Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Unlock Second Week

HH wouldn't surprise me. Mass Effect 2 has been on sale numerous times for $5. Selling it for pennies along with other games doesn't really matter to EA. It's all about getting people to install Origin.

I'll buy a happy hour but I refuse to actually be happy about it.

Hope one of the unlocks is ME1 or at least one of the DLC. Speaking of which, I really hope one day EA releases an updated version of the Trilogy set with all the DLC...yeah right. It worked fine for Dragon Age Ultimate so what's their beef?

The unlocks are both a Steam and Desura game, so it won't be ME1 or ME DLC, unless they add another slot for an unlock. I'd bet that the reason ME2 is in the bundle is so they can sell the DLC at full price lol.

hmmm, maybe I should buy this ME 2 and download a copy from TPB. I really don't want to install origin, but feel bad if I dont pay the money to developers.

From the Kill Fun Yeah Description (on the gala bundle page):

The game is free to try for 3 hours with a few limitations, which, along with the time limit, are removed upon purchasing the full version

They are giving us a demo??
From the Kill Fun Yeah Description (on the gala bundle page):

I doubt it, since it comes with a desura key it's probably the full version. I think indie gala slipped up with the description.

That wouldn't surprise me. They are effin lazy about the videos, just doing a youtube search and going with "I'm feeling lucky..."

It's already been in an IR bundle (the one after that which contained Ep. 1 iirc.)
Yeah I have a feeling the 2nd will show up in a million bundles..
I also have the first one and want the second one, but I'm now waiting for the Cognition "complete" bundle (all episodes) before I buy again. Hopefully they have enough money to finish all four planned episodes.

Might be in this for the 1 dollar range. I have pretty much all the beat the average games sans Gimbal. I keep missing Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery...and will be glad to get it and the other non BTA games for a dollar.

They added the bonus games for the Indie Gala: Mass Effect bundle, too. $1 tier now also gets you a Desura key to Adventure Apes and the Mayan Mystery, while the higher tier now gets you Shadowgrounds: Survivor on Steam.

Oh, and LOL at the listed system requirements for Adventure Apes... apparently you need a quad core processor, 8 GBs of RAM, and DirectX 11 to run a platformer with 16-bit graphics, at least according to Indie Gala.

I'm torn on the Indie Gala: Weekly bundle. If I hadn't already bought Cognition: Ep 1 in the Steam trading thread, I'd be all over it.

Oh, and they also revealed the "bonuses" for the Indie Gala Mass Effect bundle: Adventure Apes at the $1 level, and Shadowgrounds Survivor at the BTA level. Here's hoping for HH 'cause I'm sure as hell not paying almost $6 for ME2.
Is there anybody out there who didn't fully expect Shadowgrounds: Survivor to be the bonus Steam game?
I was hoping it wouldn't be.. I mean, who doesn't have it yet?
Is there anybody out there who didn't fully expect Shadowgrounds: Survivor to be the bonus Steam game?
What if I was thinking it'd be Shank 1?

Either way, I have every game in both this bundle and the weekly bundle except for Zombie Driver HD, which i already have the basic version anyways.

i have too many games

Did the weekly change early? Unless I read the timer wrong when I looked at it last, I think it still should be going.

Anybody out there own both the old version of Zombie Driver & Zombie Driver HD? Does ZDHD replace the old version of the game in your game library? Or do they appear as two separate listings?

I'm pretty sure they're 2 separate listings, although I can't 100% confirm it as I don't have Zombie Driver HD yet.

Bought the mass effect bundle. Mostly for ZDHD, kill fun... And gimbal. Also mass effect 2, but still ain't played me1. Will gift duplicates on my blog :)

Bought it 20 minutes ago, Still waiting for my keys.

HATE the gala design/layout! It's impossible to navigate on a phone!

Edit: keys received.

ZD HD is a bit of a visual upgrade and small expansion ("bosses" added in), otherwise it's identical to ZD. I completed ZD years ago, and played through the ZD HD demo.

I really liked ZD, there haven't been many games since the '90s like it. If you own both but haven't played either, just ignore the original.

ZD gave me headaches with it's blur effects when driving. I hope the HD version is a lil bit more clear on that....likely wont play for a while anyway since wasn't too crazy about the original.
Now about the still life bundle. Anyone played those games?
Yeah, I played these years ago but need to replay them because apparently I smoked those brain cells away. Definitely worth the couple bucks indiegalastore is asking.

Oh and thanks Fox for saving me a copy of the mass effect bundle.

Thanks to Fox for hosting a bundle buy again, too.

New HH just popped up and got another group buy since I was almost out.

Also, appreciate all the thanks/comments from you guys in your notes/this thread/group buy thread. I do read em all, just don't have time to respond individually.

I totally forgot about this bundle. Heh. The ONLY Steam game I'm lacking - and yeah, I really only buy these for the Steam games - is Zombie Driver HD, and I got the original quite some time ago. It's Happy Hour so I guess I'll bite and pass the joy/redundant keys along.

Origin keys can suck mah balls

From Indie Gala's facebook page:

"2 new games will be soon, an addicting DRM free puzzle, and a newly released Android title from Vancouver based team!"
Will finally play Mass Effect 2, without ever playing 1 or 3

I like it
Mass Effect 2 is hands down one of my top 5 games this gen. If anyone still doesn't have it, buy the freaking bundle!

Spring bonus (DRM-free) and Max's Pirate Planet (Android) were added to the Mass Effect bundle. Is it wrong that I lol'd after seeing the pic for Spring bonus? Even the names for the bonus games are funny.. maybe I'm just going crazy.
Is it wrong that I lol'd after seeing the pic for Spring bonus?
It would be weird if you didn't laugh.

Anyway, nothing of interest for me here. But I had already determined that the bundle was worth a Happy Hour purchase. So if they want to throw in some extra crap that I didn't expect to be in the bundle when I bought, hey, why not? At worst, I can simply ignore it.
So is the $1 tier at all worth it?

I got a good laugh at them as well. I'm sure they'll sell a ton of copies;)
When you can get the entire bundle for $1.60 I don't know why anyone would go in just for $1.
wait, what? How, what am I missing? (new to indie gala bundles, so I don't exactly know how they work)
Ah, Indie Gala has Happy Hours so if you buy the bundle from a host of a group buy (such as myself) who bought the group buy during Happy Hour you get the bundle pretty cheap. Honestly, that's what most CAGs do around here. You get a URL emailed from IG with your unique URL with all your bundle keys and DRM free DL links.

If interested just PM me, I have a few bundles left from my last group buy.
