I want to refund Panda game but I haven't refunded anything in long enough that I do not have delayed card drops... decisions, decisions.

Also I looked at the Blizzard sale and good god do they have enough versions of Destiny/COD? I can't even figure out what package I would need to get the Destiny content I don't have.
For Destiny 2, I only have base-game.

So I would need:

  • Forsaken expansion
  • Expansion Pass 1 + 2 (this comes w/ Forsaken now)
  • and Annual Pass.

Yes, Rage is worth playing and the DLC (the Scorchers) also worthwhile.  However, Rage may not be reflective of Rage 2.  Be forewarned, the ending is abrupt and the story is meh.  Visuals and gameplay are good.  Both MysterD and Mooby also recommended Rage.

So, is RAGE worth playing? I'm pretty geeked about the new one but haven't played the original.
It was worth checking out when it came out. I'm not sure nowadays one way or the other.

And even if you don't finish it, it doesn't matter, because it's the same feeling when the credits roll.

RAGE is really good - even though it doesn't have an ending (meh!) and doesn't have a final boss. Gunplay and car combat is awesome. It feels like a whole chapter is missing here (the game abruptly ends); and the DLC has nothing to do w/ main story.

I recommend Scorchers DLC b/c you need it to go back to earlier missions again (after about the 1/2 way point); b/c you an keep going in the game-world and do any side-missions you missed; and b/c the 3-6 hour DLC campaign's good...and actually has a final boss and ending to its story.

I'll chime in and say that I love RAGE, the gunplay and world aesthetic specifically, less so the car combat and the end missions. Really looking forward to RAGE 2 but also kind of worried that it'll get Beth'ed up somehow, even though they're only publishing, as they do own/control id soft. Absolutely no interest in their launcher and even considering peasant-fakying day 1, so I could trade it if they shit the bed and/or keep an eye on how the PC version ends up.

rage is a nice game, the gunplay is really fun but the game is lacking in most areas outside of that. nothing mindblowing but a fun enough way to blow through 15 hours or so. dlc is good too.

I liked the gunplay of RAGE but the cars and the open world murdered me.
One thing I liked about RAGE was that the "open world" section was more of a Hyrule Field style hub area than the time-wasting travel that turned me off truer open world games. Never more than a minute and a gunfight from where you need to be, that's how I like it.

One line in the DLC had a character laugh at the idea that it was an open world at all.

RAGE is underrated. I got it PS3 on a B1G1 free sale at a local pawn shop, but am now replaying it on Steam. I wonder why Steam doesn't do 1 x 1 sales, it would be good for older games like this and they could pack it with another underrated game for a lower price. And yes, 1 x 1 is, in fact, 2. Research the Mandela Effect and shifting timelines and you will understand why some people remember this fact while most don't.
Happy New Year, richgamer. See you in another 6 months when you register another account to preach from the same script.

IATCG is the most pitiful person on the planet. Who else but a sad waste of space would keep coming back to the same forum over 4 years after their first ban to spew the same brain-dead nonsense using the same handle?

So let's cut him some slack with the hypocritical trash he posts.

I just saw on another site if you boot up RS Siege before Jan 1st, meaning less than 24 hours left, that Ubisoft is giving away a free Holiday Pack that contains a random DLC operator that you haven't already unlocked or, if you have all the operators, 25,000 Renown.

He's not the same guy...he's from an alternate timeline, dumbass!! Just like my alternate timeline doppelganger would tell poop and your mom jokes... but he wouldn't have the dashing good looks I possess.

He would also know that 1x1=2...everyone who isn't a lizard-person, round-earther knows that truth...

imagine thinking that society is completely wrong about fundamental math and deciding the best way to preach and correct the issue is to make burner accounts on cheapassgamer

Bethesda sale on Gamersgate.

If anyone needs RAGE: Scorchers DLC [Steam key], it's $3 on Gamersgate.

Same price also on Steam.

No, not the cheapest deal on that DLC (it's been $1.24 before at its lowest), but you really should equip Scorchers w/ RAGE b/c it keeps the game as open as possible, even once you finish the game's main quest.

Since Scorchers is that important (just like how Broken Steel DLC is important to Fallout 3 so you can explore the game after you finish the main story), they really should sell the RAGE base & Scorchers DLC both together in one pack these days, TBH...

I really dont think the game is that bad, also, I saw you guys buying crappier games ;)
It's not a good Mass Effect game by any means - i.e. ME Trilogy is amazing, MEA is not.

MEA is a decent open-world UbiSoft-style third-person shooter/action game, though.

We have a new hipster, craft beer, chef's specialty personal pizza restaurant here in Robbinsdale that opened recently.  They have different recipes like the El Cubano or the Yellow Curry Thai Pizza.  My personal favorite is the Piggy Pie (which is the meat lover's pizza).  It's a personal size and it comes out to about $18 for a 10" pizza.  Drinks and craft brews are about $8-11 apiece which are downtown prices so I learned my lesson after doing that once.  The weird thing is the communal dining aspect, where they sit you at giant tables that sit 6-10 people with other strangers. Needless to say I've only been to "Pig Ate My Pizza" a couple of times since they opened five years ago.

