Supposedly the new Mondo steelbooks (Highlander, Reservoir Dogs) are being sold in store at Target in limited quantities, and at $14.99 each to boot.

Crap, wish I saw this before I ran to Target to get the Just Cause 3 steelbooks. Looks like I get to make a second trip this morning.

EDIT: They are available for in-store pickup only right now, so you can do an in-store pickup order for them. They're still $19.99 online, though they should change to $14.99 each when picking them up. If not, then cancel the order and rebuy them in-store. I made an in-store pickup order for them, just to be safe.

Has anyone still not received their $5 Target GC for pre-ordering Terminator: Genisys? Mine has been saying shipped for over a week now, and I'm not even sure why it took so long to ship in the first place. If I call them to check on my order, will I leave satisfied or fearful for humanity's future?

I called the "Online Experience" phone number for Target and there was a quick message about the website being backed up and then the call ended. Awesome.

EDIT: I called the Instore Experience number and navigated the menu to the online order department. According to the lady I spoke to the card has already been delivered, when in fact I haven't received it (I check the mail every day) and the order status on target.com still shows that the gift card hasn't been delivered. Shenanigans! :)

After a call to my local store, they have my Highlander and Reservoir Dogs SBs waiting for me, as well as my in-store pickup order showing that they're ready for pickup.  Said local store only had one of the Highlander SBs and two of the Reservoir Dogs SBs when I put in the in-store pickup order, so the call seemed justified.

They're on hold either way, so I'll find out if the in-store pickup does have them down to $14.99 each when picking them up.  If not, then it'll be a return and repurchase at the $14.99 price.  Plus, I need to go back anyway and have them give me the $6 back on Just Cause 3 since I didn't know about the Cartwheel coupon on it when I checked out earlier today.

 
I have them both in hand and I gotta say these Highlander and Reservoir Dogs steelbooks are very nice.  The Mondo artist's work translates perfectly to this medium and the the glossy finish on these printings works wonderfully.  Really love how these steelbooks turned out. 

I already own a few Tyler Stout prints and have been following Mondo art releases for a few years so I've familiar with these prints previously.  It's great to see some of these artists getting their due in the mass market.   Alexander Iaccarino's Uncharted 4 steelbook is going to look great.

Store pickup for the Mondo steelbooks went without issue, showed the $14.99 in-store price auto-deducted from the original order as a $10 discount, so that was nice.

Also did the return-and-rebuy on the Just Cause 3 SB to get the 10% back on the Cartwheel coupon, so that was a double-win.  Game appears to have some ugly issues with performance, so it may sit around for a while before getting played.

Mine had a couple of light scratches but I couldn't rationalize returning because the slip cover would make the next one a crap shoot too. I also saw enough performance issues that I may hold out for a patch through I don't think I've ever seen an effective performance patch on a console ever.

 
Well the Christmas Vacation steel I had a hard time ordering on Target.com yesterday has been cancleled (site shows it's backordered 2-4 weeks now) but they are sending me a $10 e-gift card.

I had a pre-order for it on BestBuy.com that was backordered when ordered and I canceled it and ordered from Amazon. That one was backordered as well, though arrived yesterday. Was $12.49, so it was cheaper than Best Buy when it finally shipped out, though it's not showing as available on Amazon.

Not sure what's up with this release, though I wouldn't think a movie like this would seem to have a limited release inventory.

The week it came out I remember seeing it at multiple Best Buys and it was still available at my local Best Buys as of about a week ago.

I went to a Target this AM and picked up one each of the Highlander and Reservoir Dogs steelbooks. I was about to cancel my online order which is still pending, but have heard some people post their orders have been canceled which could possibly mean a free gift card. So I guess I'll hold off on canceling it for now (and will return them to the store if they send them out).

