Tampa Bay Area CAGs...

CAGiversary!
How about a thread for those in the Tampa Bay area. Should save looking through massive amounts of threads when you want to pick up a quick game in the Tampa Bay area.

Deals I've found

Polarium 7.48 (10 or so copies left) at the Target at Dale Mabry and 275

Meteos 7.48 (piles, more than 15 left) at the Target at Dale Mabry and Ehrlich/Bearss

What do you all think would be a good asking price for a Wii with only 30 or so hours of use, comes with controller (w/ rechargable battery/charger), nunchuck, official component cables, and Wii Play?

It pains me to get rid of it after spending 4 hours in the cold on launch day to get it, but i rarely use it (hence the 30 hours of use since November). I'm thinking of trying to sell it here or Craigslist first, then if i have no luck, ebay. I think $225 sounds good. Just wanted to see what you guys thought.
Where at?

I found my 3rd copy of FFVII for $8 at a pawn today. FFVII to me is like MvC2 is to otherguy. I guess those are our lucky games or something, wanna switch? ;)
A few months back I found two black label copies of FFVII for $5 each at the same pawn shop (the one next to the Kmart on 34th St. S. in St. Pete). Only one of them had the manual, but they were both in excellent condition other than the one missing manual. The clerk told me that he knew I was going to sell them on eBay, and that I could easily get $300 each for them. While he was wildly off on the dollar amount, he obviously knew they were valuable, so I wonder why he didn't eBay them himself?

That sounds like a decent price. You'd probably get more on eBay, but not enough to justify the hassle.

Took a trip to Lakeland today. If any of you visit there, I highly suggest going to FYE and Sears.

FYE was 50% off all their games, and they had stuff like Spider-man 3 (360) for $21, Madden 08 (Ps3) for $21, Harry Potter and Transformers for $30, and tons of $40 PSP games for $20.

Sears was 50 to 75% off on their games. I managed to get 2x DDR Mario Mix, Pokemon XD, Tiger Woods 06 (360), Rumble Roses XX, MGS3:S, Battlefield 2 (360), DKC 2 (GBA) and Da Vinci Code for $90 total.

Oh, and if any of you remember me telling you about that overpriced mom n pop store, they raised their prices to insane levels (i.e. $35 for cart-only Mario World)

I was at the Lakeland Sears yesterday, dont know how I missed the 50-75% off. The other video game store in the mall was selling Final Fantasy VII for $130(!) a copy. I am going to call them and see how much they give when trading in. I have several extra copies to unload.

Oh and one other thing I forgot to mention. TRU on Fowler is closing after the end of October. If this is anyhting like when the one on Dale Mabry closed, all games and accessories (as well as toys) will be 10% off the 1st 2 weeks, then 20 the next 2 weeks and so on until they reach 50%.

I was in there with my girlfriend, I was pointing to her the games I had that were expensive (and then she reminded me how much I payed in the first place) and I was then talking to the guy about TB-16 and Virtual Boy. If any of that sounded familiar, then yeah you probably saw me:)

My Duo-R finally came in today and it doesnt work. Anyone know a reliable place I could get it fixed at before i take it to the Game Attic? And to think of all the money I spent on games.

if it's in good condition, CML. Or did you just wanna sell?

The Hollywoods on Waters are closing. The one on Water/Armenia had crap, save for Futurama (PS2) for $18. If anyone goes to another one and finds Sniper Eilite, I'll be more than happy to buy/trade for it.

Just letting you know that the Hollywood on Water/Hanley has some good game left, as well as TONS of display boxes. I was able to pick up Stuntman Ignition (PS2), Jurassic Park Op Gen (XB), Leisure Suit Larry, and Jedi Outcast for $40. Here's what I saw left:

Jurassic Park Op Gen PS2
Futurama PS2
SW Bounty Hunter PS2
Jedi Academy Xbox
Halo 2 Xbox
PSU 360
NHL 07 360

I checked that hollywood on waters weeks ago. All crap games.

So, any word on TRU Fowler's last day? I keep meaning to drive down there, but i keep getting sidetracked with other stuff.

I wonder if the Zephyrhills location has any good stuff, didnt even know it was there. The only time ive gone to Z-hills was for Livestock, so i didnt even know there was actual businesses in the city (other than a water plant).

Does anybody near the New Port Richey area know where i can get some SNES games? I went to the oldsmar flea market and got a deal on Secert of Evermore and a wrestling game heh. it was 2 for 5 so that was a deal for me. BUT there is another place in the oldsmar flea market they want 10 dollars for one game no matter which one (unless its a rare one) So i need some Pawn shops or something around the New Port Richey area that is reasonable. I need to up my collection from 20 to 40 he he.

Just depends on where you go really. I usually just hit up random pawn shops in my area. It's hit or miss, mostly miss. I did score a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 ps2 version for 15 bucks and a FFII snes for 5 so you can get lucky.

Found a Final Fantasy VII BL (no manual) for $5 at one of the Cash Americas. Its been a while since I've found one.

Also got a Jaguar for $30 at a pawn in Orlando with Zool 2 while seeing the gf. Didn't want to pay more than $20 for one, but I havent seen one for under $50 so I bought it.

I'm on the hunt for Marvel vs Capcom 2 for xbox. What are the usual prices at pawn shops in the area? Or if one of you guys happen to have one/find an extra one, might you be interested in selling/trading?

The Cash America on Armenia got in a whole stack of PS1 games. Unfortunatly, the only good ones were Parastie Eve (GH, complete), RE Director's Cut (no manual, no demo), and Dino Crisis 2 (complete).

