The definitive sony card rewards thread - a good start to a free game or controller
If it makes you guys feel better...I lost 11,000 points when my card changed over from cictbank to chase. Every time I call SONY they tell me it is being investigated. It has been going on since 2005.
Damn that sucks
Per Month: 985 + 800 = 1785 pts (guaranteed if played daily)
Per Year: 1785 x 12 = 21,420 pts ($214.20!!!)
I got the PlayStation credit card a month ago and followed this thread. In the end, I paid $30 (tax :( ) for a new PS3 slim and now I've enough points to get a LBP GOTY. :D

I think most of us know about it. Those extra Jeopardy points have made redemption ridiculously easier. I've accumulated like 5 $10 PSN Cards over the past 2 months and am going for my 6th this week. :hot:

Thanks OP, I've had this thread bookmarked for a while and got around to doing this last night. (New PS3 keeping me busy)

Looks like I have to be a card member to get those $10 PSN cards.

I still play those sony games, but there's no way I can accumulate 50.000 points in 2 months.

unless you do somethin else, because there a maximum of how many blurays you can registered and sony accesories. after that you can't accumulate points anymore, .. as far as I can remember.

On those games, well .. only few couple hundred or so you can accumulate in one week.

but to get 50.000 points in 2 months .. waakkk... please do tell how.
I also been a member since they offer that $150 off long time ago.

Yeah, I don't see how you did it on straight WoF alone. I play daily in every category and don't amass enough to get that in such a short period without making purchases too.

Don't you mean 5,000 points? If so then it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I was quoting "evergoo" who claims he was able to achieved 50.000 points in 2 months. Not counting blurays or accessories registrations.

we want to know how he hack sony rewards website.. lol

Not sure where you are quoting him saying 50,000 points. 5 of the $10 PSN cards is 5,000 points (they are 1000 points each). I get about 1,900 points a month just from the games and updating my wish list, so like Prophecize said... 5,000 in two months is definitely not out of the realm of possibility. It's a great way for me to get free PSN cards, that's for sure.

you dont even have to answer the jeopardy weekly tournament questions right or even all of them. i accidentally closed it out the first time and saw my 200 points later on. why waste time doing it all i say.

More sweepstakes entries. Week 7 was 28,400 entries if you got them all right.

You are doing a very bad job at quoting and a great job at putting words in my mouth. :p From calling me a straightout liar then to begging for secrets? Priceless.

5,000 points in 2 months is definitely not unattainable. My progress should be slowing down however for the next couple of months. I'd say 4 $10 PSN Cards by mid-February while also going strong for my 5th.

evergoo.

I wondered the same thing, mainly because I figure I must be missing a way to get them, but either way good for you.

Have you thought about just banking them and getting the PS4 free and clear when it comes time?

PS4. I'm in a few long-term gameshare groups, including a very active RB2/TB:RB, which makes it difficult to save up for anything. I also find many of their items to be overpriced even after their Jackpot discount. I miss their gift card discounts though. :whistle2:(

Basic tips:
 1. Make it a routine to play daily. That means either before work, after work, or before you go to sleep. Doing so will make you impervious to absence. ;)
 2. Scan through the front page on the Wheel Watchers Club forum. Sony will sometimes have promotions (e.g. survey, change to Sony credit card automatic billing, etc.) I recall some of those automatic billing promos ranged from 500-1500 points. You might also be missing a few polls.
 3. Buy stuff.

What's funny is that I buy way more stuff with my Amazon and Citi credit cards than my Sony Rewards yet I acquire points faster than both those primary cards combined.

EVERYONE should be able to get around 1900 points a month playing the daily games and jeopardy tourney weekly. Anything beyond that is purchase points (or blurays/product registration if you haven't hit your limit)

i'm running out of stuff i want to actually put time into on PSN, am wondering if i want to just sit on these points for a couple months and buy something big. Most prices on the site suck, but i do still have a 20% off electronics coupon (and that's on top of the wof discount) from my 30th bluray. hmmm...

I'm currently at over 15,000 points since last April. Don't really use the card much, just play the games everyday. Not sure what I want to get, because yes even after the jackpot price all of their stuff is still overpriced.