I canceled my online order with BB when I found it was cheaper at Amazon and dropped down to the $12.49 I ended up with. Sounds like I lucked out with getting it from Amazon. BB.com shows it as "Check Stores" and only one store around me seems to have it. I guess this is going to be rare and we didn't think it would be, as it appears. One Amazon 3rd party vendor has it for $39.95 + shipping, yay capitalism.

I canned my online shipment order for the two Mondo SBs when they were showing as "Not Available Online", so I guess I screwed myself out of a potential free GC. Oh well.

 
A couple of area Best Buy's around me have it and it's $13.99 right now so I'll go pick it up this weekend. Because it's Christmas season and it's a steelbook I expected it to be sought after but not to the extent Target and Amazon would have it backordered especially since it's not retailer exclusive.

 
Zoolander SB at Amazon just changed from the steelbook and now looks like the "regular" version.  Image is different as well.

I canceled my order as Amazon was showing the ASIN # of the item that used to be the SB as "Currently Unavailble", so remade a new order at WM for it.

I have a feeling the Steelbook including the Derek Zoolander headband will be what is exclusive to Walmart. Best Buy is also rumored to later have the steelbook as well.

Guess anyone who ended up with it for $24.99 lucked out if $27.99 is the official price.

It's showing the $27.99 price online, though it has the "Shipping: Coming Soon" and "Store PIckup: Coming Soon", which makes me think we might have a Mad Max on our hands, if not a Thor 2.

Really glad I snagged it at $24.99 now! I wonder if BB priced it higher because they knew they had shorter supply and let's face it, they were going to sell at any price lower than $30 anyway. Will wait and see how many the stores get in before guessing on rarity.

 
I guess those of us that preordered the steelbook for Antman won't be eligible for the bonus $5 reward certificate? It seems that only the regular 3d version is the only on that links back to that promo.

Just received a shipping notice for Ant Man, so I should hopefully have it on Tuesday, if not Monday. Also checked the order, shows the $27.99 + tax price on it, so that's already fixed. Still wasn't $24.99, though I'll see if I can email them about it and get them to cover that price. Only costs email time to do it.

The ad only showed the non-SB version of Ant Man at $19.99 was eligible for the $5 bonus certs, with F4 2015, Scorch Trials and Rogue Nation SBs being part of the $19.99/$5 RZ Bonus cert promotion as listed in the ad. So, no, the SB for Ant Man wasn't part of it.

 
I'm really happy with the Star Wars Battlefront steelbook. It has a color pencil feel to it, and is matte with like no finish (so it's a little sandpaper-y to the touch).

 
Since a sequel  isn't coming out soon, I'll probably skip the Ant-Man Steelbook and just get the 3D version. After I sell the 3D and DVD discs, I'll probably slap the Blu-ray in with one of the Avengers Steelbooks for now.

Sound like me, figured I'll be OK on cost since I'll probably sell half the code and 3d version.
 
Disappointed that the Ant Man SB didn't drop to $20 like Marvel SBs in the past but at least my online order automatically revised to match the sale price.
 
Someone on the bluray.com forum said that they have a friend who works at BB and that the Mission Impossible Rogue Nation SB will be on sale for $17.99 next week so take that for what it's worth.

Also the Ant-Man steelbook is available to order again for shipping only. Just placed my order so pretty happy I wont have to wake up early trying to get one.

 
Got the Ant Man steelbook early today and it's quite good. Haven't seen the movie but there's some nice personality to the case including an embossed hole that ant man is jumping through and an asset tag that anyone familiar with corporate culture and IT services would immediately get. The interior is a little photoshopped but is still cute with ants crawling around the circuit board which is confusing considering it looks from the outside to be an SSD drive. Finally, it was a bit of a xmas miracle it had no dents considering the cardboard slip case it was shipped in but I won't question the mystery.

Well I wake up and bought Ant-Man online this morning, but still went to store at 10:08 am. Before I went to pick up the movie I check if I haven't bought it if I'll find one, and to my surprised it was all empty. I think I did the right time to buy it online.