If anyone has an extra manual or demo for RE:DC, I'll be more than happy to buy or trade for it.
EB sells it for $60. Both the Hillsborough & Fowler ones have it. IIRC the Fowler one is complete and near mint.
Jeeze. I knew the pricetag was steep, but I didn't know it was that steep. What's the price difference on finding one in a pawn shop?
Jeeze. I knew the pricetag was steep, but I didn't know it was that steep. What's the price difference on finding one in a pawn shop?
About $50-$55
About $50-$55
Jeeze. Well alright then. Looks like this is one of those games I know I can live without
Jeeze. Well alright then. Looks like this is one of those games I know I can live without
Actually, what he meant is that its $50-55 less than what EB charges (IE most pawn shops sell it for $5-10). Its finding it at a pawn shop thats gonna be the problem. With EB is more of a convenience thing.

I have decided something. I am going to sell all of my games that I don't play and am never going to play again. I just don't have the room to keep them and I'm tired of looking at them just sitting there. I will still go around to pawn shops and stores looking at games and reporting what stores have on here, just not buying any unless I am either going to play them or flip them (them being games at pawns). The games I'm going to be selling include 70+ xbox games, 5 PS2 games, 4 GC games, 2 DS games, 4 PSP games and 2 UMDs, 5 GBA/GBC games, 11 N64 games, and a few SNES/NES/Gen/CD/32X/DC games. Some of the rare games include Jurassic Park Op Gen, Lost In BLue, ZOE2, Colosseum, and more. If any of you wanna see the list before I Ebay or post them here, PLMK. Thanks guys!

Hah, alright. Well if it's going to be that much cheaper but harder to find, then its worth it to me. I've waited this long, I can hold out longer. I just refuse to pay that much for any game.

And SegaSonic, I'd like to see that list if ya dont mind

PM ME IF YOU SEE ANYTHING. I AM NOT TRYING TO TURN THIS THREAD INTO MY SALE LIST SO AFTER THIS POST, NO PM SENTS OR ANYTHING, PLEASE.

If you don't like the price, make an offer, but I'm trying to stick close to what I can ebay them for. I might accept the offer, tho. Oh, and if anyone wants to do local pick-up, I'm down.

The EZ Pawn on Bush next to K-mart has some SNES gamesl ike Killer Instince and yoshi's Cookie for $2 each if anyone here collects SNES games. And the CA next to it has complete Megaman Legends (GH) for $3 and Darkness for $25 if anyone is interested

Oh, and about my post above, If anyone has Sonic stuff or Lord Of The Rings stuff to trade, I'll take that as well.

Has anyone seen a Jaguar Alien vs Predator or Tempest 2000 in town on any of their travels (or any Jaguar stuff for that matter)? I am also looking for 3DO stuff. I think I have about covered my uber TG-16 wants through ebay and flea markets.

I cant believe the Busch EZ Pawn has stuff as I was going to go Saturday and skipped over it because the USF game was on. Dangit, I would've bought the games too. Oh well, money saved............for now:)

many junk dealers there and i have seen jag and other games there.
stay away from under the building roof area, those guys charge way too much for anything.

hope this isnt spam, but for the past 2 days I have used this site and scored a 1600 point xbox arcade card, and now a few minutes ago 2000 wii point card.

All I did was use a new email account that I wanted spam sent to and did all of the 100% free offers, really simple, a monkey could do it. follow their instructions.!!!!

If anybody finds ANY SNES Games at a pawn shop. Please let me know! I wont mind sending some money to you and some extra dollars for your troubles as well. the Pawn's here bite ass really.

Yeah, my gf lived by there when she went to MCC. Never had a good find at that flea markter, although there are gold mines in the area. Last few times I have been there however, its been pretty dry.

I was already headed to Tampa today so I hit the EZ Pawn today, but the SNES games were already gone. I did get a Dreamcast console with two controllers, a VMU, and Sonic Adventure for $14.99 total, so it wasn't a complete loss. The bundle also included Final Fantasy IX for some bizarre reason; all four discs are there, but no manual and the case is crappy.

I Picked up Mega Man X and Crash Dummies today for 12 bucks. Still have 3 pawn shops left over for SNES games if there not all gone by now.

Let me just rant for a second here. The Pawn Shop on Router 19 in Port Richey called Cash N Go Pawn is fucking HORRIBLE. I went there today all happy. He had a TON of SNES games. So i was like PLUS! YAH! :bouncy: Start to look through them through a glass case. Killer Instinct he wanted 40 bucks for. His prices were just insane! For Shaq Fu he wanted 10 bucks. AND to make matters worse my wife goes "Can we see the SNES games" And of course his answer "Sorry but im the only person here i cant do that." Are you kidding me? Just go over there and watch me go through em. It wont take me more than 5 minutes of your time u a$$ hat! So yeah. NOBODY go there for any games. Over priced and the Owner is a A$$

Yeah, I was in there a few weeks ago. They have ridiculous prices on N64 games too. I remember common games like Excitebike 64 were something like $20-25. It's like they priced the games based on eBay values from around 1999.

I really dont understand how his business is still going. By his prices he should out of business. And with him being a jerk he lost a sale for good. There were probably a couple games i WOULDA paid over priced for but he was too lazy to go open up the glass case. So what ever. Lost my business and hopefully some of yours as well!

For those of you that wanted to come get stuff from me, tomorrow before 4 would be great if any of you can make it. On Saturday I might be force to go to Dade City for some stupid ass scarecrow thing and won't be back till around 5 or 6. Any day next week before 4 would be good to.

Finally got to play my Castlevania Rondo of Blood on Duo. For anyone who hasn't played it yet, get Dracula X Chronicles on PSP when it comes out. The game is as great as advertised and completely blows away the SNES Dracula X, which really is quite different (The graphics are like night and day). The big surprise for me of the Duo is graphics are actually really good overall, I didn't know the Duo could handle SNES/Sega CD visuals, but it does an amazing job.
