Ignoring the fact that KF had a somewhat fun objective mode (as will KF2), you're right that it's essentially horde gameplay. But if you're going to compare KF to L4D then you'd have to compare it to L4D's Survival mode, which KF (basically a retail mod) beats hands-down. KF2 puts it to shame.

I had a great time with L4D/2, but I play those games for entirely different reasons.

Ugh. Im doing a lot of traveling this summer and am debating getting a gaming laptop for the road.

A more frugal thing to do would just be to play the backlog of massive crpgs instead.

OMG @ 256GB for HDD.

I know it's that small b/c it's SSD and all - but I'd eat that space up for modern-gaming in no time. Ick.

 
I only have a 500 GB HD and I rarely fill up more than 60% of it or so.  But I tend not to have things installed that I'm not playing.  Lack of interesting gaming deals makes me sad...  sad enough to consider Origin bundle for $5... but HoTS skin... hmmm.

But you're paying for that touchscreen and unless that's something you really want or need I'd trade off a touchscreen for a bigger HD.

 
And I just realized Steam has been charging me WA state tax this entire time despite the fact I moved in November to GA.  And since I've been using Steam wallet this entire time there is no way to "update" your billing address on Steam without buying something.  So I went back and checked and Steam has charged me $13 worth of tax that entire time they shouldn't have. 

I sent support an email asking for them to update my address so they won't keep charging me tax and also for a refund of the tax they have charged me.

I don't expect them to fix either, but I can at least say I tried.  Expect an update from me in about a year when they respond.

What are you going to do when the sales tax you're charged for GA is higher than the state tax you paid in WA? They'll end up sending you a bill.

(according to Google Sales tax in GA ranges from 4-8% whereas WA is 6.5-9.5%)

Post something about it on reddit and hope Gaben takes mercy on you and fixes it. It's a slightly more efficient and likely to result in a resolution approach than contacting support.

 
I bought my first house today. Debating on what I should get to commemorate this occasion.

To get my budget under control (probably something I should have done before buying a house...)
