Somehow, I don't think "any" UK friends can ship it for the 1 GBP that Zavvi charges for an order, especially when you have multiple items in one order which are all shipped separately. Zavvi's prices are making up for their subsidized international shipping rates.

I was at Best Buy picking a few steelbooks and I noticed they dropped The Dark Knight Rises steelbook to $19.99 after many months of hovering between 25-30. Went ahead and grabbed it because I'm tired of waiting for it to drop and I want it to match my other Batman steelbooks.

Appears to be in-store only, as it has disappeared off the website.

Well, Best Buy had a lot of success with their Disney MetalPaks, so if they really wanted to, they could convince Disney to have a retailer exclusive. Especially with Steelbooks becoming more popular lately.

They did that to me with ET, though when they re-ordered it, it showed up in a plastic envelope and was half-destroyed in shipment.

That's why I won't ever do a SB shipment from Target or Best Buy unless it's in an order that would be too big to ship without a box.

Sorry for the basic questions but I'm new to Steelbooks.  I was looking through Zaavi's pages and some of them are absolutely gorgeous.  For those of you who buy them, do you mainly just buy them for the case since a lot of them can't be played?  Do they ship them pretty well?
