It isn't much, but not bad for anyone who put off trying any episodes or were not interested in The Orange Box for some reason. It will update your HL2 copy enough to play the new officially supported mods on Steam.

I still have an Episode 1 gift from when I bought the Orange Box.

If anyone wants Episode 1 for free, I can probably gift it to you on Steam.
 
Haha, I just gifted Ep1 to a friend yesterday.

As for a deal on Ep2... Before playing it, I said it was overpriced at $30. Now, after playing it, I'm not so sure I was correct in saying that. But maybe you can find a retail copy for less. Like when CC had the sale for $10.
 
yeah, not really a great deal since everybody basically already has episode 1. on the bright side, this means i won't be spending money i don't have this weekend! there have been too many good weekend deals to pass up recently and i'm going broke!
