Super Puzzle Fighter 2 glitchy?

I just got Super Puzzle Fighter II for the GBA at my local Gamerush but its acting odd. The problem is sometimes after a match the game freezes, one time the game just went to a totally black screen also my friend said his copy shut down on him once. I checked the threads about it being a bootleg or not, but according to those threads it is a legit copy. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with the game?

It is a little glitchy. For me, the memory clears every once in a while, so I have to unlock it all again. The 2 player mode also sometimes doesn't work.

Mine does the same thing. When I beat the game for the first time it froze right when I won. It also freezes when I tried to play that Sakura song.
