Why is it taking so long for the Walking dead season 6 steelbook  to get instore pickup

Well, my TWD S6 copies (yes, I said copies) showed up today from Target.  I apparently forgot to cancel my order I placed back in June when the $10 GC came up when I made my other order when it was $39.99 with the $10 GC.  Looks like I get a full $10 GC with the order, since I'm sure the one I'm returning that was $44.99 will have a $34.99 return value due to the $10 GC.  Oh well.

At least we don't get a, "hey does this charge you when you place an order."

Yes it is. It is recommended to redeem WB 4k codes on Flixster, Redeem Sony at Sony redeem page, and Redeem Universal on Universal redeem page. Some have worked on Vudu but some have had problems redeeming that way
I did it on vudu you also get a free movie I wish was 4k movies but it wasn't so I got the guest

BLAH THIRTY DOLLAR STEELBOOKS, BLAH I SAY.

It's approaching the time for me to take ~2yrs  off media purchasing again.  It's another one of those transitional periods.

I'd imagine they would use the zavvi art that's in the same style as the latest steelbook releases:

4k/3D is nice to see but I haven't seen the movie and I'm trying to get out of the business of owning bad or mediocre films that just have a steelbook.

Since the two BB ones for the first two movies matched the ones on Zavvi, it's a safe bet that this will be the same at BB as the one we're seeing from Zavvi.

BB 4K/3D Ghostbusters SB @ $29.99: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/ghostbusters-4k-ultra-hd-3d-blu-ray-digital-copy-steelbook-only--best-buy/5450507.p?id=3594284&skuId=5450507

No mention on the non-4K SB if there's 3D included or not. I'm guessing if people want the 3D and a SB, they're going to have to go up to the 4K one.
Looks like Best Buy removed the "3D" references on their 4K steelbook page.

Just as a refresher, these were theatrical releases with zero additional footage, correct? The Best Buy pages don't mention any special features so I'm assuming there are none.
No, these are the "Special Editions" with George Lucas-added footage. The "originals" haven't been released on Blu-ray (yet?).

Ah well there goes my insta-buy desires...thanks for the info. For the price, I'll consider it but the wow factor I had when I first read this is gone.

The torch people carry for those movies could burn down California. There's rumors of both 3D release of the prequels which are apparently complete as well bluray released of the originals since Disney owns it all and GL can't veto the originals anymore.

Now You See Me Steelbook @ BB dropped to $12.99: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/now-you-see-me-includes-digital-copy-blu-ray-steelbook-only--best-buy-2013/5577770.p?skuId=5577770

Now You See Me 2 Steelbook @ BB dropped to $19.99: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/now-you-see-me-2-includes-digital-copy-blu-ray-dvd-steelbook-only--best-buy-2016/5515800.p?skuId=5515800

Both release on Tuesday the 6th, so I'm assuming these are release prices.  I'm waiting for my order with both of them to adjust down to those prices and will follow up with BB CS if they don't by shipment time.

I am going to buy those Now You See Me steelbooks, but I'm going to wait and see if there's a bundle sale offer in tomorrow's ad.  They often do this with dual new release steelbooks of backlog movies.

The two Now You See Me steelbooks I ordered just shipped, though they price-adjusted before they shipped out. If there's a bundle savings with buying both at the same time from next week's ad, I'll just contact BB CS and have them credit it back to me.

I just received my BB ad for tomorrow and it doesn't show the Now You See Me 1 SB listed in the ad flier, nor nothing about any combo savings on buying both at the same time. Only mention of either movie is the 4K version of Now You See Me 1 @ $19.99, the Now You See Me 2 steelbook @ $19.99 and the 4K version of Now You See Me 2 @ $27.99.

Best Buy YMMV, in the labor day weekend email I received a $5 gift card towards a future purchase.  Expires 9/16.  Could be useful for the upcoming blu-ray releases.  Will be using mine on Civil War.  :D/

I hated the Martian.  Thought it was terrible.  Just leave him for dead, why do we have to leave right now?  Why are they leaving in the middle of a storm?  Why is any of this happening?? It just jumps into BS mode from the very start.  Very generic,  poor timeline that made no sense near the end.

Interstellar is amazing and it's one of the very best movies from the last two years.  God I love Interstellar.  The Martian is just incredibly overrated and I'm surprised the movie critics are that shallow.

Interesting. I actually thought the opposite. I thought Interstellar was crazy overrated while the Martian took my breath away. In my opinion, Matt Damon gave a better performance than Leo's winning performance. I thought Matt absolutely nailed his role and is a huge reason I found that film so entertaining.

Definitely in for Kingsman. Fantastic movie.

Martian was one of my favorite movies of the year and up there in my favorites of all time.

I guess you weren't watching the movie when they explained why they were leaving in the middle of a storm. Not generic at all. Not sure how you through the timeline made no sense at the end, though everyone is allowed their own opinions. Sorry to hear you didn't like it.

They did do some compression of events as detailed out in the book, though it didn't affect the main story as a whole.

Great, they announce a Martian Extended Edition steelbook mere days after I pick up the standard Extended copy for $14.99 at Best Buy.    It has a pretty sweet slipcover and also contains $7.50 in movie money towards a couple upcoming releases, so I still think I'll keep it and skip the steelbook.  Uggh.

My Civil War just steel shipped.  Though I forgot to cancel and reorder for the 2-day shipping, so I likely won't see it til this time next week.

Mine did as well last night. I should see mine on Tuesday. I also checked my order and it dropped in price to $27.99, which appears to be the sale price in the flyer for next week's sale which showed up in newspaper this morning.

Shipping is locked out for Civil War, though in-store pickup is live still.

And speaking of steelbooks, I was in-store at my local BB last night and there were Now You See Me 1 & 2 SBs on the standing rack by the front doors. Guess they either over-produced them or demand isn't high for them.

After reading your post I went to check for the hell of it and mine was changed to $27.99 as well. Also to my surprise the tracking shows it's already at my post office. BB must have retroactively changed the shipping on it to the 2-day they now have as the order was placed well before they implemented it.
