Am I completely missing something or what? I mean, aside from the obvious idiocy at hand, 150 * 10 = 1500. Hardly a significant amount to jet fucking boost a team to victory. If he had a bunch of other buddies/accounts to do the same thing, sure that adds up quickly, but just that one I don't feel is the proper explanation for purple winning. Reasoning behind that to me is unknown. Can someone fill me in?

Since he crafted so many adventurer badges, it's likely that he also got some point boost & point stealing tokens too. Still doesn't really add up to the hundreds of thousands of points, but maybe there's more people like that on the purple team.

I wonder if we keep the same teams for the whole sale or if it switches daily.

That Agarest game looks kinda interesting.  The 45 meta score makes me a bit wary of it though.

I love how the first review on it says "not recommended" but they have 72.8 hours put into it.

Agarest is a wonderful, deep game that is plagued by extremely repetitive combat and ridiculously monotonous travel (which is all repetitive combat).

You get lots of waifus though so buy it.

You really have to be into strategy RPGs to like it at all. It's one of those specific genres where if you're not into it, the game will play and look like garbage.

 
Thanks for the info on that Agarest game.  I think I'm going to go for it.   I used to love games like Shining Force 1 and 2, Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy Tactics, Vandal Hearts 1 and 2, etc.    I think I'll steer clear of the DLC though.  From first glance it looks like pay to win kinda stuff.

Random question: Is there a place where I can see if i've contributed any points for the day? I went a little nuts and started crafting a bunch of badges, but realized I'll miss out on the bonus card for daily points contribution.

Underneath the "Daily Scoreboard" with the team points there will be an area which tells you how many points you've contributed and what teams your friends are on.

I got team purple. Go us. I put my one point in. lol. my idling account got green though, dirty green.

The funny thing is, some pirated versions are better than the versions GOG sell.. like Rayman Optimum (Rayman Forever with lots of fixes + additional levels).

I wonder if the Level 8 requirement only applies to accounts that are less than a year old.

 
As kind of a parallel question in regards to the whole level 5 or level 8 thing, does anyone know how the 15 day Steam Guard thing works? Depending on how you look at it, I was either lucky enough or unlucky enough to install the Steam Client on the 5th.

It's still giving me that message indicating I can't do trades due to not having it installed for 15 days. Do they go by hours? I'm two games away from the next badge, and I have the cards "bought" on Tremor Games and waiting to trade to get to level 5. Then again, I'm not even sure if that means anything, or if I'd have to be at level 8...

I do however, get the same message that I'll be eligible for a card at level 5.

They just forgot to update it. My 7 year old account didn't get card until I leveled it to 8.

There's a good chance they might get either a daily slot (that's the 48 hour discount you've seen) or a flash sale (where it's cheap for 8 hours).

I'm waiting on Age of Wonders III. If it doesn't get a better discount, I'll buy it on the last day of the sale when the last set of flash deals have been revealed. But only then, not before.
 
Euro Truck Simulator..... I've passed this up a few times, but it's been gnawing at me.  Any thoughts?  I haven't played a large number of sims, but for the price, may take a bite.  

Also, does the Going East expansion add a lot, or is there a lot to do with the base game?

There's a good chance they might get either a daily slot (that's the 48 hour discount you've seen) or a flash sale (where it's cheap for 8 hours).

I'm waiting on Age of Wonders III. If it doesn't get a better discount, I'll buy it on the last day of the sale when the last set of flash deals have been revealed. But only then, not before.

I kind of assumed he is saying 'Do I want these 3 games to be my picks in case I win one of the daily giveaways or will they go cheaper and hence I should probably pick something more expensive?' in which case yes they will most likely be flash deals so put Watch Dogs or pre-orders like Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (Activision so it will be a LONG time before a good sale) GTA:V, etc on there.

They haven't said if you can get pre-orders as your 3 if you win but I don't see why not.

Watchdogs might go on a War Z style fake sale one day, but definitely don't expect much off.
