Somebody talk me out of blowing card money on these:

Wolf Pack - lowest recorded price (back to Jan 2013)

Doom Classic Pack - cheapest Steam price since July 2014, but has been frequently discounted on places like GMG

Heretic+Hexen Collection - lowest since July 2013

Doom 3 Pack - lowest recorded price (back to Jan 2013)

Quake Collection - lowest since July 2013

If this is a sacrifice trap for the long-anticipated, highly elusive Humble Bethesda Bundle, I'll curse the bundle gods to hell and back.
Man, I haven't played HeXen since I was a kid on the N64. I've been eyeing the Quake Collection as well. I'll buy it if you do. That way if we go down at least we go down together, just think of it as a suicide pact.

Shame the Quake Collection doesn't include Quake IV (all games were bundled for ~$10 on Bundle Stars about 1 year ago).

Reasons against this:

1. Most of these ain't even 75% off here.

2. You might already own some or all of this from retail already.

3. Unreal Deal Pack is 88% off, so all of this Classic Id stuff should also probably be that cheap.

Reasons for this:

1. The usual "I must put this all on Steam" rule.

2. "I need and/or want the Steam +1's" rule.

3. Even you said it yourself: that some of this is the cheapest this stuff's been in a while.

Pick your poison.

In the words of Motoki, "It's 66% off so it's close enough to 75%."

2. You might already own some or all of this from retail already.
I do...I've carried over the files from some of these games from PC to PC since the 90s. :)

y no wen $1.84 on Putingate?

I concur. Would be nice to just have everything in one place digitally.

2. "I need and/or want the Steam +1's" rule.
The +1 is a dangerous, thrilling, and rewarding game.

3. Even you said it yourself: that some of this is the cheapest this stuff's been in a while.
Yea, this seems like a good opportunity. Also, I made a mistake mentioning Humble Bethesda since id publishes the oldies, so unless it's a Zenimax bundle the classic Doom/Wolf/Heretic/Hexen/Quake games wouldn't show up.

Pick your poison.

DLC is still available on G2A and the classic edition is like 16.98 on Amazon and eBay as it looks like 2K released a boxed addition overseas with the classic DLC included. (Its the 1980s stuff but not the 90s stuff.)

The real question is do you want to spend allot of money on a game you had no desire to own till it was delisted?

it got delisted after a license transfer. and it's servers are probably dead anyways...
"Bleh" @ dead servers.

I actually liked QW: ET.

I guess, it's good thing I still have my retail-boxed disc copy then...

EDIT:

It was one big nasty key.
Still, good to know - but not as tempting.

Would've been better if there was a split TSW base-game key + each DLC had their own actual key.

I have been waiting F1 2013 to go on sale, it just hasn't been discounted in years (since F1 2014 was released).

I actually started playing it back when it had free weekend.

Also when base game is $2 it's hard to pay like $15 more for just DLC.

I still don't 100% understand license transfers

Zenimax owns ID and Wolfenstein/Doom/Quake as a whole, right? So they get everything ID made and owned, unless activision published it (like Wolfenstein 2009)?

Can't activision just sell those games too? What's the point of owning games you can't sell and never will?

Edit: That facebook post definitely makes it sound like id owns it now, but I don't see why they wouldn't put it back on steam

Well, that Yogscast fiasco is finally over.  Yeesh.

Final leftovers for Thread Regulars: the Blue Flamingo, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Overture.  Just post it here so people see if it was requested or not.

Not necessarily.

This all is what I'm guessing.

If Activision still actually holds distribution rights to distribute the game (which is probably the case) & Zenimax here owns Id + the Quake/Doom/Wolf IP's - then w/ different distribution owner rights + different IP owner rights here are going to cause this thing to be locked-up until Zenimax + Activision settle on some kind or deal. They are going to have to come w/ a deal of who can do what or wait until Activision's distribution license runs out (if there is an expiration date here).

There was a situation before in USA w/ Sacred 2: Fallen Angel + its expansions & re-release. Well, Sacred 2: Ice + Blood (expansion) and the later re-release Sacred 2: Gold Edition were all locked-up in USA for quite some time. Deep Silver had Europe distribution rights to anything + everything Sacred 2 over there, but CDV had USA distribution rights for anything and everything Sacred 2 related. Deep Silver eventually bought the IP out - but couldn't do anything w/ releasing Sacred 2: Ice and Blood content & then Sacred 2: Gold Edition here in the USA until they both hammered out some kind of agreement or the distribution license expired.

I could have sworn the GMG mystery bundles used to be a time limited deal (like once a month?). Anyway, you can buy the 1 game mystery bundle over and over again and during the sale get a mystery game free, so that works out to $0.25 per game turd, per checkout.

SUUUPER unrelated, but I have a lot of game codez will be getting rid of soon...

I actually still have the Unreal Anthology in a retail box - which contains Unreal 1 + Na Pali expansion; Unreal 2: Awakening; UT GOTY; and UT 2004.

Damn, I wish Unreal Deal Pack was $1.84 on Steam right now - or anywhere else selling Steam keys of the entire Unreal Pack, for that matter - I'd be so all over that.

Won't let me checkout via Paypal for small purchases :whistle2:x

Lets simulate driving a semi truck...the fuck. Whoever voted for that game needs to be smacked.
I take it you've never watched Fox get stuck in mud for 20 minutes while we all try to figure out how to tow him out and tip our own vehicles over in the process.

Great game 10/10

Euro Truck Sim 2 is awesome. It might be because all the other 'simulator' games are so bad, but ETS2 was so relaxing, plus if you listened to foreign radio stations in the game while you played, you learn things... Like in the UK, zits are known as 'spots'.

Yea this is one of the reasons it's MysterD's favorite game of all time. He listens to the Hungarian stations religiously in hopes of hearing his mom in one of their many escort ads that play during ad breaks.

I have zero hours played of ETS2, if anyone looks at my Steam profile + checks my game stats. They are public.

And my favorite game of all time is Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

I'd be so pissed if I had bought that Yogscast bundle.  The only thing in the entire bundle I would have wanted was the Blade & Soul stuff.

I still have the Blade & Soul stuff. I'll shoot you the key link when I'm back by my desktop.

That bundle was hot trash. Only redeeming features was that I picked my own charity that I'm cool giving thirty bucks to and I didn't own most of the games (not that I would have ever intentionally bought them) so I guess I got a lot of cards out of it. But the bundle itself was a sad joke and Yogscast should be ashamed to be linked to it.

Small Radios Big Televisions was a decent finisher. Unbundled. Not even on sale atm. Had kinda expected to see it in a monthly. There were like a half dozen games I would have wanted out of it. If the option to give 100% to the charity of my choice didn't exist on MOST Humble Bundles now I might have bought it and given $30 to doggies.

PRICE GLITCH ALERT

Trials Fusion - The Awesome MAX Edition 13,59€

http://store.steampowered.com/app/245490?snr=1_8_4__501

Trials of the Blood Dragon - 7,49€
http://store.steampowered.com/app/435480/?snr=1_7_15__13

If you add both to cart, Awesome Max will drop to 3,59€ or 11€ for total.

Edit: and if you own Trials of Blood Dragon, it's probably 3,59€ directly, and giftable maybe even.
If only that worked the other way around. I already own Trials Fusion Awesome Max.

Any reason to think one couldn't buy both and then refund Trials of the Blood Dragon in order to get Fusion at the discounted price?

Although if anyone already owns Blood Dragon and is offering to buy Fusion gifts, I'd gladly pay $5 for one.
