It's very rare to have a big movie only come out in 3D only. Its going to be 3D and blu ray or blu ray and dvd. I'm hoping for everything in one package, 3D, blu ray, dvd and UV.

Just got a look at it. Might be my favorite Steel ever.

EDIT: Just checked my order history. Forgot I had pre-ordered it when it was first announced way back when. Yay! Hopefully it's region free so I can junk the 3D disc.

For those that prefer the UV format... How do you view the movies in HD?

I use flixster and download movies because I'm on the road a lot. There is no option to download the HD version. That is why I resort to iTunes version when available because they have HD downloads.

I use vudu for my UVs because It works well on my xbone and phone in hdx
 
I prefer UV cause I don't have iTunes at all. It also works on my phone and PS3 in HDX. I don't know what it downloads on my phone by default, but Frozen ended up being 2 GB.

As for GotG Zavvi steelbook... I'm not feeling it. I really want to like it, because I don't like actors in the artwork. But it's basically the GotG album cover, so it's not very creative. Had it been his ship, or a prosthetic foot or something, I would be more into it.

I use the vudu app to download to my ipad, there's an option to download in higher resolutions

Can someone please elaborate on this?

I'd prefer to view HD versions of movies on my ipad since I'm on the road so frequently. Flixster doesn't allow HD downloads, but it seems some of you are able to download in HD for vudu app. How can you do this on ipad?

You have to link your vudu and flixster accounts. Then download the vudu app, go to settings and one of the options is about downloads - I think it says download fastest possible, highest resolution available, etc.

 
There is no option to link flixster and vudu... And in the settings of the app there is no setting to download highest resolution. I have speed or quality. And when I choose quality it comes out in SD still.

I'll have to look at it again, I remember changing the settings because the downloads were taking too much space on my ipad.  I'll take a look and see and post back

Sorry I can't help with the DL speed (Kindle & Note 10.1 are my tablets) BUT to link VUDU & Flixster go to your ultraviolet account (at UVVU.com) and add your VUDU account to your shared list. You are allowed up to six UV accounts to share.

Sucks those steels are that expensive or I'd maybe buy a couple. I can't justify spending near $30 on Jumanji when the regular is $7.99.

Anyone order an extra of Beauty and the Beast? I refreshed constantly on my phone that day, and it never showed as in stock, so I completely missed it.

 
It's neat but I don't think I liked it enough to spend $30ish on it. Maybe if it were $14.99 I'd be into it.

I just got my Godzilla one earlier this week. Love it.

For those of us who don't care about the GB but also don't care whether you discuss this in PMs or elsewhere, please continue to post in this thread. I am an adult with, at minimum, basic reading comprehension skills and can determine whether a post applies to me and my interests or not and does not feel taking a second to read such a post to be a "waste" of my time. I also realize that I can follow or unfollow a thread discussion at my own leisure with the click of a mouse.
