Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Interesting. Its only up for 6 days. Wonder if they will run out of EDF and Miner 2081 keys..Id say if there is HH it will only happen once (and knowing my luck will happen when its after midnight here)

Miner Wars 2081 also looks good [it's a BTA game].

Hopefully there is a Happy Hour. I'll be buying it either way, but willing to wait until the last day.

Note this under the gift description.

Is It a Gift?
Yes. Buy as a gift

You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for yourself. If you don't, you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock them, or more galapoints. ( Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account ).

You have to check this also if is Happy Hour Time and you want extra gifts

Still have that bit about happy hours. Of course, this wouldn't be the first time the folks at Indie Gala were incompetent enough to leave obsolete info in the main bundle page. But it could also mean that we haven't seen the last of happy hours.

If you think they would bother to update the fine print on their pages after making a big change you have more faith in them than I do.

That said, they seem to get desperate to drive their number of bundles sold up and hence the happy hours and (not so) stealth extensions. Plus they don't seem to be big on rules, organization or consistency. I think there'll be future happy hours though not necessarily on a 'short' bundle like this.

There might be one if it doesn't really sell that well. They probably don't want to do one but they'll have no choice.
There might be one if it doesn't really sell that well. They probably don't want to do one but they'll have no choice.
Yes that too.

Catch 22 at this point: most everyone is probably just waiting for a Happy Hour. If they want to spur more 'normal' sales then they'll have to have a couple of bundles where they don't actually offer one... but... in the meantime they'd lose money.

The last time they did a similar bundle (sim bundle) it was short, didn't sell well and there was no happy hour. I don't think hh is gone for good, but I wouldn't expect it in this bundle.
Here is my Paranormal key enjoy, its definitely a weird one

GWY4I-BEVMN-7RLRD-58I0M-CAC9A
Thank you!

Still thinking of picking this up for Miner Wars 2081... Happy Hour would seal it, but who knows.
Miner Wars was one of those games that intrigued me early in development but it didn't pan out to what I thought it would be. If this were eligible for a happy hour I'd be all over it but at $6... meh.
I'm intrigued on Miner Wars since first saw it on Steam... it had much hype.

I looked at some videos and yet can't see what's the main concept... is a "Descent" like game? A shooter?. The description talks about RPG and simulation (too)... much developers now label their games as RPG because you level your character. Is this the case?. My intention is not debating between what is a RPG game... I just want to know what aspect of RPG and Simulation this game have.

I surely will play EDF someday (maybe by 2017 :) ), but is Miner Wars the game I'm curious about
Looks like their servers are getting hit hard or something since its not showing me what the BTA price is.
That's just the way the page works now after the redesign. The average gets updated in real time (or close to it), but it takes 30-45 seconds for it to show up on your page when you first visit.

Current average is $5.33

Really liked the first EDF game that came out on 360. I know this one is supposed to be different and loses some of the charm, but still worth it, the rest of the games are just a bonus really

This may very well be the first time I buy one of these bundles because of a single game (EDF). Absolutely none of the other games interest me even a little bit. I'll have to sleep on it and see if the BTA drops anymore.

It's a bit of a free-roam Descent but they really oversold the 'open world' aspect of the game. It's fairly linear and the 'exploration' is as generic as you'd find in something like Darkstar One. A big problem they had is when they started taking pre-pre-alpha orders they promised two games: a single player open world game and an MMO. Unfortunately the only thing they delivered was a limited single player game that required a constant online connection to play. In a sense, they merged the two things without telling anyone so you can imagine how pissed people were. They've gotten a lot of bad word-of-mouth so sales dwindled pretty fast. I'm sure it's worth the couple of bucks you'd spend in this bundle but don't expect anything amazing. The 'RPG aspects' are minimal to non-existent.

U *do* realise the average is arbitrary dont you? ;)

I read they removed the "always online" thing. Anyway, doesn't sound like a game I'll be playing. I'll wait and see what the mistery game is. I really don't care about HH, already have enough copies of paranormal (great game btw) :)

Why did the price drop to $1? I am the fool who bought in at like $5.50 instead, but I'd grab a 2nd bundle for a buddy for only $1

Nevermind, it just hadnt been loading the avg price for me. But how are people geting the EDF tier for $1 or saying the avg is arbitrary?

People aren't and the average isn't based on an average most likely. It's whatever indiegala chooses to set the BTA at most likely.

Presumably people mean if a happy hour happens. Personally, I think this bundle is worth full price and would have bought it if I didn't already grab EDF complete from GamersGate. Also, the sales numbers are readily available on the front page. As of this posting, the math suggests that a BTA bundle is actually cheaper than the true average.

Well, technically the average is supposed to be the average people are paying without taking into account the bonus gifts during happy hour. I haven't done the math to see if that holds true. They definitely manipulate the average during happy hour and I don't know if this is to counter act those gift bundles or just so the games don't get too uber cheap.

I bought in despite owning EDF on 360 and would say this bundle is definitely worth it at $6 from a value perspective. If you don't want/like the other games that's a whole different question.

I will also say that even if HH doesn't happen you can still save a little money by having someone buy a 5 gift pack and gift those out.

help me CAGs, do you think the Flash bundle will have a happy hour? i wanna get a few more for my friends so we can MP together in EDF or Miner Wars.

An excellent idea. If there is no Happy Hour, I'm gonna buy a 5-pack to knock a buck off the cost.

Grabbed! That was the little push I was waiting for. Zombie pirates seems fun, my kids maybe like it too

Edit: can't install zombie pirates... "no steam content servers..."
Now that Euro Truck Simulator is on Steam, will we get Steam keys from the IndieGala Sim bundle?
It's possible, but I wouldn't count on it. As you can see from this post by Motoki, they've been hesitant to give out Desura keys for Smooth Operators to people who bought Indie Gala 9.

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=10532825&postcount=1941

And in that case, the Dev is actively trying to give out Desura keys. Who knows if the Euro Truck Simulator people even want to give out steam keys.

It was a DRM Free version so I don't know. You might want to contact the dev directly and see what they say.
