I was curious if anyone has seen the movie yet and what your reviews were or if you are intending on seeing the movie. I just saw the first showing this morning at the theater and the movie was really good. If you weren't a fan of the previous Bourne movies, nothing here should change your mind, but if you are a fan, you should be satisfied.

I'm going to see it on either Saturday or Sunday. I really liked the first 2. I'm glad to hear that this one is good too.

Ive been waiting to see this one too. Its funny really, since the first bourne i have been telling everyone "man it would be better if the show was based in the United states". Dont get me wrong i loved the movie and its sequel, i just thought it would be even better. The reviews i have heard so far have said this is the best one yet. I may wait a week to watch to let the crowd dwindle down :)

I will probably go see it next weekend. I love the first two movies and it seems to be a consensus that this one is the best of the trilogy. Matt Damon is my favorite actor and I'm glad that he got to star in a trilogy that can show off some of his acting skills but also be exciting and critically acclaimed.

The movie was fuckING AMAZING. The ending was perfect, it was as good as the departed wrap up. They leave you in a good spot. I thought it was by far the best and most intense bourne.

Yeah, I'll agree that it might be the best of the three. Well-paced, with tons of clever call-backs to previous films, including
a brilliant bit of sleight of hand that actually sets the first two-thirds of the third movie BEFORE the end of the second
, a great scene in a train station, and a fight that almost rivals the scene in the first (and tops the second one, for sure).

Good stuff.

I love the combat, and the fighting style. The scene were he killed the assassin in tangire was great. I thought it was so bad ass that they showed him jump through window after window. The ending was perfect too on the way his body fell into the ocean. If universal doesn't release on blu ray i might have to get a hd dvd add on for my 360 and but the bourne set.

was good, but I still think the second was the best... at least actionwise... Then again, I wanted more car chase scenes like the first two. Overall a good way to tie things up.

I guess I am the only person that was really dissapointed.
The main problem I have with the whole series is that it all seems to ramp up to what ends up to be nothing. I suppose I expected too much. With all the CIA stuff and cool names like Tread Stone and Black Briar I was thinking they were really cool. Nope, the whole secret thing was that he was dunked in some water. So the end just says that he chose to be agent and that it was his fault? I thought that that was implied. I was thinking that maybe he was part of omse supersecret operation etc. Nope, just a regular assassin who was dunked in some water.

I just the second one the day before and what annoyed me was
that the ending of the second one is like 3/4 into the movie. It just seems like the whole first half is realy just nothing. If you take the last 20 minutes and tack it on to the second movie you would feel dissapointed. And that is how I see it, they do a flashack sorta thing then they come back into the story waaay later.

And the ending
He falls in the water? That is okay, but it is not a conclusion. Oh, and I cringed it when the smiled and the some retarded remix of "Extreme Ways" started playing.

I did not really like the first one but when I saw the second I liked it quite a bit, apart from the terrible Russian speakers. The third started well and was good in it's own right but as a conclusion to a series I think it utterly failed. The action is excellent though.

Also, Matt Damon needs to find a way to keep both eyes open at the same level.

I don't think the ending really came together for you, as in you didn't fully get it.

For example, his mind was muddled, I don't think he dunked into water, the man he shot was (thus the exact outfit and hood being on him when he was dead). The "resitence to training" Pam saw was likely the fact that it took him so long to kill him without any reason. The whole point was that despite all that he was made to do could still make the choice not to taek a life. Also, it didn't end when she smiled, you clearly saw him swimming for it after that in the water. What you regard as a "tack on" was what most would call good filmmaking, they tied it together without you even thinking of it and gave a more than plausible explanation of why he took that trip to America and the end of the 2nd film. People interpret differetnly, but for some reason seems as though I got alot more out of it than you did.

I thought it was the best Bourne. And Dtrarasev, that "lame" remix of Extreme Ways has been in every single ending of the Bourne films.

Really? I recalled the actual song being there in the first one and I guess I somehow completely missed it when I saw the second.

Being russian myself I thought the russian in the second was pretty good, hell Eomir and Damon did well considering that they aren't russian.

Wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as I was hoping. I wasn't a fan of the jumpy camera during the action sequences. Part of my problem is probably that I never caught the 2nd film in the trilogy.

The stuff at the very beginning that was rehashing the first films (I assume that's what it was doing) was pretty boring for me. Some of the action sequences were very cool, especially the stuff with Desh.

Actually it wasn't a rehash of anything (save for two flashbacks), it was actually tieing the second film (and the first sort of) to this one. Something that you obviously didn't know of not watching the second one. You can't blame the movie for being boring to you if you skipped out on the prequel.

I think I just did though. *shrug*

I saw this last night and loved it. I went back and watched the first two Bourne's before this and was glad it tied almost everything together.

They should have cleared up
When he was at the dinner with Niki and she said something that might have inferred they were together of something, and he said he really didn't remember everything.

But I'm satisfied if they never make another Bourne movie.

Woo, I am too!

Damon was okay for most of the lines but for one or two lines that he said in the third I had to look at the subtitles. But "Eomir" he was awful. He was supposed to be a native Russion and should have spoken better then Bourne but Bourne was understandable and had good pronunciation unlike him.

But since the movie is directed toward American audiences it really does not matter. It just irks me that some people in the movie industry are lazy.

Saw it Saturday. I really really liked it. Though I was actually really really pissed off....like legitimately mad during the first 5 minutes or so.

For those who have seen Supremacy, the shaky cam bullshit is ridiculous. Detracted a lot from the film I think. And during the first 5 minutes of Ultimatum, it was pretty prevalent. I just sat there and whispered to my friend "Not this fucking shit again...I hate Paul Greengrass."

Luckily this time around, the shaky cam is alot more controlled so you can actually see WTF is happening.

8.5/10.

Just got back from seeing it. I loved the first two movies and felt a bit let down by this one. I was surprised that Nikki and Bourne's past wasn't developed more (has there ever been a more underused character in a trilogy than Nikki?), and the rest of the plot seemed too redundant and tossed together.

Thankfully the action scenes made up for these shortcomings. All in all I'd put it third behind Identity and Supremacy (in that order).

Saw it last night and liked. Great action scenes and entertaining.

I would recommend (re)watching the second one first though. I wish I had - the third just continues right from the end of the second.

saw it earlier and thought it was the best in the trilogy. the motorcycle chase/roof jumping/fight sequence and the car chase scenes were EPIC. some of the best action i've seen in a movie in quite some time.

The movie has good fight scenes the pace is great compared to the other borne movies that have slow parts.

BUT this is probly gonna be the most over rated movie of the summer people saying its better than casino royale are matt damon fans.
Other than the action what this movie has as far is acting is pretty weak.
'me borne me looking for same people over n over again arrr me hungry for ticket sales give me more borne movie again'

These movies kinda remind me of 24 the tv show exept these movies take place over days instead of a 24 hour period.

Still like I said great fight/action scenes...but if you have seen transporter movies or any american jet li movie over the past few years your not getting nothing new its only those that probly dont watch those movies that are 'amazed'.

The nikki charactor is all dragged out like they plan on making 100 of these movies blahhh. The next one shes probly gonna stare at borne and not say anything again and somehow thats gonna keep people oh so amazed in there seats! oh my she looked at him!

My wife and I just got back from watching the movie. It was great and rivals any spy type movie out there. Jason Bourne is like the American James Bond, but a lot better.

What is their history? I haven't read the novels, so I assume they were romantically involved before he lost his memory. Overall, I thought the movie was great.
