Super Princess Peach
just quick related question I knoticed in game that it looks like it needs the stilus? Do most ds game need it?
Most gamses, if not all, use the stylus for something....not sure if this requires it though.

Are we sure that Peach thong shot was real? I have a hard time believing Nintendo would do something like that.

Because making a new Mario DS game is too difficult for them? I hope to hell the touch screen view doesn't look like that when this game comes out.
Wow, That looks really good! I can't wait for it to come out here.

Must say I'm also happy to see Peach get her own game. And as megaseadramon said I like how nintendo puts females in a positive light and not the stereo type eye candy with Big Boobs.
*looks at your avatar*.... "puts females in a positive light"
Interesting....
It's probably not too language-intensive. If this doesn't get announced sometime soon, I'm thinking I'll import this for Christmas
agreed, i want to play this game

You have never played Mario Sunshine have you?

If so then I guess you like how Nintendo makes females act like a dumbass blonde dyke.

"You're my daddie?!?!"

In the recent Zelda's, well, Zelda has not been a typical girl. We saw her different personas in Ocarina of Time, and obviously in Wind Waker she was a very different character (Hell, you couldn't beat the game without her).

"Look at me, I'm an independent girl...wait, what's that? I'm in a pink dress now? Oh shit, I'm helpless all of a sudden, save me Link!"
I decided to import this and my copy should arrive by Wednesday...I'll give some impressions then if anyone cares.
Did it come in?

Ok... A little bit or now.

So far Ive played through Level 1-6.
The first few levels are extremly easy...just kinda getting you into the mix.
The game feels alot like Yoshi's Island, with a bit of Super Mario World thrown in the mix.
Peach can attach enimies with her umbrella, as well as picking them up to through at 'purses' to get some coins/hearts. The game has a bit of a puzzle feel to it as through some stages you are made to remember colors of mushrooms and only hit the same color flowers in the next part of the level.

Most of you know, Peach has emotions.
The one I have used the most is the 'green' one with makes Peach cry. Her cryings allows her to water flowers and have them grow (Much like in Yoshis Island) to allow her to finsih a level or collect a toad (3 in each level are trapped). This emotion also allows her to rn really fast, so she can cross bridges that collapse to easily.
The second emotion is 'red' which is Fire. It makes Peach really angry, angry enough to burn down bridges.
The third emotion is...yellow I think. This gives her a forcefield I beleive (never used it)
The fourth is orange which allows Peach to fly.

Like I said above, each level has 3 toads you must get. Sometimes you can get them right away, sometimes not until you have new moves. Yes, you get new moves. With the coins you collect you can purchase a few new moves, as well as other things (Its in japanese...Im unsure).

The first bos level takes advantage of the stylus and acts alot like the Mini-game in Super Mario 64 DS where you fling Mario into th sky. Really awesome.

Alright, thats it. I'll post a bit more later, right now Im extremtly tired and hopefully this impressions makes sense.
I also like how nintendo puts females in a positive light instead of just the blonde, big boobed, army chicks that appear to be in every game I look at.
Her name is Princess Peach. If someone in the real world had that name, dollars to dildos she's a pornstar. No doubt about it.

On a side note, how many words has Mario uttered in games total? Enough to put him over the mentally retarded line?

Are army girls hot now? Back when I was in high school, the ROTC girls were very often the most undesirable (no offense if you're an ugly ROTC girl). ;)

Games that are made specifically for girls probably often fail. Now games that are made for EVERYONE that includes girls, thats ok.

oh my god, he used the word 'kiddie'

Is it really in a pink box? I heard that Walmart or one of the major retailers wont carry things in pink boxes

I'de be willing to bet the spine of the case is pink. "Kiddie" is generally used incorrectly from what I've seen. I'd describe a game like Chicken Little as kiddie(ie poorly designed and extremely basic), but this...this is fucking sweet. I think the game looks awesome, I mean come on, look at it.

Essentially, it's for girls because there is a girl hero and there's emotions. OMG! It's a Mario game. Next thing they're gonna tell me is that Mario 2 was for girls since you could play the Princess.

Seems like a decent review overall in spite of that. Gotta go preorder this when I pick up Chibi Robo or AOE DS, whatever hits GameRush first.

" Super Princess Peach is about capturing the casual gamer; specifically"]

Indeed!

Sounds like another game that those asshats who felt their masculinity was threatened by Nintendogs will shy away from. That works for me. Just means I'll have an easier time scoring a copy.

If Peach was half naked and had an over sized chest that the reviewer could beat off to while he played then it wouldnt be a chick game.

From what I have seen the game looks great. An actual fun platformer to play. I cant wait.

ok can some1 tell me who the blood is Princess Peach?!?!

I mean, what happened to princess Toadstool??

is it the same person? or did the name change??

and who is Daisy???

and Eggman too, is that different than Dr Robotnik or the same guy??

Well no shame here for me...

I was 98% of the time the Princess (Toadstool?) in SMB2... except for a few of the sand digging levels.

Her jump owned.

Where have you BEEN?

zing! im still picking this one up. we got the box art at gamestop, i dont think its "for girls" although im sure nintendo made this with the idea of adding female gamers to their demographic.

Musha666 has the right idea, if the princess had two huge guns along with two huge "guns" then this would be a game everybody would love. But since its only a normal looking girl, it will be thrown to the side like many other good games.

yeah - i'm looking forward to this one - as is my gf - she's just gotten her own ds (and I've also ordered her a pink ds shhhh) and is loving ac:ww and lost in blue. We are both having a great time gaming togeater so I'm happy nintendo is going after the girls with some of these games because it's giving me and my gf one more thing we can do togeather.

I didn't know there were people that took IGN seriously...

I'm definitely picking it up. Looks better than the last few Mario games IMO.

There was a Princess Toadstool?

Daisey is the princess from the real arcade version of Donkey Kong and then I think they made her Lugi's princess.
There was a Princess Toadstool?
That's what she was called in the NES days. All of her subjects were toadstools, obviously.

...I think she's been called Peach since Mario 64 (1996) if I'm remembering correctly. Maybe even earlier, I don't rememeber what they called her in SMW. I'm guessing you're not a huge Nintendo fan? :D

Daisy came from some Gameboy game, I don't remember which. I didn't see her until Mario Party came out though.
