Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

... son of a bitch. And here I was stressing over a water heater almost all day.

I don't suppose any one just wants Black Mirror 2/3 and wants to split the Alter Ego bundle with me? I already have BM 2/3 from Amazon, but would like to get Alter Ego and Mata Hari
Just out curiosity, Fox how many Galapoints do you have now?
Indiegala says 88,900 - but they have robbed me of some points for some bundles. (I still get my bundles, but my contribution amount stays low sometimes)

Happy Hour's back on, but I'm not looking to spend another $6, as much of a frugal anus as I am. If anyone's got a full bundle to spare for chump change, PM me (though my box only has room for two or three more messages, heh).

If this post violates whatever terms were dreamed up for this thread, I sincerely apologize, but I gotta run out for breakfast before work :D

New Gala Store Bundle.

The Whispered Cargo Bundle
cargoBundle_news3647c5.jpg

99 cents gets you:
- Edna & Harvey: The Breakout (DRM Free)
- Airline Tycoon Deluxe (DRM Free)

BEAT $3.99 AND GET ALSO:
- The Whispered World (Steam)
*- Mata Hari (Steam)
OR
*- Cargo: The quest for Gravity

Again if you bought IG 11 for the full price you can get a dollar off so you can get the full bundle for $2.99. (It doesn't count if you had a full IG11 gifted to you)

*The email said Cargo but the Gala store page says Mata Hari so I have no idea which one you will get.

I love these 99 cent bundles - better than the actual Indie Gala bundles in most cases!

It looks like you only get Cargo since it's the Whispered Cargo bundle. Mata Hari and The Whispered World are the two games I don't own, having already bought Cargo and Alter Ego before. Rather unfortunate that I couldn't pick up both games in one purchase. :(

Also, not sure why they're giving the DRM-free version of Edna & Harvey when they have a Steam version for sale on the site as well. I think we can expect the Steam version to be bundled soon.

I'd be all over this bundle if it was a little cheaper or had a game that I didn't already own instead of Cargo.

That's a different game (Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes) from the one in the bundle (Edna & Harvey: The Breakout).

If you buy a BTA HappyHour bundle, do I have to enter the email for the gift copy at time of purchase, or can I leave it blank and still have it in my account?

I figured I would ask you guys since many of you have experience.

When you buy any gifts as long as you click "Is It A Gift" or whatever and don't enter any emails you will get the bundles added to your indie gala page and then be able to send them out from there later on.

I've never even entered emails at the time of purchase. What happens if you do? Obviously the copy that you entered the email to gets sent to the person at that email address, but do you not even see that gift bundle in your account afterward? Or is there just a note that it's been sent to that email address?

Second one isn't too appealing. How much is the complete Crazy Machines on Steam Sale?

Hmmm.. Steam Prices says $19.99

Might not be a bad deal then...

Just checked and apparently I can buy more than one of these bundles at the BTA price of $3.99.

So if anyone wants it, just PM and I'll be your conduit.

They really need a filter. Or I just have too much shit. Actually I do have too much shit, but they still need a filter.

As for complicated you expected any less? These are the people who created the happy hour gifting bundle system that requires a degree in nuclear physics to figure out.

So i decided to check it out. Put up a couple of my old leftover keys for givaway. Rather quickly chewed through 50k points on bids for the next few days.

Already won a Rome Total war + Expansion key.

All seems legit.

I dont see it getting too much use after a while. I auctioned a cave story key, 1000 bid, 70 bidders. I made less than 300 points from it, barely enough to bid on something else. Its going to crash big time. When there is steam gift trading sites out there, this isnt going to hold up, especially as most things give you a 1 in 100 to 1 in 1000 odds of winning.
I auctioned a cave story key, 1000 bid, 70 bidders. I made less than 300 points from it, barely enough to bid on something else.
Why only 300 points? From their FAQ I would have thought it you would get around 4500 points.

1000 + (1000 * 0.05 * 70) = 4500

I never got around to buying Indie Gala 11 so if somebody bought extras during happy hour and needs an earlier one 7-9 (I may have an extra 10 also) ill do an even straight up trade

My reservations against using the new Indiegala Gift Giveaway have been confirmed. Also got tired of Steamgifts too. (always found it ironic when someone was giving away indie keys and setting a minimum $2000 contribution to enter for a 20 cent game lol.)

