1) Cube & Star: An Arbitrary Love

2) Dream

3) Drunken Robot Pornography

4) Delver

5) Savant - Ascent

DRP.

Played a lot of it, it's honestly a really fun, wild game. Not time consuming either, nice to jump into when you're in the mood, then jump right back out.

considering I totally forgot to buy humble bundle 11, due to work/Skyrim syndrome and still need to play this game as long as it discounts I'm happy.
You should know better than to let game playing get in the way of game buying.

You guys got me curious so I tried Deathrap Dungeon. My reaction?

Well, it's not the worst game in the world, but I kept wondering why I'm not just playing a classic Zelda game or even Ittle Dew instead.

It's basically the annoying grindy chop your way through a bunch of rooms part from Zelda and nothing else but randomly generated and in big pixels.

Problem is it's billed as a roguelike but there's basically no roguelike elements.  I guess there's some randomization but there's no character progression that I can see or itemization... other than those two card/perk slots.

You're not limited to two perks... you can have as many as you can find. And after beating it once you can choose to help or fuck over other players in Champion mode. It's not that much really, just the occasional heart, gem or perk... or flaming bomb.

One Finger Death Punch is far more entertaining than I had anticipated.  Makes me wonder what other bundle remnants i'm neglecting simply because they haven't kicked me in the Steam library.

Major Mayhem.

(Goddamn is that game addicting.)

One Finger Death Punch is brilliant. Love that game.

Note to anyone trying out Diehard Dungeon ... make sure you try the Mayhem mode on it. It's a pretty enjoyable two-stick shooter mode, fun for a quick blast. I like it better than the normal dungeony game.

Edit: anyone having any trouble selling cards right now? I've had a few listed for hours and they're not showing as listed when you click on the card's name.

While on the subject of cards, I have yet to get a booster pack for any game ever. You kids with your high Steam levels, are you buying the cards that you need to complete your sets? Or trading cards for shitty games you don't care about to get cards for games you DO care about? I have yet to get any game badges, I can't bring myself to pay real money for my Steam rank when it means nothing.

Everyone who crafts badges has to either buy them or trade them. I've had a ton of booster packs, but never more than one per game and never enough to craft a badge. You either pick and choose which games you want to craft and then sell or trade your other cards away to complete those badges.

Also, remember that your rank affects the booster pack drop rate. Level 10 gets a 20% greater chance of receiving a pack, Level 20 gets a 40% boost, and so on.

When I have a pile of cards in my inventory, I go through the Market and price them all. By looking at the prices I'm likely to get, and the cost of buying cards to complete a badge, I can decide what I want to do with that game's group of cards. I usually end up selling the most expensive 75% of cards in my inventory, then buying extras to complete badges with the cheapest 25%. (Although now that I've hit Level 20, I may just dump everything.)

The best time to ever craft a badge is just before the Steam Summer or Winter themed sales. Where in return you'd get one Steam sale themed trading card per badge crafted. At least those themed cards can be sold at a nice price on the market while people continue to speculate on what crafting a Summer or Winter badge will generate in return. During the rest of the year we all know those awful Steam coupon rewards are worth [customspoiler="jack squat."]

Keep making badges year round outside of the Summer and Winter sales and before you'll know it you'll be so broke you'll be living in a van down by the river.

:whee: I've just had a few hours of fun with Super Toy Cars.  It's a great little toy-car cart racer.  Apart from the obvious nod to reVolt, the AI kind of reminds me of reVolt -- it feels very alive.  The tracks are good (and there's a track editor and Workshop-tracks), the different cars I've driven all handle differently.  The default AI difficulty is good... beatable, sometime challenging.  The game seems structured such that you shouldn't hit a progress-wall. I'm really enjoying it. (Stayed up way too late )

I have just played the first hour of the most-bundled-goty, Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller. It is a very high production valued adventure game. The voice actors so far did a fine job. The puzzles are logical. And the "flash back" mechanics was worked quite well into the puzzles.

So, it seems March would be "Murder for March" backlog clearance for me :)

To be completed:

Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller

Assassin's Creed

Mark of the Ninja

Most of my reviews are 'serious.' But since Steam reviews are irrelevant maybe I'll angle for the lulz.
Didn't you recommend Go Home Dinosaurs? I'm trying to recall why I haven't purged all existence of you by now. Oh right, it's the joy in reading an upcoming game description that mentions "pixel art" or rogue-like and KNOWING for 100% fact you've already added it to your wishlist.

EDIT: A sampling of your amazing reviews (yes, it's me that's always down voting your reviews)

This reminds me of something I meant to mention... Loadout, f2p game, gave me the exact 5 cards I needed to craft its badge. No repeats, doubles, etc. Cannot imagine the odds.

Also, not sure why but it dropped me two cards yesterday... And I haven't spent anymore money On it in awhile.

re: Crafting badges.

A good resource for that is http://ehsankia.com/steam/cards/ . If you sort by "Set Price" it will tell you how much it costs approximately to complete each set currently. Counter Strike is usually a good one because it only has 5 cards and they go for really cheap. You can usually craft it for 45 cents or so and you can get that from just selling one or two other cards sometimes. You can only craft a badge for the same game 5 times though so there's that.

The prices do fluctuate a lot. If you happen to have a game that has cards and is not in a bundle and you think may be in a bundle at some point then get rid of those cards because the prices plummet when a game gets in a bundle.

The big sales also do crazy things to card prices. They tend to go up early on and then go way down low after. In the past sale the snow globe cards were also selling for crazy prices before and in the very early days of the sale while they went for next to nothing at the end.

Oh good. I'm glad to get the expert opinion on it. It seems like a fun game and the developers seem decent, devoted to it and open to feedback. It also seems fairly polished for Early Access, especially when compared to some other EA offerings.

The devs are doing some 'Play with the developer' sessions but they are on that Green Witch time at times during the week when most of us 'Muricans have to work. They did say they might do some on weekends though.

*Edited to add: I like that it let's you change from a traditional 3rd person behind the car view to a top down Little Racers Street / Mini Motor Racing Evo sort of view. I hadn't notice any other game being able to switch between radically different views like that, but maybe I just didn't fiddle with the controls enough?

Enhanced Steam also gives this information on your profile.

You might be thinking the puzzles make sense now, but wait until you have to drive around town looking for donuts so you can feed a homeless man before you interrogate him :wall:

You can switch between isometric and behind-the-car cams in Little Street Racers.

and this time we won't FU it up!
Well that certainly inspires me with confidence. That and they resorted to Indiegogo the low rent version of Kickstarter that no one pays attention to because they take your money whether the project gets funded or not.