Altho I do know that you can purchase a Sony item at any authorized reseller with the card and then submit a form to get the credit taken off your next statement from your points. So I'll probably end up doing that eventually if I wanted to get a bunch of games from Amazon.

My points are always near zero. I put all PS3 stuff on the VISA card and submit the bonus point/credit redemption within the 60 day after purchase. So if you earn say 2000 points a month, it's the same as getting a $20 credit provided that Sony item is charged on the VISA.

Any of you had any issues in applying for the credit redemption to your Sony CC? I sent in a bunch of my game purchase invoices from Amazon and Sony rejected them for no reason. I have to believe they were either lost in the mail or Sony is confused that I am mailing in a printed page from Amazon for my invoice. I just sent in an additional copy of the invoices, hopefully these will clear...

I had the same problem. Customer service told me they auto rejected them, but they will be processed in a couple of weeks. They have pulled this on me 2 times in the past. Worst case scenario, you can resubmit them (which is a pain) and they should approve them. They rejected 2 different batches for me. One was all amazon the others were TRU. I still have to mail in some others!

dude all you have to do is go to this forum -

http://boards.sonypictures.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=21

click on the latest date, and fill in the answers. It's all laid out plain and simpe for you, and usually anytime there is a points opportunity someone will post it on the boards.

if you haven't already, the one time points come from "refer a friend" at the bottom of any page (5 total i think), bluray registration, product registration, and the questionnaire under "my account".

Update on rejected credits/resubmissions (I have received some PMs, so I thought I would share my response)

Normally if they are rejected, you have to resubmit them. BUT in this case customer service told me they are rejecting all of them (for some reason) and they will re-process the credit requests.

I actually just got the approved emails for one of my two batches (my amazon batch which was the newer batch) that was already rejected and reprocessed by them. I now have the bonus points in my account and the points for the credit are on hold.

It seems like this time they are being truthful about the rejections/reprocessing.

I had a submission that was rejected last week for not having a reciept (even though i'm sure i included it). Then today I got another email saying that it was accepted. Not sure what happened, but hopefully i get the credit

Snake, you're thinking too hard. :bomb:

Just follow Jallen's advice and read the WoF forum. If you want to know the math, dig back a few pages and look for my post.

I am missing this one:

200 pt weekly quiz

Is that the one you get to after answering consecutively for x days in a row without missing answering the questions?

it is a jeopardy weekly quiz (tournament) for 200 pts under the jeopardy tab
They ran out of PSN $10 codes.

Any idea as to when they'll restock?
Yeah, I noticed this yesterday. They've been oos before but eventually restocked.

If you're looking for a secondary source for PSN Cards, I suggest redeeming a $25 Blockbuster gift card. Use a gift card to buy another gift card.

Does Blockbuster even carry those? Aren't they going OOBuisness?

How does Sony give you the rewards anyway? (Do they ship the card to you and if so, in how many days?)
As for gift cards, they're shipped. No idea how long.
Iirc, a week tops. I had a few shipped to me when they were doing Jackpot discounts on gift cards.

As for gift cards at Blockbuster, I've seen PSN Cards, XBox Live Points , XBox Live Gold, WoW, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. I've never seen Wii Points though.

I'm up to about 8200 points...trying to debate what to get. I was thinking of using my $144 Blockbuster credit and spend the rest on a PS3 on my Sony Card. I wonder if they would apply credit for a partial CC payment.?

got an email with a free "blockbuster night" offer, if you didn't get the email, go to insider specials, add blockbuster night to your cart, use code BBN2009 to get it free. give it a try

Just tried, it said coupon not valid for me.

Meh, god damn sonyrewards.

How long does it take to restock PSN codes? I would think of all things, they wouldn't run out of stock on that.

I know, how do they run out of something that's not even physical? Not like they send you a plastic card or anything. They must have a limit on how many can be redeemed for some reason. Maybe it will reset Jan. 1... if it does I'm buying 8 of those suckers.

Anyone else get this in the mail? Seems like a great deal for Sony Card/PS Card holders....spend at least 1500 on an item and get 2500 back.
