The following is all jacked from jimijumper's "The Bona-Fide Target Clearance Thread XX IS NOW CLOSED!!!" thread linked below

Previous thread:

XX

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

Find In Store

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:

Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

I am starting off this new thread going back toOctober 1st, 2012 February 2013.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

if you are referring to the LOU bundle from a page back that says online item then yes its in the system. that person just got it for that price because someone purchased it online and returned it in store. they usually give a big discount when online items are returned. If something is discontinued it stays in the system and can be sitting in the back room. just because something is discontinued doesnt mean they dont have it, it just means they wont be carrying it anymore. That bundle was a black friday bundle and i know at my store we still have like 30 in our back room discontinued.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I called my nearest target and they said a Target store 40 min. away had 2 Last Of Us PS3 bundles. I called and the rep confirmed that is was in their system but after 2 people "checked" their back room they said they couldn't find them and said that they don't know where they are IF they are there at all. I'm looking to see what the integrity of Target's inventory system is like and how accurate it may be, because if it's accurate I'll make the trip down and search the store and back room myself. Ha ha!

Does your back room LOU PS3 bundles have the $175 discount? I was nervous because they didn't even have a price for the 2 left in their inventory. Would be a nasty surprise to find them still at the $250 price point.

Wish I could find some of those adventure packs for the original Sklyanders discounted at some local store. Only see them now online at regular or inflated prices.
They had 1 Dragon's Peak and 1 Empire of Ice here. I wonder if they had a Darklight Crypt too and I missed it.

Other than that just Sleeping Dogs :360: and a Wii U chat headset.

Off topic but I thought it was pretty funny that Target had this huge Bravely Default promo cardboard thing but they didn't bother stocking the game. So they took it down, heh.

seeing as ive worked there for awhile the inventory system is just garbage so its not that they didnt check its just when people pull things from the backroom sometimes they dont subtract it so it still shows 2. when inventory is lost depending on how efficient the in stocks team is it might stay that way for awhile. im just telling you it sucks lol so sometimes they literally cant find it because its happened to me multiple times this week alone

Thanks for the insight. I may let this one go then as it appears that they really couldn't find them.

Yeah, it's a waste of time. Anytime I see something listed on the site as limited availability, I don't bother going anymore, since I've never been able to find the item in the past.

I saw a metric fuck ton of cameras and lenses on clearance at one of my local stores. Shouldn't be hard to wait for some of these to hit at least 50%.

Picked up a Skyward Sword today for $19.99 at the Lauderhill (Florida) Target. As I was checking out some guy came in and asked for the rest of them. There were 9 left. Do these even re-sell that much? lol.
MSRP is still $50, GS sells them used for $50, & stores are reducing how many Wii games they have in stock so supply is starting to dry up.

Thank you for the heads up! I picked up the last one this morning. Couldn't pass up a 250gb PS3 for $123 after red card and some gift cards I had.
Yep. I'm surprised that it lasted this long.

Yep. I'm hoping to find a store that ends up marking one down past 50%

Found Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge for the WiiU at 80% off for $9.04 (207-30-0681)
Those have been holding strong at $17.48 for MONTHS at a store near me and I'd been waiting for the price to drop some more. Yesterday, I asked them to scan it with the PDA to verify and it came up as item not found. They said that the games locked in the cases tend to be overlooked and it should have been sent to salvage a while ago. At least, they still let me buy it at $17.48 because that was what it was marked.

No games at mine, but I did find a Lego Galaxy Squad set marked down from $100 to 30... Don't usually see Legos go down to 70% off.

My store finally dropped the quick charging station for the 360 to 50% off. I posted the item number a few pages back. I think it now sells for around 12.50 after markdown. One other to mention. My store has them hanging from the same area as regularly priced xbox 1 and 360 accessories. Not sure if the same applies to the other targets.

Saw a Vita Starter Kit and a DS XL Starter Kit or something like $21 and $18, respectively.  Also saw 3DS cradle/chargers for $13 and PS3 usb controller cords for $5.

