Personally, I think they could've done a much better job with the cover art. This would have been a far better release than Age of Ultron to do 2 unique versions one with Cap the other with Iron Man, or perhaps a cover with both sides coming at each other like the iconic Uncanny X-Men #100 cover. Or even a double sided one like BvS.

You put your sig in the picture? Fantastic. Agreed that the case was just pretty meh, especially when they split a head and a shield down the middle. All your suggestions sound better imo. Was excited to see that I was getting my Monday and felt special getting it a day earlier. You guys ruin everything.

I wanna like those movies but they're terrible so I don't. 3D could almost tempt me into Polar Express but of all the Zemeckis abominations I still think Beowulf is probably the best and already have A Christmas Carol.

Apparently my Civil War steelbook didn't ship until yesterday and it is now not being delivered till tomorrow. Between this and the Madden fiasco I'm really not liking Best Buy lately...
 
I'm 0 for 2 on my last two steelbooks. I picked up my Civil War and when I got home I noticed a dent on both sides of the bottom edge. Almost like someone dropped it on the edge of a counter.  Of course no stores around me have copies available so I guess I will have to live with it. I couldn't see the damage because of the cardboard card covering the bottom edge plus the way the instore pick up sticker was one there didnt help either. I wonder if they will let me swap it out for a regular copy?

 
Anybody see Transformers The Movie Steelbook out in the wild?  None at my BB, and not available online either.  Walmart had the DVD but no Bluray.

 
For Transformers, all the Best Buy's in my area, Pittsburgh, PA, got a few in stock. Come opening hour on Tuesday, NONE were available. Was luckily able to order one online before they were back ordered there too.
 
not worried about the transformers steelbook.  it is available at multiple retailers.  waiting for it to come down from its $28 price.

It was $19.99 at some point on Amazon, which may have been a PM to Best Buy if I remember right. That was what I paid for it and I'm fine with it at that price.

 
Normally I preorder for in store pick up at BB for these steels but I wanted to pay cash and was able to get to the store at opening. Got Civil War no problem as there were about 20 total between the front display and the new release rack. The first place I looked for Transformers was on the new release aisle but it wasn't there. A guy came up to me holding it and he said he got it from the backside of the front display but there was only one, ugh. I checked the app and no store within 70 miles had it. I almost ordered for store pick up from one of those stores and figured I could go pick it up this weekend but by the time I made my mind up those were sold too. So I turned to Amazon but they show $34.99 now and "Temporarily Out Of Stock - Order now and we will ship when available", so I ordered and they charged me right away. I am assuming they are definitely restocking then. I almost ordered directly through Shout Factory but after tax an shipping the cost would've been the same as I paid through Amazon.

 
Honestly, if you want to pay cash, buy a gift card with the cash then buy the steelbook with the gift card.

With steelbooks and rarer items, I always order ASAP and decide later.

Normally I preorde with my card but I just happened to have the cash on me, no time to go get a gift card ahead of time, and figured if I struck out at BB I could fall back on Amazon

Mine auto-adjusted down from $27.99 to $22.99 before shipment. I guess $22.99 is the release price, unless we see it cheaper in next week's ad.

 
So are certain BB movie pre orders supposed to come with some amount of bonus points? If so how do I get them as I haven't gotten them on the last two or three movies I've pre ordered from them. Thanks in advance.

Unlike for video games where you can preorder anytime and get the bonus points you need to preorder during the promotional period to get the movie bonus points. If you don't preorder during the specific period the bonus was offered it will be a hassle to get the points. I've gone through it a couple of times and now just cancel and reorder when a new bonus is offered for a movie I already preordered.

I've only done it online so I'm not sure. Though if it was advertised in store then they should honor it. Sounds like you should contact CS.

If it was a misprint, it should be listed in-store as a misprint. Issue is, I can't pick up a replacement copy @ $19.99 until it's out in-store on Tuesday.

I'd love to get that but also hope (and assume) there's more coming from the studio. I own Coraline and Box Trolls and they really age wonderfully due to the animation style.

It has to be a misprice, since it's not saying "Sale $24.99" with the price discounted from the MSRP. In for a copy just in case.

Cool idea either way, even though I have the 3D versions of the other three movies besides Kubo. It's a steelbook, damn my resolve. :drool:
