For those people that did their Mad Max pre-orders in-store, how did you do it? My local store is clueless about it when I went in there today to try and do it.
There was a pre-order card on the new release fixture. They scan the barcode on the card and it rings up $19.99. It was on the backside of the display at the bottom with other pre-sale cards (Pitch Perfect 2, Furious 7, but no Avengers)

I'm almost positive this is standard with BBY, it happened with Mad Max and a few others from what I understand on what I read on BR.com.
Well it hasn't been standard with Best Buy until recently as I never experienced it before with them until the Mad Max steelbook. Then soon after it happened with the Cinderella exclusive and now it appears to be happening with the Avengers steelbook. Doesn't seem to matter how early you preordered it too. I'm not that worried considering my Mad Max steelbook seems to have corrected itself back to shipping, so I am expecting the others to as well.

I called my local store and apparently, those cards get pulled when they're out of their allocations for pre-orders, which this store appears to be. So, since online seems to be broken and my preferred store is out of them, I guess I'll have to wait and see or try another store for a pre-order.

This is looking like Thor 2 all over again.

I could try to place an in-store pickup order for you. If it goes through and you pick it up, you could pay me back cost. I somehow managed to get an order in back on August 21, but it's since changed to giving me the same 'in-store only, but no stores carry it' error.

I appreciate the offer, though I think I'm good.

I went to another Best Buy in the area though it's one with lesser foot traffic than my home store. They still had the pre-order cards, so I grabbed one and checked out. The cashier didn't know what to do with it, so he offered it to me and i took it with me when I left the store.

Hopefully, this should take care of the pre-order and it should be sitting aside for me next week when it releases. I'll check with the store next Tuesday to confirm.

It's sucks that they didn't come out with steelbook ver of walking dead season 1 & 2 with the Walking dead season 5 steelbook coming out tomorrow morning

Managed to find the Shaun of the Dead and The Thing Mondo steels in the clearance section. They were stickered as Online Item and were around $18 apiece.

I really would like to know if the people that preordered it at 19.99 is it still showing up as 19.99 or now 29.99

On the order form it saids 19.99 when you click on the link from the order form it shows 29.99 now.... Man glad I listened to the guys that cancelled and reordered hopefully it goes back to 19.99 on release day

Iwent to buy the Walking Dead season 5 steelbook I was going to pick up seasons 2-3 on Vudu because they were on sale for 19.99 each but the prices went up so I didn't buy them now I need seasons 2-3

I was a little shocked to see that my Target only had 3 steelbooks left for Walking Dead at 10:15am.  You might want to hustle on over to your store if you're picking one up today.  and don't forget your 10% cartwheel coupon.

I ended up doing an in-store pickup order since my shipment order on Target.com hasn't shipped yet.  I just checked with the store and they do have the steelbook set aside for me.  I'll have them cancel the order in-store and then give them the Cartwheel coupon for the extra 10% off.

This time around, the steelbook does have a different DPCI # than the non-steelbook version.

Steelbook: Store Item Number (DPCI): 058-39-0566

Non-steelbook: Store Item Number (DPCI): 058-39-0565

FYI, I tried having an online order cancelled in-store to use Cartwheel last week and they said there's some sort of 24 hour period where they cannot cancel online in-store pickup orders. You may have to return/rebuy tomorrow to use the Cartwheel coupon.

Backup option would be to pick up the item in-store, close out the online order, then do the return-and-rebuy right there in-store before leaving the CS desk window. There's always later in the week as well, as you mentioned.

It's not really 24 hours, but it does take a few hours for it to update in their system. In my experience, it was more like 3 hours.

I picked up the Walking Dead Season 4 & 5 steelbook but couldn't find Season 3 at any of my Target.  Season 4 rang up to the correct price of $19.99.

I encountered a scalper at my local target. I was in there soon after opening and when I went to the DVD section I saw a guy with 6 copies in his arms. Lucky there were two left on the shelf. Seriously needs to be a purchase limit on these things.

That dude needs a kick in the nuts for stuff like that.

You'll find them everywhere, unfortunately.

I need some help.

I'm not savvy with digital media and I'm not sure what to do with my FF7 Cinema now code. I think I have a VuDu account because at one point Walmart gave out free credit but I don't have a Cinemanow account. When I create one can I use a different program to watch the movie? Preferably something that streams to the PS4 or PS3?

If not what supports cinemanow apps?

Thanks

Picked up seasons 4 & 5 as well. I really want season 3, but the only store in my area that has it only had the regular bluray copy.

Be advised some Targets are putting the Walking Dead steelbooks in spider traps.  The one I went to had the steels by the registers in front in spider traps and the ones in the Electronics section in jumbo plastic cases.  Needless to say I took one that was in the jumbo plastic case.

Set up a CinemaNow account and then link it to your VuDu account as bluewelltall suggested.

The only app support on consoles is the Xbox 360. PS3/PS4 don't have Cinemanow app support.

That deserves a hearty fuck You to Target for that. Guess I'll find out tomorrow morning when I pick mine up on the way to work.

Anyone who ordered their Walking dead S5 steelbook online have it ship yet? Last email I got was for it having a release date of 8/25.
I canned my shipping order on Tuesday when it didn't ship and I could do an in-store pickup order.

I would cancel and re-order, assuming you can. Target CS is useless to try and figure out why it didn't ship out.

I got 3 cinema now codes from my Furious 7 steelbook

Good to know, I just ordered another one and if the first one ever gets sent to me I will return it in store. Thanks!

Anyone know how to get Cinema Now to work on a Kindle Fire? The site requires flash, which the Kindle doesn't support and there's no app for it on the Kindle marketplace.

Target.com put Walking Dead S5 steelbooks on backorder first thing Tuesday morning, with a "ships in 2-4 weeks" note. I managed to find one locally, but note that the store counts are wrong. I went to several Targets, all of which showed multiple copies in stock, but only one of which had one.

Sideload Google Play on there and get it from there? Assuming there's an Android app at all for it.

Why not link your CinemaNow and Vudu accounts together via Ultraviolet and do it through there?

Target.com, one again being the Christopher Columbus on the ships setting sail for fail. So glad I dumped my online order and went with an in-store pickup order.

Might be my backup option if the other pre-orders I have don't ship out 1-2 days in advance of release date.

Wow, I don't know if they underestimated demand for the Mad Max SB or what, but I got to my store at opening and they didn't have any on the floor. When I asked about it, they said they only got 3 and they were preorder. I find it hard to believe that they only had 3 preorder slots but there were none available for purchase.
