I noticed that this thread has been dead for a while so I contacted the author and she agreed to let me take over...so we are starting a minty fresh, brand-spanking-new Toys R Us clearance game thread....

I have put the last 2 entries under spoilers so we wouldn't lose that data but most of it is pretty old...I will probably delete the stuff that goes back to early 2010 as it is really irrelevant....so we are gonna start small here....I have a few updates to post from my ventures out today..

I would like to keep this thread in the spirit of the Target Clearance Game thread so I will be setting it up like that...

Welcome to the Toys R Us clearance thread! Like all stores, Toys R Us also has clearance games-- and they often drop numerous times, such as going down to 19.98, 9.98, 5.00, and even as low as 3.00. There doesn't appear to be a set rhythm to when these drops occur, or how many of them will occur. Also, be aware that the games may not have their prices correctly marked-- generally, all TRUs will have the same pricing (there will always be exceptions) so do not let the price tag dissaude you from at least checking to see if it's at the price that it's been reported here.

For the most part, prices are universal! Though there will always be exceptions...

not entirely sure. I think it's the greatest hits version? I remember seeing a glimpse of the 'move compatible' sticker thing in the corner of the cover. the guy carried it to the register so I didn't get to inspect the case.

Also, I think I need to suck it up tomorrow and just drive back to the nearest TRU where I found the stuff the other day. There was a cart back behind the electronics register that had some titles that looked like they were freshly marked down (that's where I eagle-eyed the CoD: War Collection at the bottom of the pile); they should be on the shelf by now. I know that I saw some shovelware-ish Kinect titles in there for around $15-20, and some other stuff.

They better have some good stuff tomorrow, though, because I will have my son in tow with me, and I know that a trip to TRU will inevitably result in a toy purchase, as well. ;)

What would be really nice after Easter would be one of those 30-40% off clearance game sales in conjunction with some of these tasty drops.:drool:
 
Picked up the last 2 Assassin's Creed Brotherhoods for $9.98 each at my local TRU.
One for me and one for a friend.

Perfect for my son's birthday tomorrow.

Just picked up Valkyria Chronicles for $9.98. Not really familiar with the game but I've heard good things!

I also picked up a 360 12 Month Messenger Gold Pack (12 month XBL, PGR4, chatpd, headset) for $35.98. It was thw last one in my store. Worth it just for the 12 month card I think!

Good haul overall, thanks for the heads up guys.
 
Got the last AC:B CE from TRU in Murfreesboro, TN
They had no more SR3 but said they'd had quite a few calls about it

Didn't see any other noteworthy clearances

Saw the 360 version of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. No PS3 version. No Saint's Row the Third Headphone set. No Call of Duty War pack.

Guess just not for me. Got Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 and 2 for $15 a piece.

Picked up the only copy of Assassin's Creed the North Little Rock, AR store had. I also grabbed one of the PS Eye TV mounts for $1.50 and :ps3: Final Fantasy XIII for $9.98. I was hoping to get Valkyria Chronicles too, but it sold out since January.

Whats PGR4? I scanned the messenger pack with 400 MS points and it rang up $75 for me.

Appears I missed out on this one... Saints Row Plat and Gears Limited for $10 are steals. Hopefully more to come!

I don't think this has been said but while looking for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood with no luck I did find several copies of Trauma Team and Tatsunoko vs Capcom clearanced at $10.

More so I just remember seeing it at that price at mine since around November or October and I only remember because I was debating if that was the buy price or not and then Best Buy $5 sale came along on it.
 
Does TRU still do the percentage off clearance sales? I saw a few games today that I wouldn't mind getting but not for the standard clearance prices of $10-$20.

Yeah. I didn't see it myself, but the employee was removing the shelf tag from the empty spot in the case where they must've been. He was the one that mentioned it. It does kind of make me wonder if OTHER CE/LE/SE games went to $10 now.
 
My TRU has the following clearance items (someone mentioned the PS3 a few up)...not great prices but if they do an additional percentage off, etc.

I didn't price check any of these to clarify if they have dropped lower, but this particular store is pretty good about keeping up to date.

Thanks for the heads up Prim444 no CE, LE etc crazyness at my store but I ended up finding some stuff marked 9.98 at my store and ended up getting 4 games for 9.98.

It may also be worth checking Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds & One of the Dragon Age games on PS3 (I'm pretty sure it was origins). My store was OOS but had a spot for both marked clearance so I'm thinking they could have been 9.98.

It must be Origins. Dragon Age 2 rang up for $19.99 when I scanned it today.

Saw a bunch of Valkyria Chronicles and Vanquish, besides some others @$10 price point. Went to see if I could get Ass or Saints CEs' but alas both of the TRUs' I went had none for the PS3 :cry:

I did not buy Valkyria Chronicles because based on the gameplay it does not look like a game I personally would enjoy on the PS3. If anyone has either Ass or Saints CEs and would like to do a trade for Valkyria Chronicles or Vanquish I could go tomorrow and get the one you want.

I did buy Pacman & Blue Ghost of Pacman buckle with arm sweatband each pair for $1. Bought some wii ankle weight from biggest loser for $1.5, the wii part is removable so perfect for my martial arts training.

I forgot to mention I also saved the closer TRU tonight from possibly losing $100 worth of games by checking out both their clearance bin and the $19.99 and under rack in the gaming/electronics section.

Apparently someone there doesn't know a newer game from an older game and had a copy of Uncharted 3 sitting out in the clearance bin and a copy of Fallout New Vegas Complete(or whatever it's called) sitting on the $19.99 shelf.

I pointed out both to the guy in the section and he in turn alerted another higher up. I guess somebody is gonna get a stern talking to tomorrow regarding those oopsies.
