Stuttering video need help!

I've downloaded some episodes of deadlist warrior and when I watch them in VLC the video seems a little choppy

What can it be?

Outdated computer immediately comes to mind. What's your processor and video card? Is this video high definition?

My computer is very old ( I don't think the video is HD thought

the video is 350 megs and its about 45 minutes long

1 ghz intel celeron 256 megs of ram and 32 megs of video memory

all my other videos play fine just seems to be these and HD movies

Yeah your processor and ram is not good enough to watch the video without being choppy. Video memory doesn't matter.

Yeah I have an old laptop with a 1.7ghz processor and has trouble with Hulu videos at 480, a 1ghz would have problems with almost anything.

Since other videos play fine, this particular video could be using a codec that VLC doesn't do well with decoding. I would recommend trying something like GOM Player, at least temporarily, to see if that's the issue.

I got it working at full speed turns out i just needed to update my VLC player to the newest version
