I'm pretty sure you can just make a bnet account and you can play the "demo" (same thing the pass gives). The pass was just for the first month before it was available to everyone

For some reason they still haven't made the "starter edition" available to everyone yet. You still need to know someone with a key in order to download it.

I only played that game for 30 mins, single player only, but so far the first impression is pretty bad. I'm gonna give it another try, but it seems the game isn't all that good. It's hard to tell what's going on with your character cause the attack signs (such as Bam! Whack!) covers the character. Also, the game mechanics such as controls, menu interface, and etc are kind of unusual. Plus, the music so far is as generic as you get.
