This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Fred, you're just the guy we need right now. Our colleague Wa1terSobchak (alias rcsample) was recently arrested and charged with public defecation. Bail is set at $69,000. Can you help?

A licensed bail agent since 1970, after four years of law enforcement experience. You would have to look long and hard for a courthouse or jail in Southern California that Fred hasn’t done business in. Plus, in his many years of experience, Fred has handled almost every situation possible involving bail, therefore making a call to him a wise one.
 
Since I finally installed the graphics card I bought literally months ago I decided I might as well do a Christmas haul post a few weeks late because why not.

It just makes it into a proper remaster, not like a huge game change or anything it just looks good.  You either have to donate a couple of bucks or wait on full release for now, but you can find it here.   Video of some guy showing bits of it off.  I only played the game one time and wanted to revisit it but the remaster was a mess and I skipped it until I ran across this mod.

Will be interesting to see how this impacts Blizzcon and WoW … wonder if we’ll finally see a console port.

Most times I'm happy with one-and-done and don't need a bunch of digital detritus in my library after the fact to feel like I "own" something I'll never touch again. I've definitely come out ahead on my subscription, albeit that's a "Convert this and buy those shady codes" subscription that came out to a couple bucks a month for the next couple of years.

Maybe that's why you have my confused. Another older user might have that handle... on another timeline. Alternative timelines do exist. I keep reading one post after another from Fox about how awful it is here, and how the original timeline was so much better. Whether you agree with that or not, I think everyone here has been given a gift that the vast majority of people don't have - you know it's possible to switch timelines because you've already done it. Doesn't that give anybody hope? What makes you think you can't change timelines again? On my old timeline PC Gamer went out of business years ago because no one has read gaming magazines for over a decade, but in the timeline Fox introduced to us they somehow still have an active forum!

Did you know that you can even hear other dimensions?

I'm not crazy, I promise.

It's usually when I'm quiet, almost asleep, or just tuning things out. Not Dissociated, mind you, just not entirely present. It's like a radio someone left on in another room- I can hear conversation, music, laughter, people singing, sometimes arguments or things being moved...and if I try to focus on it it stops!

It's XSEED and has all of the DLC which is really unexpected. Historical low for base game is $30. Probably the best freebie they've had valuewise

EDIT: Is the freebie for sure the deluxe edition? Either way it's nice, none of the DLC is essential

Depends on if Sony decides to keep making Playstation consoles or not.

That could go either way, if they keep doing Playstation consoles.

If they decide to stop console-making, I could see them pulling a SEGA and just only become a 3rd party game publisher.

 
I can't see them quitting consoles within the next decade. But I could easily see them asking themselves "Why are we putting our exclusives on PC when we need every reason possible for people to buy our consoles, especially now?"

Sony is traditionally a hardware company first when it came to home entertainment products. It's why Nintendo worked with them for disc drive based systems.

Given their investments in things like a bleeding edge VR headset, unique controllers, and associated doodads, I would think they might lead to a pullback (or partnership... Sony buys Epic?) versus pulling a Sega. They are still the hardware sales leader, right?

Yep, PS4 and PS5 sales are beating-out XBox 1 and XSS/XSX. I would be curious though how many are on GamePass on Consoles/PC/Ultimate.

Let's think even worse than Sony buying Epic. Could Epic buy Sony? [shrug]
