Bundle Stars offers PC game bundles at a relatively fixed price for a "limited time".

Prices may vary a little depending on current exchange rates.

Steam, Desura, GG, etc. keys are provided for most of the games.

Bundle Stars also has their own store selling Steam games.

List of all current bundles

Bundles seem to be randomly revived after they expire for shorter periods of time, so if you don't see a bundle listed here you may still want to check the current bundle listing link above.

Yeah, yesterday was the first time I was afraid I might actually get in serious trouble at work for reading CAG on my phone. A bunch of text is one thing, pictures of half-naked ladies is another...especially when you work with children...
There's an easy solution to that: Don't check CAG on your phone at wor...

er... I mean... Don't work with children.

It's reached that point that even I am considering using the ignore feature... and I hate the ignore feature.
Same, except a good couple of months ago, but as Motoki points out, all the quoting and the big white bar really don't help things.

To be fair, it never really was the pictures that drove me to figure out the ignore thing. It's that trying to parse the text in those posts gives me a headache.

Man, I still haven't even got rid of my The Ship gifts from the first FPS Bundle.

Now I have to decide whether I care enough about Hard Reset to buy a bunch of games I already own.

It's been bundled so many times, you'll be able to find it cheaper in the trade thread for sure.

At first glance, this was an insta-buy. I love stuff like this and I only have Lunar Flight.

Turns out that may be the best game in the bundle if you can believe user reviews.

Bridge It and Ship Sim Extremes do get some praise, so I.... may... be in for those two. But the others just got savaged. Anyone here try these?

How could Woodcutter Simulation ever be bad? I say go for it :D

I know, I know. But the user reviews are killing it. Here's one of the top positive reviews:

So I walked for two hours to get my van, then I drove for an hour to get to the forest to cut down a tree. I watched as the tree fell, a single tear went down my face. I looked at my mission log, and there was a new mission. I then realized I had to cut down another tree that was 2 hours away. I got in my van and began to drive. It was then that I made the decision to drive 70mph into a building. Because only death could save me from this wooded hell.

Updated OP for new Extreme Sims bundle, bundle price changes, etc.

I noticed that they've upped the price on a few bundles - BundleStars must be doing pretty well...

I really can't stand them personally. They are the sloppy seconds of the bundle world. I mean all the bundles have repeats at times but it seems that Bundle Stars is always guaranteed to be at least half repeated crap at an given time. A bunch of us bitch about it to the Bundle Stars Rep on Reddit but they never change.

Or maybe Wood Cutter Simulator is the result of bundle regulars constantly whining about all the repeats they do. 'But we premiered Wood Cutter Simulator in a bundle!'

I know I have a bit of a problem when I consider all Desura bundles and mostly mobile bundles with games about dogs farting to be better than Bundle Stars. I don't know, their constant stream of repeats just offends my hoarding sensibilities. :p

I own 2 of the games from this new sim bundle, and I'll still most likely get this. Airport Simulator and Woodcutter Simulator were just released on Steam on 12/19...for $15 each. For $4, I'm not really sure how you can go wrong here. Buying it just for one game would ALMOST be worth it.

most of their bundles contain repeats, but usually they're old repeats, stuff that a lot of people may have missed. And even then, they're often decent games for a decent price.

To be honest I feel like Bundle Stars is pretty good. They have bundles which are all repeats (the current paradox bundle), but I don't think they are targetting the bundle buyers with those.

The other ones that they do have, like the Outer Limits Bundle, are pretty good. There's a few exclusive games in there, and Blades of Time was well worth the $4 alone. (Brutal Bundle is good too, and Quickfire, and some more)

I guess I have differing opinions of what is decent because I feel like lately they've just been having oddball simulators and stuff from low tier Euro publishers like Paradox and Topware.

I mean don't get me wrong, I buy tons of crap games like any other digital game hoarder would, I just struggle to consider most of the stuff they are offering great but I'm sure someone somewhere out there likes it (non ironically even). *shrug*

But yeah it's probably right that they aren't targeting long term bundle buyers who tend to get every bundle.

I actually like them a lot too. They do have a lot of bundles made up of mostly repeats, but I like them having all Steam keys and the number of games in the bundles. And obviously, I like them dedicating entire bundles to sims. Running the bundles for a month doesn't hurt either.

