For $32.90 shipped you can have basicly the entire zodiac sd card game collection from ebuyer, including Duke Nukem, Spy Hunter, Doom 2, Tony Hawk 4, the Z-Pak Adventure, and the Z-Pak Fun. Individualy they are $4.99 each w/ free shipping w/ the exception of tonk hawk which is $7.99.

As anyone who casually follows the zodiac would already know, tapwave recently went out of business, which translates into many of the games and accessories being discontinued and clearanced.

I noticed that some people in the forums at zodiacgamer.com and tapland.com were talking about this deal as well as an in-store clearance of zodiac games and accessories at compusa b&m. YMMV

I'm not 100% sure that anyone else here on CAG even has a zoidac, I use mine
mainly for emulation purposes.

EDIT:
For some reason they are not showing up when searching for those terms like "zodiac" and "tapwave", but you can still go to the home page
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/home/
and search by these Ebuyer "Quickfind" numbers to find the games

Z-Pak: Adventure 155368
Doom II 155373

EDIT 2:
Now that the "Quickfind" numbers are not working, try these direct links...

I didn't even know it had been released. Shows how much I've been paying attention. Of course, I would only get one if they were incredibly cheap, like under $50!

The Zodiac 2 (128MB) is about $325 and the Zodiac 1 (32MB) is around $250. They can both be had cheaper on ebay. If your interested in buying one, you should probably wait and see if they will be clearanced at CompUSA or FRY's.
Just wondering, how much does a zoidac go for?
Then I must be crazy, because I searched each and every number, name of each game, "Tapwave", "Zodiac" etc. etc. Nothing is pulling these up, the deal is dead.

If anyone figures out how to check out, let me know. Everytime I try to register, it just hangs. Doesn't matter if I use the Express Registration or the Wizard.

Edit: Ok, seems to be working now.

Still nothing, and I feel really stupid, can you link me to at least one of these directly. I've tried every possible way to find these things

nothing comes up for me either.

well, I've yet to successfully check out, but I can get the games into my cart. It's not elegant, but here's what I did. I couldn't get the links above to work either.

1. Go to this Froogle search:

http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q="game+card+for+zodiac"

2. Only three of the games show up in the search, but that's okay. Click any of the three links to access Ebuyer.

3. When the Ebuyer site comes up, you'll see the following product hierarchy near the top of page:

Electronics » Gaming » Tapwave Gaming Products » Product details

4. Click the "Tapwave Gaming Products" link to access all six games.

Then you can add them to your cart. Good luck checking out. I hereby pronounce that the Ebuyer site officially sucks.

Awww what the fuck, it's working now, I just went back to the site and searched "tapwave" for the 50th time and they showed up. This site sucks ass

Just wait until you try checking out. That's where the site really shows it's sucktitude.

Well I checked out fine, but I got this message:

A preliminary verification of your order has indicated that there may be a problem with the address or card details you entered. Please review your order and check that your address and credit card details are correct. Your order will still be processed, but any mistakes may result in the order being delayed.

Considering that I buy online constantly and always double check the info I put in, this is kind of discouraging. :/

Cyberlian thank you for sharing this with us! I got a Tapwave a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it....

But this Ebuyer site is A W F U L. To have a retail website this ridiculous is absolutely inexcusable in this day and age. I had to use the "Froogle Method" to find the games on Ebuyer site. Everyone, thanks so much for your posts, they were a great help.

And CMOSFM, I got the same message you did....let's all hope these games arrive!

Here are the direct links, I don't know if/how long they will work
(If that letter/# combo in the middle is a referal, it is from froogle. I used the url from froogle, and adjusted the quickfind code on each. I couldn't get the links to work, so just try to copy and paste)

Exactly, I don't know how this website can BE so bad, it's seriously a shame. I searched for at least an hour for them, then just went back and BOOM searching "tapwave" actually worked. How the hell are you expected to find anything on that site?
So...everyone buying these....do you actually own a Zodiac? I'm sure I will get one EVENTUALLY, just don't know when.
PFFT! Not at the current price, no way!