Oh crap.

Well i just found out that this site gives your email address out to anyone who wins your giveaways, or any that you win.

So my email address just got handed out by them to a Russian with over 2000 steam games. Glad i used a throw away email addy, but this is serious bad juju.

They just updated their privacy policy and ToS to reflect this, but its too late for anyone that already signed up.

Im emailing them now to insist they remove my email address from their database. Complete bullshit. Why would they need to hand over your email address to people. They could have the keys sent through the site, or straight as a steam gift. This is seriously dodgy.

I think steamgifts does this as well. It's not some new thing that Indiegala thought of.
I think steamgifts does this as well. It's not some new thing that Indiegala thought of.
Ive never used steamgifts. If they had been upfront about handing out your email address to anybody i wouldn't have signed up for it tbh. Its the fact they added a privacy policy and a ToS after the majority of users were signed up.

In the last few hours, they have changed the way giveaways generate points TWICE. The first change screwed over anyone who has given away something in the last few days or had a high priced giveaway currently running, and this new changes gives new giveaways even more points.

Giveaways today have dropped off to almost nothing. The few that are coming up only really reward you for pricing in the 10k point region, and this means that almost all games have 100-400 bids. Good luck winning anything now.
Uh.. It says that I have 209k GA points. This can't possibly be right, can it?
They give you an amount of points based on how many games you have on Steam. I got around 750k, so I think it's 1,000 per game.
Uh.. It says that I have 209k GA points. This can't possibly be right, can it?
Sounds about right. Its based on the value of your account.

100 points = $1 (how they originally valued it, dunno if they have changed that yet, they changed everything else :p)

Edit: They must have changed that again. its now saying accounts are worth more than they were when i signed up.

mine is only 10K so not sure if it's based on how many. I have about 450 games.
I have almost a million Gala Giveaway points. Yes I have way too many damned games.
With all the posting you do here (and presumably elsewhere), do you have much time left to actually play your games? I'm genuinely curious...

You guys keep bumping the thread and make me think a new Indie Gala bundle went live.. but nope, the new discussion is about their crappy giveaway site

No. :p

Actually there tend to be certain games like Skyrim, Civ V, Sims 3, Tropico 4 etc that suck me in for hours and hours and hours of play. But then the rest I just kind of look at and go 'Hmm, yeah, I really should play that someday...'
Your GW points [1,121,642]

Ugh.
I want to see AnarchyOblivion's GW points.

*sigh*, as i feared may happen, im getting multiple login attempts with someone trying to guess my password on steam. I thought i used a trash throw away email, but i guess i didnt. I have 2 things on the email, Giveaways and Steam, so im confident its related to galagiveaways.

The IP address steamguard is giving me is a Russian IP address, and i just had an issue with a Russian member winning one of my auctions, Galagiveaways giving him my email address and refusing to communicate and then him spamming my inbox with russian crap.

From the bottom of my heart guys, stay away from this site. I now have to move my steam account to a new email address just to be safe.

Edit: just as i finish typing that, im now getting log in attempts/password reset requests for the email account i used.

That's pretty shitty. I think I'll let my 250k points sit quietly forever. Glad nothing too bad has happened, at least.

fuck that, I think I'm done with these giveaway sites. It's safer just to giveaway on here. :bouncy:

The "Query account by email address" emails are from other people trying to redeem a used code to their Steam Account and hitting the support button.
If you're getting that, it might be other people trying to get it. If you do online Twitter code drops you'll get that a lot.

Its not those, its login attempts. "you have tried to log in too many times, please wait 15 mins" etc.

Followed by password reset attempts, then the same on my email.

I got this response from them:

We can ensure you and everyone here that what is happening to you is in no way related to the galagiveaways staff or galagiveaways website software. If you have security issues or you fear that someone may be hacking your account or even our website ( this may happen, like for any other website ), please contact our support email [email protected] immediately with as much details as possible and we will work together to enforce website security even more. Best.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They cant even acknowledge that handing out your email to random users can potentially cause security risks. They are absolutely positive that handing out my clean, fresh, unused anywhere else email to a russian has nothing to do with me being attacked by a russian ip not a day later.

Typical blame the user for their mistake.
