street fighter collection controllers

I will probably get one, even though I don't really like third party controllers -- but I'm looking forward to the Street Fighter Anniversary game coming out soon.

Come on the PS2 is just as good as messing up games, even more so if you stand it up vertically like Sony intially wanted. Cause that looks all trendy and hip

You are still the only person I've ever heard of with a problem like that... you realize a laser, being a laser and all, can't scratch a disc right? Poor handling is poor handling, don't blame the console.
 
This controller is a must if you played SF in the genesis or saturn days. (I had the special capcom pad for the snes). If you have seen them. look at ebgames.com or lik sang. I am getting the Chun Li one since I like how it looks like my old import saturn pad. I can look at her crotch while the games load up too.

If I am the only person why did MS in Japan stage a large recall of their systems. I highly doubt there was anything different internally about their systems and mine. The fact that they ever owned up to their mistakes in America and think that riding the wave of technological superiority makes them immune to defective hardware pisses me off.

Let us not forget about all the people who get DDE on their Xbox systems and had to replace them.



on and on the poor handling comment, GCn discs I can understand as I stack them sometimes one on another, but games I only played for an hour are messed up and never went any place except from the case to the console

also on my first Xbox, the only game I had was Halo so it never went anywhere( I rented Max Payne once, but that was the only thing besides halo in the system). About 6 months later I finally go to get a new game, and when I did I went to put Halo back in and it would not work, I check the disc and it looks like it was scrapped on concrete it was in such bad shape

XBL is the funnest thing to happen to console gaming. You can buy a $50 and play it for a year. You can't say that about much PS2 games. SF ann. is come out on PS2 sooner but no online action. I'm going to pick up the chung-li controller, I'm in love. :)

I hope to get the Akuma or Ryu controller... or whatever else those "hiddne" characters are.. maybe guile...
 
almost all of those "hidden" ones are obvious, except for the one to the right of ken. is that supposed to be vega?

for those who don't find them so obvious... the ?'s are guile, ryu (yes, another one), sagat, cammy, bison, and the other one i can't figure out. the art is from super street fighter 2/super street fighter 2 turbo, but i'm guessing they'll be coming out with different art for the actual controllers.
 
Whoa, I may have to get more than two of these, if the art on those "hidden" controllers is as sweet.

Hopefully Ryu will be Dark Ryu.
 
it would have been cool if they released a zangief controller. i can't wait for this collection to come out. it's been a long time since i used the spinning pile driver
 
That Akuma one is SWEET. Did they only put these controllers together for PS2? It'd be a shame to have to get a controller converter to use it with the XBL version of the game.

And I just noticed that the pic in the middle changes as you tilt the controller. Nice touch.

I wouldn't mind picking one up...I just hope that it plays well and feels good in my hands. If so.. then I might pick up two ... don't know which ones' though.

MAS sticks aren't exactly suitable for the cheap ass wallet... but they're damn near the best. i've got one, and an x-arcade stick... probably the best things next to building your own.

That is the official cover art for the game. The pic is great except Ryu just looks wrong for some reason. I think they messed up his hair. Gotta love that up close Gief profile though.

Wish: If they could make a plot point related controller, I'd love it if they showed Ryu giving Sagat that scar from SF1. They could do it with three images... never gonna happen but it'd be nice.
 
I will own the Akuma controller. It's a shame I will be buying the xbox version of the collection for the online play. Some where some one was like "Lets put all the online fighters on xbox." and they listened.

Everyone knows that Microsoft eschewed the laser for a record needle. The Xbox is pure vinyl. I play my 45's in it all the time.

But seriously. He is the only one that this has ever happened to. And since it wasn't a console specific problem, I chalk this one up to user error.
 
I got to play with these controllers for a little bit at the SDCC. Well, by play, I mean put up a struggle while some expert destroyed me.

But, from the little I played, the controllers seemed good and responsive. Almost as good as my DC ASCII pad.

If I was the only one, there would not have been a huge recall in Japan due to many people having the same problem. And since they brought over the Japanese Xbox controllers to America, what makes you think that they did not just stick the system in a different box and send it to the stores like they did with those controllers?