Also saw Skylanders Giants Portal Owners on 3DS for $35.

Did pick up two New Super Mario Bros. 2 guides at $0.96 each.

Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Four High Performance Xbox One Gaming Headset $29.98 (207-00-0530)

Yep that's right, already 70% off and on the shelf before the official release date of Friday March 7.

Do you know if your store updates electronics clearance on Mondays or Fridays?

I happened to come upon these while at my Local target today:

Nintendo DS

Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader: Back To School - $2.56

Style Lab: Fashion Designer - $3.26

Silly Bandz - $3.26

Only ones they had so decided to pick 'em up, can probably trade or resell. They also had some others up by the electronics cashier, I saw Namco Museum DS most notably and I assumed it was on clearance because my Target no longer truly stocks DS games, just in those pack ins with DVD's and the ones that are marked 10 and 15 dollars and the fact that that game is so old for Target still carrying it.

Employee said they were full price, even though they were in a special cart by the electronics desk. They're probably going to mark them down soon.

I saw a whole bunch of electronics accessories hit clearance yesterday.  Looks like they may be getting ready to reset the department.  I saw flash drives, tons of cell phone accessories including Lightning cables, TomTom GPS accessories, batteries, a DS charge cradle, a Vita accessory bundle, and a ton of other misc items all freshly marked down.  Quite the variety and worth checking out.

SDer's reported several times today that they got a "can't be sold before 3/8" error message when attempting to checkout. This was not the case last night.

So on the 8th it will be up for sale at $30 or is this just a mistake on some staff so they mark it down?

Most likely will go back to $100 on the 8th so best chance might be to try and get it now.

Yeah looked it up on the pda it is on clearance for 29.xx. there is no store in my city that has them in stock though0pp
If it's not on the floor yet then it might say 0 stock as they haven't technically been scanned in.

The same way a clearance item is taken from stock if it's not scanned in a certain number of weeks

I tried to get the TB XO Four headphones and they would not sell them to me.  I believe they are marked in the system as DO NOT SELL until March 8th.  The clearance price seemed nationwide though.  I'm assuming that Target will fix the glitch on the 8th when they can sell them.

I was denied at TWO Targets.  First one said they had 2 on hand, but would not check the back stating that they were on clearance.  The other store had a MEMO stating not to sell until the 8th.  So I'm assuming they caught the glitch.

Yea I found some yesterday to and tried getting a set for myself they unlocked it from the shelf and tried ringing me up and the computer popped up error message do not sell and the street date the system wouldn't even allow them to attempt a over ride

when something is street dated at target on the computer there is no way to override it so we all just gotta hope they dont fix the price by saturday.

NASCAR 14 PS3 34.98 @ 30% off. was in the case locked up.

Picked up a COD Ghost Can Coozie for a whole penny. Also saw GOW Ascension in the used section, which evoked a Peoples Eyebrow from myself.

Stores got an urgent news to fix the price mistake in their pdas. Looks like its going back to normal
I wonder if they can figure out who the person was who made the blatant pricing mistake and released the item early, and whether said person gets reprimanded or not.

Probably not. The same thing used to happen with their exclusive star wars figures and nothing was ever done about it. I did tell them the mistake because I felt a little guilty, but they just shrugged and asked if I wanted more than I had already purchased.

Eh I'm still on my way to target anyways maybe I'll get lucky on the headset. I'm not to hopeful now tho. I'll post if I get one @ the clearanced price

Bad news. A. The system still won't let them sell it. The system now show March 8th as the release date. He also said that the reason it got delayed was cuz of the new update. On top of that he checked the price and it's $99.99. So no go

Anyone's stores still have those Xbox One headsets marked at $40? Would head out early tomorrow if they still haven't fixed the mistake, I know MSN says the employee checked the price but I feel if they still have the sticker on the display it could be argued.

FYI I did check a second store and had the same problem. System said tomorrow as the date and was priced at $100. I used the DCI on here.

I found Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus for the Vita for 19.99.  It's not a clearance price since it ends in 9, so this should be the universal price now, assuming the store still has the item in stock.
