Suggestions for a Fairy Tale rewrite

EddieBelfour

CAGiversary!
In my creative writing class we have to “remake” a fairy tale. I never read them as a child and am having a hell of a time coming up with an idea- not the idea, but a fairy tale. The best way I can describe the assignment is by bringing up the movie “Freeway” (based on little red riding hood) and “Freeway 2” (based on hansel and gretel). We are expected to come up with something like that. I can write like the wind, if the wind could write, but I just don’t know what fairy tale to use. I would rather use one that is off the beaten path i.e. not jack and the beanstalk or Cinderella. If anyone can help a brother out, I give you props. Thanks in advance.
Do little red riding hood from the point of view of the wolf. Try to make the wolf a sympathetic figure.

Hungry, starving, alone...
use my sig instead

I like the idea of Little Red Riding Hood meets a tanuki.

Ok, I don't know how this came to me, but you could do Snow White but fill in the details from the Loraina Bobbit story. Lorainna is jealous of John so she does her thing (like the witch poisoning snow white) and then the porn industry can act like the dwarves or maybe the prince and "awaken" his manhood by allowing him to star in Frankenpenis.

I'll go kill myself now.

when i looked at his sig, i began to rethink my career as an underachieving college student.

Yeah, the wolf one seems good, although I think it has already been done. There have been a lot of those fairy tales shown form the point of view of the villain in the last couple years.

You could have the wolf be the landlord and the pigs haven't payed rent in a while.
You could have the pigs sue the contractors who built the straw and stick houses.
