My family is thinking about switching to a T-Mobile Family plan as our current carrier (Sprint) gets fairly poor reception here. I'm really interested in the G1, but I am open to suggestions. I would like the phone to have a headphone slot and a microSD(HC) card reader so I could listen to music without lugging my iPod Touch around. I'd prefer a real keyboard, which is why I'm really digging the G1.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have also been looking for a new phone. I have had my eye on the HTC Touch Pro2, a WinMo device with a large screen and a pretty sweet qwerty keyboard. It is supposed to come to T-Mobile this month. Initial reviews have been positive. One dealbreaker might be its bulk, as it is a chunky device (although solidly built).

T-Mobile is junk. Not any better than Sprint, maybe worse actually. You should go with AT&T or Verizon for best coverage. AT&T is better if you travel internationally because you can swap out SIM cards.
