Separate bundle keys from everything else. That's the solution to my own beef with this thread.

- All bundle keys kept in sig/everyone has an inventory list in sig
- Only semi-new offerings instead of the same stuff for months
- CAG 3.0 option to ignore posters in a certain thread but not any other threads
- Spoilerize bundle keys with a custom spoiler (some do this)

countless solutions
Titan Quest and Heroes of Newerth maybe low enough specs? Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, old Ghost Recons or Rainbows 6, Path of Exile, Dungeon Defenders, Sacred, Trines, Killing Floor, Magicka. In the same boat as you, man. So far all I've been playing with her is minecraft because there's not much else her computer can run :L
For one, the thread definitely needs to be closed/remade. There are too many outdated posts. Ideally, all posts should be ongoing. For example, if I post here that I want super meat boy, 3 months from now someone could find my post and offer it to me. If i no longer want it, or got it already, I should delete/hide my post. For that to work, the search should work though.I could definitely see the thread needing some uncluttering.
Yeah, there should be an entire steam forum where every member can create and update their own individual threads. For one, the thread definitely needs to be closed/remade. When I search this thread for chivalry, I get a post from early August. My post is actually in the middle of that last page. If it was easy for people to find postings, people wouldn't need to re-post every day to bump it. Maybe the search isn't working right due to the largeness of the thread. Anyway, the same people are filling the thread day after day, making it hard to get seen. There needs to be some easy way to sort through these posts. Since a forum thread can be buggy when it gets bigger.
Perhaps a sub-forum just for steam trading/selling? It could have strict rules for posting and the requirement to clearly mark threads that are no longer valid for deletion.
Just throwing out ideas, since the way this thread is going clearly isn't working. At the very least we need a new thread.

I likely buy a game or two from this thread a week, at least of late, and feel I should share my thoughts too...Just throwing out ideas, since the way this thread is going clearly isn't working. At the very least we need a new thread.

I like the thread, I like the one stop shopping feel of it... Checking 50 or so threads to see what people have (I've been out of PC gaming for so long that any post could add to my wish list, just so much out there) just isn't going to work for me... I know I would miss something and or it would take far longer to do what I already do...
That said this thread has some serious faults... if one searches for a title and finds it, one pretty much then has to search through that users threads to see if he has a more current one... I've not messaged anyone about something they no longer have... but I've been darn close to doing so.
The thread needs a reboot, and it needs to adopt the rules of the Xbox DLC thread... One post every few days (3 might be too much), and people need to be required/expected to keep only one trade thread. (aka if you bump yourself to the new section than you have to delete your old post.)
That would pretty much be the best of both worlds...
I agree with everything you say, but aren't these already the rules? The thread needs a reboot, and it needs to adopt the rules of the Xbox DLC thread... So, like always, it's a matter of getting people to follow through. I guess mods included. In this thread, each CAG has one post slot. You maintain your list and that is it. If you want to delete your 1 post and repost your list again to get more recent exposure, that is fine (keep the frequency reasonable).
Mods can easily maintain this list by clicking on the post count and seeing if anyone has more than 1 post count and deleting the others. Hopefully we won't have to do this.
Yeah, I guess it was the rules... and, yeah, the rule enforcement might need a slight push from mods but I suspect it wouldn't take long before the rules where adapted by all... (Much like the xbox DLC thread, granted, I've not been reading it of late but it use to be really well behaved.)So, like always, it's a matter of getting people to follow through. I agree with pretty much everything, though the nature of the Steam daily deals might warrant a daily update. It seems like a number of sellers update daily (or close to) to incorporate the latest daily deal. This might be worth accommodating.I likely buy a game or two from this thread a week, at least of late, and feel I should share my thoughts too...
