are either through them or my work (think biggest insurance company).

As for this being a deal... Not so much seeing as SquareTrade is right up there with Art Van Furniture Stores and all those Mattress Shops for having constant outstanding deals not worth missing out on that are a once in a lifetime opportunity and savings.

I've posted a squaretrade 40% off deal here in the past. Used it on my Xbox 360 S and Astro Headset system. Squaretrade is pretty good
