take her out to dinner. if you have siblings, make sure they are there, too. time with the family - moms like that kind of stuff.

She reads store ads, bill, and the back of shampoo bottles. She just has this thing about not reading for fun, which is odd since I think most people who know her would assume that she reads tons.

She mostly watches TV (soap operas, general spanish tv stuff), works, cleans, and worries. She's very hard to shop for.

She doesn't really like to go out to eat but we are getting her the type of cake she likes (and we hate) and we'll of coarse eat it together. My brother will be there too.

It's actually not sounding so bad now. Still, I wish she was more receptive to physical gifts.