Just to head off some potential huge ass shitstorm here, because the internet, I'm actually being partially facetious here.

I do kind of get annoyed in an OCD I don't have that game, but OMG I already have most of the games in that bundle, but gotta catchem all for the one I don't have, but the waste think of the poor bundless children etc sort of way. However I realize the First World Problemzy ridiculousness of it all.

If someone likes Bundlestars that's okay because I'm okay, you're okay. Kumbaya my lord, kumbaya.

fuck Bundle Stars.

fuck simulators.

PS - After much bitching, I just bought the latest bundle stars bundle

I still think Bundlestars (mostly) sucks

It's still okay if you don't

Now excuse me while I go cut some virtual wood

Good luck.

I have a feeling I'd want to put my own arms in a wood-chipper after experiencing this. Yep, I know I'm the 7536th person to link this in this forum, but I think it's appropriate when Woodcutter Simulator (GOLD!) turns up in a bundle.

heh that is a fantastic review. The only problem is now I'm even curiouser about the game, but I'll wait for it to be in a Humble Weekly.

Skyscraper simulator blows.

Spent about 45 minutes trying to get it to run, then gave up on playing after about 15 minutes.  I probably shouldn't have expected "fun" from this, but what I experienced was insanely dull.  With most of the Simulator games, you're actually doing something.  With this one, you just click buttons and wait for stuff to happen.  Technically, I guess most games follow that formula, but Skyscraper is heavy on the wait portion.

Here's the game:

  1. Purchase land
  2. Pick assorted options for your Skyscraper (basically height and occupancy, no cosmetics or design)
  3. Buy equipment
  4. Wait for equipment to arrive
  5. Watch equipment dig hole
  6. Realize there's nothing else to do

Supposedly, after completing the hole digging, you either sell your hole digging equipment or send it to a different work location (but for fuck 's sake who is going to build TWO skyscrapers), and then buy Foundation Making equipment.  Then you wait until that's done and sell/buy Structure Structuring equipment.  I'm assuming by this point, everyone will have gone to the forums to post "WHAT THE fuck IS THE POINT OF THIS" only to see the forum is already filled with irate people who have been trying to puzzle out the answer for years.

First time I have ever gotten Simulator rage.

You are playing it wrong. You ARE the skyscraper.

Or maybe they wrote the name wrong, and the real one is skycraper simulator ;)

Apparently Bundle Stars is giving out 25,000 free keys for Pid. The site seems to be down right now, which is strange since I can't imagine there's more than 10 people who don't have Pid by now. Probably nuked by key harvesters...

First time I have ever gotten Simulator rage.
Honestly, I stayed away from this because I had the high-profile stuff from standalone purchases/previous bundles and the "new" items (i.e., the last four "x Simulator" titles) have horrendous reviews. If you read the Steam reviews for all four games, they're universally reviled. Not a good sign.

I got all excited about this bundle until I saw that there were no Sims games (from EA) included.

Tired of farm simulator after farm simulator in these bundles. Picked it up for Ship Simulator though. Strangely, I have had that in my wish list for a while so the price was worth it.

I've had it for ages and I think it kind of sucks honestly. Visuals are crude and the gameplay dry and, hmm, odd. Plus it makes you create another account and login or some nonsense.

I don't know, I wasn't impressed. Maybe Fox was? I think he has it too, before this bundle I mean.

I wasn't that impressed either to be honest. I mean I thought some of the water effects were decent and it has better graphics than most sims, but that's not saying much. I did some Greenpeace missions and it's pretty bland for what were likely the most exciting missions in the game. I mean it takes forever to even get to the other boats and when you do there's nothing to do. I had to stop some illegal chemical dumping into the ocean, but it just amounted to spending like 10 minutes driving to the boat that was illegally dumping, dispatching my speedboat, getting close to the other boat to cue the cutscene, and then driving the speedboat back to the big boat, then driving the big boat back to the dock.

Hm. Sounds to me like they should have made the whole thing a Greenpeace simulator and given you the opportunity to ram whalers, dodge gunfire and maybe board illegal fishing vessels and do some stealth sabotage or something. Then I guess it wouldn't be a Euro-sim, though.
