The following is all jacked from jimijumper's "The Bona-Fide Target Clearance Thread XX IS NOW CLOSED!!!" thread linked below

Previous thread:

XX

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

Find In Store

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:

Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

I am starting off this new thread going back toOctober 1st, 2012 February 2013.

Fifa 13 is actually a better designed game than Fifa 14 from all of the reviews I've read.  Great price worth picking up.  I love that game.

Meant to post this earlier, sorry... but the AC IV CEs I spotted in Cool Springs (TN) have dropped to $38.98. 2 for PS3, 1 for 360. Good luck with that.

I already have the PS4 version of AC4 but it is just the normal game. I was browsing the clearance section and could not pass up AC4 Limited Edition for PS3 for $32.98.

Going to sound bizarre...but I am hoping I can find one of these ACIV CE and flip it for a regular copy of ACIV for the Wii U

Ugh, ACIV still showing $90 at the North Hollywood Target; any SoCal CAGers know of places that have 'em on clearance?

OHHHHHHHH! I hope I can find one of those. Sell my physical XB1 copy to BB for $44, sell that 360 code for $35. Free $29 and a free XB1 Ghosts, its hunting time.
Doesn't work that way. From I remember hearing it is a single code that entitles your XBL account for both versions in it, not separate codes.

My local store in upstate NY added a few things (and they hardly ever have anything decent).  Big sign below the display advertising 30% off as well.

:ps3: PS Move Essentials Bundle - 48.98

:ps3: Fifa 13 - 8.98

:360: Fifa 13 - 41.98

As a new ps3 owner, is the PS Move bundle worth it for 49 - 30%?  Is it as bad as the gen 1 kinect?  It reminds me of the wii except with obviously better graphics

If you can get that move bundle for 70% off, totally worth it just for the few rails shooters that are available (pair it up with one of the plastic gun thingys that are probably still on clearance at best buy for bonus points). Otherwise I think for many people move just collects dust.

:ds: Batman The Brave and The Bold The Videogame $9.98
:3ds: Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 $5.98
:ds: Star Wars The Force Unleashed II $9.98
:3ds: Green Lantern Rise of The Manhunters $9.98
PS Vita Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed $14.98
:ds: Sonic Colors $9.98
:ds: Spider-Man Edge of Time $9.98
:ds: Disney Princess Magical Jewels and Tangled Two Pack $7.48
:ds: Transformers Dark of the Mon Decepticons $9.98
:360: Major League Baseball 2K12 $5.98
:3ds: Monster 4X4 $20.98
PS Vita MLB 13 The Show $20.98

if you want to play the couple of good lightgun games that they have then get a move on the cheap. if not, its not worth buying.

Actually, it's pretty YMMV. I've gotten plenty of use out of my Move with exercise/dance/sports games and other Move-required games (in addition to the solid batch of on-rails shooters I have). Really depends on where your interests lie and if you have anyone else playing (I have fun playing Move games with my girlfriend and family).

I know people like to knock the Move, but I have my PS Eye plugged in pretty much all the time and use the Move regularly. $50 is a decent deal if it's something you'd use.

Saw the 2K Essentials Pack (Borderlands, BioShock, XCOM) for $20 as well as Playstation Move Starter Pack for $50. Saw some other stuff that didn't catch my eye.

Saw:
:ds: Pokemon Soul Silver $27.98
:360: Rockstat Game Collection $41.98
:360: Gunstringer $19.98
:360: Mass Effect 3 $20.98
:360: Fable: The Journey $34.98
:360: Transformers: Fall of Cybertron $41.98

Grabbed:
:ps3: MLB 11 The Show DS3 Controller AS IS for $28.xx after Red Card discount. No idea where they pulled that from.
Just bought 2 of those MLB cons for $32 a piece new from groupon a week ago! They look so cool!, Im big Dodgers fan. Got one for my bro for Christmas and one for me(my secondary con for co-op n multiplayer with friends)
Hopefully yours "as is" will last :D

Upstate NY, like Albany upstate?

fuck to the yeah! 1 copy of PS3 AC IV LE in the cabinet... No clearance sticker at all. Checked the DCPI on the scanner... 32.98. God, I love this site.
Is it only the PS3 version people are finding for 32.98? Mine has it for the 360, but checking on the scanner comes up 90.98. :(

360 version in this store I'm in DCPI 207 22 0987 - 90.98

PS3 version 207 24 0987 - 76.98

And that is right on the price checker... FWIW

This is a more affluent Target than the other I found my PS3 version in.