Thing is, think about it, have you seen Zodiac games in ANY store? ANYWHERE? Not around here I haven't, so your only option to get these is online, and you're not getting any cheaper than 5.00 each shipped...so might as well buy them now and hope to get a cheap system later. :)

CompUSA and Frys are the only stores I know that ever carried the Zodiac. I plan on getting one eventually...maybe when they hit $100 or so (c'mon, clearence deals!)

Well, I finally managed to order, only to be infuriated when the site wouldn't allow me to ship the games to my work address (which is registered with my CC) when I paid with PayPal. Worse yet, it didn't tell me that until after I sent them funds via Paypal. After the transaction goes through, some text appears that basically says, "BTW, we overwrote your shipping address with your billing address, even though that's obviously not where you want us to ship this stuff."

Okay, that's not verbatim. But that's the gist. So I immediately canceled the order and wrote them a nasty message about how much their site sucks ass. That's not verbatim either, but I really did let me know how much I loathe their horrible, satanic web site. It's a monstrosity.

Well, I don't own a Zodiac, but I hope to someday, and I wanted to get these games while I still could. That said, I had to talk myself into ordering the games since I don't own the system yet. Wish I hadn't bothered. When I had trouble ordering earlier in the day, I probably should have taken that as a sign to skip it. But I persisted, and this is what I get: a headache, some lost sleep, and a bunch of wasted time. Guess I should've known better.

Ebuyer and I are quitsville. But I hope it works out for the rest of you.

Being the not-so-proud owner of a N-Gage, I just have to say something sarcastic...

I had to hear, I don't know how many times that the Zodiac was so damned great. And I made my not-so-bold prediction that the company couldn't last. Viola, I was right... take that you flamers from another board! I will make another "bold" prediction.

Gizmondo won't last very long either... gee I'm so smart. If its handheld, and it isn't made by Nintendo then its not likely to enjoy very much success.

I agree I think the PSP has legs (I hope) but anyother handheld is doomed I have thought about in Ngage becuse I like games and I need a new phone done and done... I may pick up a Zodiac when it can bee had for next to nothing but no one sells them near me so I will have to wate for a web sale...
So...everyone buying these....do you actually own a Zodiac? I'm sure I will get one EVENTUALLY, just don't know when.
I've got a zodiac 2 that I use mainly for LJZ (Little John Zodiac), which emulates TurboGrafix, Genesis, NES, SNES, GB, GBC, Neo Geo Pocket. On NES, GB, & GBC, almost all games run at full speed w/ sound. The others run fairly well w/ no sound or w/ sound on frame skip 2. The guy that made LJZ recently released LJP (the p being palm), it is supposed to work on all palm enabled devices and will ultimately replace LJZ. LJP also has game gear, and SMS support, but no TG support as of yet.

If you miss out on getting these games either online or at compusa b&m (about $7.99 ymmv), then you will have to resort to ebay to find them.

I'm glad some CAG's got to take advantage of this deal. As for everyone that hasn't got a Zod yet, just keep on the lookout at compusa b&m and FRY's b&m for clearance units that will be popping up anytime now.

On a sidenote, my local CompUSA was willing to sell me a 'demo' Zodiac 32MB edition for $200 with a 2 year warranty, I passed. Hopefully these will reach $100 or so, but even if, how many are even in curculation?

I love my zodiac; I bring mine to work everyday and use it mostly as an organizer. Its has great 8 bit emulator (purchased separately) and has a great screen and good multimedia functions. Most of its exclusive games sucked but there were several cool palm os games that were "optimized" for the zodiac. I loved Bike or Die, Sudoku and some others. Great analog controller (better than the PSP). Really though its an awesome PDA and decent handheld gaming device.

I received all 6 games today via priority mail, shipped from AZ. There was one floater (at least it was a durable sd card, not a game or dvd), but other than that, everything was perfect.

Got all 6 of mine today as well. All shrinkwrapped, no loose cards. I didn't realize these are the same exact size as N-Gage games, however they don't work in an N-Gage (Yeah, I tried, lol)

Well, I must say, even though their website navigation is horrible, I did receive my order, absolutely no problems whatsoever! Very pleased....

And Gizmogc I was definitely charged for the games...

I finally got charged 2 days ago. They are super slow on that. Now I just need to wait for the Zodiacs to drop in price.
