It's definitely a sick price, but I don't do co-op. I play MMO's as if they were single player. Hell, I play LoL as a single player game.

I live in Germany and never have had an issues paying with a credit card on Steam. I always change my currency to US by typing the following into my web browser: store.steampowered.com/?cc=US. Have you also contacted your financial institution to make sure they aren't the one blocking the transaction? Just because it works at Store A, doesn't mean that some banks don't decline transactions from Store B because the purchase may seem fraudulent. As far as PayPal is concerned, I know it always gives me issues if I am logging in from a server outside my country.

See if you have any luck by changing your Steam to the US steam server.

THIS IS ODD!!: I was looking at the community vote options & clicked on a game I didn't recognize. I was then redirected to free.origin/com. I hit back on it and tried again, same thing. Now that game is replaced by risen2. WTF Steam!?

I'd suggest picking whichever franchise you like best, as they all play more or less the same. If you're indifferent to all of them somehow, Marvel is the best I've played so far.

Castle Crashers, does that have online coop? Haven't played it but have always wanted to, and playing it with friends or fellow CAGs might be fun and worth the buy.

AFAIK, Magic 2K14 you can build Sealed Decks but as I recall they locked the slots so you only got a handful without paying for more.  I haven't upgraded in a while though....

I wouldn't recommend it for SP, no. A lot of CAGs setup times to play MP stuff together though, so you could probably find someone to group with if you wanted.

Question:

I already own Castle Crashers. If I buy the pack that has it, will I get an extra copy? I know some indie games do give you extras, but I'm not sure if this one does since it's not from a big company.

I know it's already been answered, but Lego Marvel is hands down the best one, and I've played all of them except Lego Movie.

A distant second would probably be LotR and Batman 2. The Hobbit is extremely boring. If you do co-op, ignore the older titles that didn't have split screen.

What's even more weird is EA closed it down last year, so the game doesn't even exist anymore. I've not the slightest idea why it was up for a community vote.

Also kinda annoyed that the CC + Battleblock pack is even cheaper than Battleblock's 2-pack price. Sometimes it seems like no matter how much of a hardline cheapass I try to be, they always manage to slip a few past me.

 
Not that anyone cares, but thanks to my recently acquired ability to trade (I'm not even able to use the market yet) and a lot of help from people in this thread (information, giveaways, trades), I was finally able to reach level 8 and craft a summer badge. I guess I'm on my way to hoarding things that live in the internet.

This is my suspicion too.

Also, Steam logic is almost as bad as galalogic. Put Nether for flash vote so that if it wins it is on sale 8 hours before it is then planned as a daily for 48 hours. Makes perfect sense.

Season Pass is really it. Unless there is a particular skin or weapon that really tickles your fancy, the season pass is the only actual content DLC

I wonder if Valve ever had any intention of letting teams really compete.  Did they intend from the beginning to hand out wins evenly or did they just start doing it after so many people conspired to move to certain teams?

I'd go with the latter.  The first couple of days looked normal and then suddenly the winning teams start running off and leaving everybody while the rest stay jumbled together with the same points.

 
Regarding LEGO games:

I agree with the NinjaSquirrel that you should probably go with your favorite franchise. I've played most of them and Marvel is one of my favorites because of the cool factor, but I just finished LEGO Lord of the Rings and, thanks to the good story by Tolkien, it just edges out Marvel.  

That Saint's Row IV GOTY cannot get here fast enough.

I agree that LOTR is a bit better, it's shorter but more focused. The contrast between the movie dialogue and Lego slapstick works pretty well. And I liked travelling around on horses more than the weird flying controls as Iron Man or whoever.

Its not really an anti-social thing... Its more of a "I got better shit to do than watch a trade error out for the 100th time because steam's servers suck."

Still not sure why they wouldn't turn on/run a few extra servers during these big sales... Hell, I tried to exchange summer trading cards with a fellow CAG and the trade request wouldn't go through. Its fucking ridiculous.

Anyhow, if no one has a horse in the race for the next community pick I would really like to get Double Dragon Neon so please vote for that if your just casting votes to keep the cards coming.

 
Looking to eventually play Borderlands 1 + 2. I can get the Steam GOTY versions of both for ~$20!!! But I have both of the regular games free from PS Plus. Is the extra DLC worth it?

Also was looking forward to being able to play BL2 with cross save features on the PS Vita. But I have an Nvidia Shield. Not sure what to do...

The DLC is worth it. For BL1, Knoxx was much better than the normal campaign. For BL2, the expansions were ok, but Gaige is pretty sweet.
