Finally something good out of Target. Will be able to adjust my price on American Reunion and 21 Jump Street over at Best Buy.

Blu-ray or DVD? For the same price? Interesting ....
In either case, in for 21 Jump Street. I was completely surprised at how much I enjoyed that.
@Jodou Luc Besson (Taken) is behind Lockout so I wouldn't be surprised if it kicked ass.

I know but the critics ragged on it so hard I'm not so sure. I mean, Taken and Fifth Element got good reviews and I loved both so there must be some truth to the hate for this one.

21 Jump Street and the new American Pie do that price and Blu-ray... Bargain!!!!
Tempted to blind buy Lockout. Hmm. . .
LOCKOUT is nowhere near the quality of THE FIFTH ELEMENT or TAKEN. It's worth a rental if you want a slab of dumb action, but it's nothing amazing. Of those three films, TFE is the only one that Besson directed, btw. That's the credit worth noting. He produces a TON of mediocre action films.

And I didn't want to imply that TAKEN is a mediocre action film. It rocks ass. But that's because Neeson is great, and they had a solid director. Just had to clarify that.

In conclusion, LOCKOUT is no TAKEN.

@ El Gray Good point. I wasn't trying to imply that Besson directed Taken, but I wasn't very clear. Just, generally, if his name is attached I'm more inclined to give something a shot ever since the Professional.

Also, looking at Target's ad, it appears 21 Jump Street is $15 ONLY on DVD. That displeases me ...

Well, managed to PM 21 Jump Street at Best Buy by pulling up the ad on my phone. They didn't even notice it was the DVD version pictured. Go, me I suppose.

Picked up 21 Jump Street this morning at Target. It was marked on the shelf at $19.99 but rang up at $14.99. Someone in corporate must have gotten the memo about their ad.
