i just bought the 250 gb system cause my elite crapped out...and now they are offering a 50$gc.....got my reciept in hand...i will be getting my gc..oh yes i will be!

Black messenger kit? That means I can finally get a chatpad, hurray. I've been using my iphone to send messages, now I don't have to put down the controller.

I keep trying to convince myself not to buy a 360s. I love the piano black, but my eilte still works and I just bought the N adapter and fiber optic dongle over summer. But that 120g does fill up fast if I load more than five games on the HD at one time. I should probably wait until I actually need a new xbox.
Rule is normally 14 days so you should be fine. Go in with receipt and get back the difference.
Is it 14 days or 30 days?

Walmart.com has the 250GB + $50 egift card now but it's not the greatest deal after tax and shipping. Hopefully Amazon matches one of the deals.

I received a bunch of Best Buy gift cards over the holidays. So, the question is, would it be worthwhile to get the 360 Slim 250 gig on this deal? Or should I wait for a better offer to come around? And if I did leap on this deal, what are the necessities to pick up after (ie: HDMI cable, controller, etc.)?

I already own a PS3 (and just upgraded it's hard drive to 320 gigs from 160 gigs) and Wii. So, it's tempting, but hard to say yay or nay to.

I ordered Your Shape and own kinect sports... I really like the kinect sports so far.

Regular returns are different for different things. From their website:
Return and Exchange Period
You can return or exchange purchases within the timeframes below.
14 days for computers, monitors, projectors, camcorders, digital cameras, iPad, tablets and radar detectors
30 days for all other products
45 days for all products for Reward Zone Premier Silver members*

Here is their "Holiday Return Policy": http://www.bestbuy.com/site/null/Cu...500050003.c?id=pcmcat166500050003&h=387&h=403
It says any "gift purchase" from Nov 1-Dec 24 can be returned until Jan 31, with a few caveats.
It WAS a gift, wasn't it? ;)
Mafia II is tempting..but I have a feeling by the time I actually want to play it, it will be cheaper. Ill pass!
Yeah, same here. I have a BB gift card from Christmas to use, but I might wait for one of the big January releases like Dead Space 2.

My best buy has a few Mafia 2 Limited Editions marked as $59.99..any chance y'all think my store, as well as others, will mark them down since MAfia 2 will be $29.99 on sale?

I'd love to nab a LE for $30

Halo's been on sale for nearly two months now. Retailers must have an overabundance of the game in need of liquidation.

went in today to buy a 250 360-S, asked about the gift card...they said i could buy it today and come back, but i would need to bring the console back to scan back in...which made no sense. ill just buy it tomorrow

oh well, my 2 year old pro still works like day 1 (still no freezes or issues)...but i have $300 in reward zone certs ready to be spent!

I'd like to throw in an interesting find:

I called Best Buy to ask if they'd PM on the holiday bundle deal at TRU (essentially the same console in the ad, but with 2 games), and they said no. I then mentioned the ad for tomorrow (which is essentially the same deal, but without games), and asked if that would include the holiday bundle. She was unaware of the ad, but said that to the best of her knowledge, as long as the holiday bundle is in stock, they most likely will match the gift cards for the holiday bundle in addition to the non-holiday non-kinect bundle as they're the same price.

I'd love for confirmation from another employee as I have to wait till tomorrow morning (due to the ad not being out yet), but they're holding it for me.

Ditto!

They probably wouldnt do that but it would be sweet. Ive been waiting for a deal on this and $30 seems just right.

Might have to get the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit (Black). Been looking for a second chatpad for the upstairs xbox

It'd be nice if they actually had it on the website so I could see if my store even has it in stock.

Kinect Sports is the better of the 2 games. Fitness is just okay.

Copied from online flash ad on toysrus.com
My local weekend paper didn't include the TRU ad.

What accessories have been clearanced? Any help would be great. I would like to make a list before I go tomorrow.

The ad didn't say specifically which accessories are on clearance.
You're going to have to go to the local store to see what that have on clearance there.

Slightly off topic but are there any coupons on toys right now?

Now that I've seen the movie, I really want a Tron Identity Disc.

I had a 20% off coupon but it expired the 24th of December.

I just bought a 250gb 360 from them a few days ago. Will they give me a gift card if I bring in the receipt?

My cousin got my wife and I Just Dance 2 for Christmas. The game is great! It's not 100% accurate in terms of detecting the Remote, but the game is designed for having fun and not a DDR clone at all. I for one loved the ability to just dance around with my wife and kids without fear of failing out. The routines are varied and fun to dance to and the presentation of the dancers is wonderfully stylized and easy to understand.

The first Just Dance used the nunchuck I believe, whereas Just Dance 2 uses only the remote. I haven't played the first one, but all the reviews of JD2 say it's the better and more refined of the two.

I've read that Just Dance Kids is also fun. I may pick that up one day, too.

TRU thinks you're fat, time to work out those pounds

& you aren't gonna lose them playing dancing video games =\ Makes me wonder what kind of dimwits buys these abominations...

Saying you will lose weight with dance games on the wii is like saying you`re going to lose weight by playing Dj Hero. But kinect Adventures on the other hand, thats a different story.

It's not impossible... let alone hard to comprehend. After all, not sure if anyone remembers both the great WiiSports and WiiFit experiment a guy did using those games to get in shape (one of which being his wedding), but before that people were using games like DDR for similar reasons. It's not as intensive as doing an actual work out but it does constitute some means of exercise if only because the player is being active and promoting physical exertion. At least moreso than sitting on a couch with a controller in their hand.

Makes me wonder what kind of dimwits buys these abominations...

Couldn't tell you specifically but recently Ubisoft let it on that their Just Dance series alone has sold over 4 million for an IP that is just over a year old. And it's also likely that Dance Central could be a potential million seller for Kinect if it hasn't become one already, and let's not forget the Michael Jackson game that likely also moved a lot of units and then there are those exercise games based around dance like Zumba which has been doing well.

Tons of "dimwits" apparently, is all I can say.
