So when are they going to be closing the doors and will they be having a going out of business sale
They closed all of the stores nationwide yesterday. 1/2 reopen in 1 week as BB & the other half are permanently closed.

Do we know for sure if all the FS exclusive Steelbooks are done or will they bring them to the US as Best Buy exclusives?

Still prefer the EU version with the Red Book.

Edit: Don't forget, Interstellar comes out Tuesday!

I would assume that WM should have it in-store, though you may want to check back on their site in the morning to see if there's more back in stock.  Also should work for an in-store stock checker as well.

I have both the Neo pack and SB on order from their respective sources, though I won't be able to hit either store tomorrow to pick them up, which is why I went online this time around.  I expect Target to stiff me on my pre-order, since it's showing up as $22.99 online and the ad is showing $19.99 in-store.  This time around, there is the "Pre-order this item now, and if the price drops before the release date, you.ll pay the lower price." on the SB product page.  It does require them to drop it, of course. :bomb:

We'll see what happens with that tomorrow, worst case I do a return and rebuy in-store before Saturday.  I did check my Target order, which was at $24.99, so they owe me $2 + tax anyway.   Should be $5 + tax for the $19.99 price in-store.

Usually that's target price for a movie during the first week
Umm, besides it being dependent on the specific title, Target actually can run a couple bucks more than Walmart and Best Buy most of the time, which is why unless they have a store exclusive I will go to one of the other retailers first.

But in this specific case the price was pretty much set when it went up on Target.com and ad scans at places like bluray.com also confirmed it a couple weeks ago but even if you didn't see either of those, the print ad came out in yesterdays paper which confirmed the $19.99 price. I can see no reason why it would be different by tomorrow

Anyone need a Justice League: Throne of Atlantis steelbook? I can sell outright or if you have any other steels, Disney and/or 3D blus for trade, let me know. Thanks

I already picked up the steelbook from Target but I'm now questioning if I should get the neopack instead.  I really like the artwork on the neopack more...

The included art book plus the better cover art pushed me to the Neo Case for this release. Local store had about 10 copies this morning.

Did a rare double dip and picked up both the steelbook and neo pack for Interstellar in store this morning before work. Couldn't decide which one I wanted more. Somewhat a waste of money I know but at least that was my favorite movie last year.

I ended up putting in an online, instore pickup order for the neopack at Walmart. I suppose I can decide if I want to pick it up but at least now I won't have to worry about it selling out before I make up my mind.

I'm worried I might end up doing the same thing...

Interstellar steelbook dropped to $19.99 online at Target.com, so we'll see if this pre-order price dropping that they promised does actually pan out.  I did a PDF print of the page, so we'll give them a couple of days to refund me my $5 + tax back from my online pre-order.

RvB and fishphoenix, I ended up double-dipping on both Target and WM versions, mainly because it's a steelbook for one and the Neo case looks even better plus has the artbook.

I got the steelbook only. They had about as many of them as the Fury steelbook. It probably won't sell out, judging by all you people who chose the magno case.

If I could trade my ASM2 magno for a steelbook equivalent, I would.

I really don't dig the cover for the Steelbook for Interstellar......how long were they were on that water planet?  15 minutes?    Maybe there was a test for the steelbook version using the one used for the movie poster and I guess the results came back not so good.

Ended up doing a rare double dip as well. The unique film cells eased the pain a little.

Ack...what the hell am I going to do with a film cell?    I got the one with the school teacher in the beginning I think.  What did they take all the IMAX Prints back and chopped each damn frame and shoved them into every copy of the movie????

They were on the water planet for 23 years ;)

Target sent me an email this morning, saying I was due a credit for my purchase of Interstellar, as the price dropped from $24.99 to $19.99 on release date.  $5.21 was the total credit, which is $5 + 4.2% tax rate on the purchase.

So, maybe the days of Target having higher prices online for items like SBs may be past us.  I have the three other Target SBs pre-ordered (Batman Vs. Robin, American Sniper and The Gambler), so we'll see if it pans out again in a couple of weeks with Batman Vs Robin.

My Interstellar showed up today via UPS, packed in a cardboard mailer, surviving the trip OK.

I got the same. This after I called Target yesterday for a price adjustment. And the credits stacked.

Whoops.

I was going to give the same timeframe I give Amazon, 48 hours after release date. So if I didn't see anything about it by Thursday night, I was going to call them and ask for the credit.

Looks like I don't have to, so that's a good thing. Good that you ended up with a double credit for your troubles.

I've kind of been wondering the same thing. 35MM film cells that come as pack ins are usually first printings that don't even have a soundtrack printed on them yet. This one was the same way but based on the costs of printing IMAX prints, I'm surprised that they seemed to have a huge stock left over. I guess they figured since they've only got Hateful Eight left to print (so far anyway) then screw it, what else are they going to do with the stock?

LOL...

It does make me wonder what the hell do they do with IMAX Prints once the movie is gone from theaters? Can't donate it because not many people have their own true IMAX Screens at home.... burning it would be a sin..... selling the frame would be pointless... checking ebay... the pretty good shots of the main actors go for 15-20...with the highest going for 40 of MM.... so my teacher frame is worth like nothing...boo. lol.

Too bad they didn't do this for TDK/TDKR ... I am sure the Joker frames/Bane frames would go for a lot more....with Joker's being the big seller.

Don't like it, don't buy it. :-({|=

More for those of us that do want it.

Umm no, I am not talking about capitalizing on HL death. I am talking about the very first shot when he takes off his mask in the bank or his reveal to the mob meeting or when he does the magic trick or blowing up the hospital scene... Now that would have been cool to have a film cell of.

Yea, cause capitalizing on Heath Ledger's death would have totally been a smart move.
It's the very last frame after the credit goes off screen. lol

My film cell is all black anyone else get the same thing

I know you don't mean it, but that's basically how it would have been perceived due to the timing, had it happened.