Edit: went back tithe Target where I got the PS3 version and BOTH 360 and PS3 come up on the stock checker at 38.98... Even though my PS3 copy rang at 32.98... So it looks like the 360 DID drop in some stores, as well as the PS3 version...

Not bizarre at all. I'm probably going to take the PS3 version to GS and burn 5000 PUR points and get the 50% coupon to get the 360 version and just keep the extras...

Renton, WA location.

Was looking for games on clearance yesterday (couldn't find anything good), but I found this instead for $145 (after 20% off coupon and 5% off from Red Card):

Downtown LA Target has the COD Ghost editions on sale:

Prestige edition

$99 PS3
139 Xbox 360

Hardened edition
$83 on Xbox 360
$60 on PS3

A big stack of other games are available.

WiiU edition of last year's Skylanders starter pack is around $18.

Well shit.    One Target in the area has them showing in stock, but the DCPI is showing a $0.00 price, meaning they were already salvaged and unsaleable.

How accurate is the online stock checker? I have a Target showing it in stock as well. I stopped by on my way over to work, but they couldn't seem to find it. I'm tempted to call the store now that I have the DCPI number in-hand and ask an associate to look it up for me.

From my experience last year checking it was pretty accurate, I got the last item in stock and checked the online inventory out of boredom and it showed within a day to be out of stock at the store.

I saw a Bioshock XB360 double pack for $19, saw NBA 2K13 for $11.98 and another set that I can't remember....but the lowest game there was the NBA game.

I walked back over the my Target and the PS3 version is at 76.xx.  Maybe next week...

I just want it for the swag anyhow (That I really don't even need), since I already have the game for the X1.

The weird thing is this Target got in the AC3 ltd edition VERY late, like a few months ago, and it never saw a markdown that I saw. They just weren't there one day. This one just showed up sometime between Monday and last night, and was 70% off.

Well shit. One Target in the area has them showing in stock, but the DCPI is showing a $0.00 price, meaning they were already salvaged and unsaleable.
It's not supposed to be done per company policy, but I know that when I worked for Target, executives/managers were sometimes willing to bend the rules to get the sale from you. I remember many times that I would have salvaged cameras (among other things) that I would end up selling to customers under direction from my manager. They usually went for the last clearance price so it's not like you're getting a better deal than you would (thus it's not worth waiting until an item gets salvaged just for a better price), but still, I don't think it necessarily hurts to ask if the camera could still be sold.

saw project x zone limited edition for 20.98
Yeah, I saw the limited edition also when Target had the buy 2 get 1 previously. I picked it up then, as most other stores only carry the standard version now. I only saw the LE at one Target, so now I know other Targets are still carrying it.

Saw a bunch of DS games for $9.98 today.  Nothing really exciting there.

Also saw a few things other people mentioned: PS3 2K Essentials pack (Bioshock, Borderlands, XCOM) for $20.98, FIFA 13 for WiiU for $17.98, and Call of Duty Ghosts downloads for 360 and XB1 (I think this was $56.98).  In addtion, saw Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition and WWE 13 on 360 for $13.98 and $27.98 respectively.

Did pick up a ThinkGeeK Minecraft magnet set for $2.98.

Maybe a bit off topic, but Towson, MD had 3 of those cameras in stock when checking the DCPI in store, but none on the shelf. They said their numbers were wrong in the system and if it wasn't on the shelf, they didn't have it. Anyone run into this before?