It really is excellent though.   Their pies are all individually hand made with about a dozen fresh ingredients and spices that make them taste unlike anything you've eaten before.  I can honestly say that the Piggy Pie is the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten in my lifetime.

PAMP.jpg

That's a 3 cheese pizza on the left and the Piggy Pie on the right.  It's all about the freshness of the cheese and getting the oven burn just right.

I had a pizza at some overpriced Italian joint the other week with (looking up menu): Farmer George duck egg, crispy pork belly, fig jam, fior di latte mozzarella, Parmigiano Reggiano & balsamela.

It was good enough as food but not really "pizza".  More like "here's things we put on some artisan flat bread"

On the plus side, it was only $16 and was enough to feed me and my wife whereas a plate of pasta was friggin' $30.

Would love to see the Lego Harry Potter games as Humble freebies, if they're also on the verge of being removed.
correct me if im wrong, but WB owns Harry Potter, but only owns Distribution rights of LOTR/Hobbit, MGM owns them.

Edit: Wait nevermind, WB constantly makes Middle-Earth games. Why were Lego LOTR Hobbit removed?

Is the Lego license itself the issue?

I like my random discovery queues. At first it's like oh here is AAA games you may have forgotten, than some random early access poop, and then the rest is hentai puzzles, random VNs, Hentai RPGs and other sexy games. Is this really what you think of me Steam?

No, like 100 new games get added to steam every day and I'd say the majority are either early access games, visual novels, or hentai/nudie games. Just what steam is now.

I am in the market for a new desktop. I’ve never had a gaming PC before but am thinking seriously about getting one. Don’t really want to spend more than $1,500, though, and I know they can get pricey. Thinking about an Alienware Aurora but am open to any brand. Any thoughts? Thanks I’m advance for any advice.

Don't buy prebuilt systems. Also, unless you're in a hurry, wait a month and see what AMD unveils in their new line of processors and graphics cards.

Also, if you only plan on playing console games on your PC then save yourself $1,000+

Genuine Inquiry, what is/are the PC exclusive game(s) that warrant $1000? I thought the purpose of having the latest greatest PC hardware was just to have the best versions of the games possible. Until Cyberpunk comes out in 2077 (j/k) I'm not sure there really is that experience on the PC that's worth the premium over consoles, unless, as I said you just want the best (graphical, most moddable, etc.) version of the game, which of course, has value.

Gotta have something to play the Star Citizen alpha on until it comes out of early access in ten years.

God that game is beautiful.

This discovery queue reminds me of a time in yonder years.  Maybe someone remembers.

Back in the old'en days everybody and their brother was putting out a bunch of nonsense gaming crap.  The crap continued to pile-up so much so that in the early 80's there was a crap implosion.  A LOT of companies (some with valid ideas) collapsed.  The entire thing was a shit show.

Because of this implosion, Nintendo implemented their seal of quality.  This seal was basically Nintendo saying they sifted through all the crap to find something they were willing to stamp their name onto.  And for the first couple of years, we honestly had some of the best games come out as a result.

We need a Steam seal of not-crap.  Thanks to you people I think the only adult game in my steam library is Hunie Pop but I swear the discovery queue thinks I'm a porn magnate because every other game is some nudie hentai girls with tails game.

Frankly, it makes the queue even more worthless as I just click through without looking.

GitHub is down right now, but you can find xmonkey scripts that auto advance through your discovery queue for the 3 daily card drops during events. There's also one that completes it non-GUI so you don't have to see anime tids, which you can also find through google.

(xmonkey means grease or tamper depending on your browser, it's not related to xhamster you depraved porn magnate you)

Divinity 2 came out in Sept. 2017 and its only 35% off ($29.24) during the sale.

Monster Hunter World is a laughable $39.59.  I put around 200 hours into that game in Feb '18 on PS4.

It still costs $20.40 today during the winter sale to get the Civ VI dlc packs even when you've already owned the main game for years.

Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire is on sale for $32.99 and I bought a retail box copy of that game a couple months ago at Walmart for $19.99.

I don't need to discover new games on Steam, I just want better digital sales on the stuff that I want to buy.

I basically built the new gaming rig so that I could be Cyberpunk ready. I also wanted to play Battlefield and Overwatch at full speed and have much speedier loading times in games like Civ 6. For me it was always about having the ability to play the best new MMOs but there haven't been any great ones in quite awhile so my rig maintenance languished for some time. I'm scared that major AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077 are going to continue to have delayed PC launches by several months, and then come out at full price.

Yeah pretty much this.

Just when I thought I knew you though, Mooby.
