If this was posted already I apologize but I didn't find it in the search. This could also just be the universal price but Atari has yet to announce anything as far as I know. The PC version is $39.99

The first game was a lot of fun and if Amazon has a gift card attached to the game then its an even better deal.

The original launched at $39.99, so they're probably pricing it lower than most modern MSRP so it can garner some attention.

Loved the first game. All they have to do is tighten up the controls, modernize the graphics a bit, and I'll be in for the sequel. Even so, I don't see why anyone would preorder this without some kind of promotion.
Well... you overpaid then, since Atari set the MSRP for the original at $39.99.

From 1up in 2006:

Atari Prices Test Drive 360 at $39.99
Hmm I completely forgot about that...

If Amazon lowers the price then you get the lowest price. If Atari decides to make it $59.99 then you get it for $49.99. There are plenty of reasons

lol

TDU was awesome, I'm really looking forward to TDU2.

REALLY!? I haven't heard about it until now why? I was the first person in the world to reach Ace Rank on the first one. I literally lived and breathed that game.

Wow, you deserve a cookie my friend.

I myself got most of all the achievements except for the club racing ones, and that damn achievement where you have to complete all the escort, delivery, etc. missions. Those escorting missions were a friggin' pain especially the ones where you had to drive for 15-20+ straight minutes and were TIMED. Outside of that the first game was great and seemed to handle better after the few patches it had. There was just so much to do in TDU, and It's by far my favorite new racing game out this gen. Forza 3 still beats It in the graphics, handling and realism department but TDU is a different beast of a racer that has nothing to compete with as a Massive Online Racer (MOR, or whatever it said on the box.).

Just checked the achievement, yeah - Successfully complete ALL the missions (Top-Model, Hitchhiker, Vehicle Transport or Courier). I'll never get that done. The other multiplayer ones I could probably do with some playing before TDU2 came out or some boosting if I'm real desperate.

Anyways maybe we'll get lucky and they'll drop it again to $40 or throw in a $10 gaming credit in the near future.

Wow, I assumed they would let this franchise die since Atari said they were concentrating on DLC games. I was not particularly exited about any big budget AAA game this year but this one gets me gitty as a school girl. BTW, I got 970/1000 nerd point on this one, alot of blood sweat and tears, but mostly sweat. lol

I agree the physics for the cars were pretty crappy, but there were worse racers. The game itself was great. I loved just driving around and checking out the sites. It's like I was really on Hawaii.
I heard for the 2nd one they're really upping the MMO experience even letting you hang by the pool with others online when you don't want to race.. so I can hang with you guys by the pool at my house that I bought, then we can all go driving for hours together..
Yeah, that sounds pretty damn cool to me.

Yes the game was good. I had an absolute blast with the game and I hadn't had as much fun as I did since Cat and Mouse on PGR2

Speaking of which...I accidentally deleted my 100% save file but if anyone wants to play, Ill play since I still own the game. I can even show you the secret island if you haven't found it yet.
