Yes, yet another indie bundle, but like the Humble Bundle, you can set your own price and donate to charity as well. The games only register on Steam, but that won't be a problem for most here. You get a key for each individual game, so you can gift whatever you do not personally want if you feel like it.

Happy Hour guidelines:

*Happy Hour happens at random times: sometimes as early as 4 days after the bundle going live, but most often during the second week of sales.

Happy Hour! Double Gifts! During Happy Hour time New buyers for every gift purchase get a 2nd bonus gift for free (2x1)! All gifts are doubled! Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT'! *If you have not purchased the current Indie Gala yet, you can buy two for one during happy hour

And if you are an early buyer the deal is EVEN BIGGER!

Yes! If you already bought the current indiegala bundle, you get 2 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 3 x 1 ) *If you have already purchased the bundle, but you did not purchase it in the first week, you can buy three for one

And if you bought it in the first week you get 3 bonus gifts for free for every gift purchased ( 4 x 1 ) *If you already purchased the current bundle and did so in the first week of the current bundle going live, you can buy four for one

Remember to check 'IS IT A GIFT' ! if you want to take advantage of Happy Hour. You have to check this also if, after purchasing a bundle for yourself with your own email address, you want another additional bundle for you. If you don't, transactions amount will sum on your original email account and you can upgrade your purchase, obtaining more bonuses if you previously didn't unlock it, or more galapoints.

REMEMBER: (Gift purchases are not upgradable and don't contribute to upgrade your personal account for unlock new content.)
***For Happy Hour, you MUST use the same e-mail you used when buying your first bundle, and you MUST check the gift option below the payment method. You have to buy again during Happy Hour to receive gift copies.

CAG Group Buy Hosting FAQ

Q: I see all of these CAGs hosting group buys for people. What's that all about?
A: It's a way for CAGs to help each other get the best deal. One person will buy the bundle during the first week, then they will buy four gift copies at the highest tier during Happy Hour. This person is referred to as the host. They then try to sell these to participants for a fraction of the price of buying the "beat the average" bundle individually, plus some extra to distribute the cost of the initial bundle purchase in the first week. The host gains money back, and the participants get the full bundle for a fourth of the cost. Everyone wins.

Q: How do I host one?
A: To host a CAG group buy, you must first purchase the Indie Gala full BTA (beat the average) bundle in the first week (this has been changed since the previous bundles). This will allow you to purchase four additional bundles for the price of one during a Happy Hour, as stated in the Happy Hour post above. Now, it does matter how much you initially spend, as you must purchase the full bundle in order to purchase full bundle four-packs during Happy Hour. Then, once Happy Hour starts, you buy a gift copy for the current "beat the average" price, which will be listed on the Indie Gala page. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK "IS IT A GIFT" TO GET FOUR GIFT COPIES.

Q: It's asking me for multiple e-mail addresses. What do I do?
A: Just skip that part. The links to the gifts will be added to your account page (which is another reason why you must always use the same e-mail address when ordering from Indie Gala). Most hosts will send out the gift URLs to their participants in a PM.

Q: Is it hard to do?
A: No, it's very quick and easy. Just keep track of which gift URLs you have sent to which people, and you will be fine.

Ahhh, crap @ Deadly Premonition: DC in tier #2 for $5.19.

That BTP (Beat The Price) here is certainly better than 75% off its normal price on Steam ($24.99).

And certainly the best price we seen on this one, so far.

Dammit, might have to buy - been VERY curious about this game.

Plus, you know - in Durante the modder, I trust...especially after what he did w/ DSFix Mod for Dark Souls PTD PC.

Just FYI, CheapLikeAFox usually hosts a happy hour for standard IG bundles and the per-bundle price for a full bundle is typically between $1.50-$3.

Oooh, good to know...for the future!

Already bought the bundle & downloading Deadly Premonition.

EDIT:

Got DSFix Mod installed and whatnot.

Just decided to give it a quick-look. Got through the 1st (linear) area, right before the game decides to go open-world on you. I saved right there.

This feels like in style and tone like it's right out of some of them older Silent Hill games (SH1-4) and also Resident Evil 4 (control-wise w/ gamepad - I've played from Resident Evil 4 and on, BTW).

Once this free weekend for SR4's over, I'm certainly playing THIS.

Eh, I really want Deadly Premonition but the other games don't look so hot. So essentially I'm just buying Deadly Premonition for $5. I'm trying to talk myself into holding off until the next Steam sale where it'll likely hit $2.49 (probably around the same time I'd actually be ready to actually play the game).

 Dude, where have you been the last two or so years?

Yeah, I know, buying stuff from retail...
I really ain't bought from Indie Gala....until RF Bundle.

This purchase of Deadly Prom is only my 2nd Gala purchase.

Yes, I'm often late to parties and stuff - but give an old dog like myself some time.

He might learn maybe one, two, or three new tricks.

I started buying bundles left and right mainly because my other account was banned from Steam due to some keys acquired from shady websites... that'll teach me to rely only on trustworthy CAGers!

Anyway, I must say I'm impressed by this Indie Gala January, after months of considering them as a sort of "low tier" bundles chock full of not-so-great independent titles: all Steam games are pretty good, and Deadly Premonition (loved it on Xbox) is just the icing on the cake. Looking forward to get another copy during HH!

Currently it's topped only by Indie Royale's Nutcracker Bundle, but that's because the latter came with Pixeljunk Monsters which became my new crack since its installation...

So, I'm curious 'cause since it's pretty rare: your Steam account got permanently or temporarily suspended by Valve? Do you still have access to your games? Was there any compensation?

Same here. $5 is my price point for this game, right now I'm trying to finish Skyrim and Darksiders 2 before Dark Souls 2 is out.

What keys got your account banned? I haven't heard of this happening, usually the keys get revoked. When it's a Steam gift, that's a different story.. if someone filed a charge back on the Steam gift they traded you, there's a chance your account will get banned.

Last year, I bought some games from a guy that a friend of mine claimed to know, both keys and Steam gifts. He was already flagged on steamrep.com, but we didn't know that website at the time.

Long story short, keys and gifts were paid with stolen credit cards or obtained illegally anyway, so we ended up with a flag for fraudulent activities on our accounts. Corresponding games were obviously deleted from our libraries and we were blocked from buying, adding games, using the market and trading ever again. Steam support told us the ban was permanent.

However, we are still free to use games acquired through Steam store, bundles or authorized resellers on those accounts but, since the news came near the start of last winter sale, I decided to start from scratch with a new account anyway and even repurchase some of the games I already have as a sort of personal "atonement".

Never buy anything from someone without an estabilished credit, kids. I learned that the hard way. Also, brush your teeth three times a day! :shame:

I've always understood OP to mean Octopus Porn.
sadly, my mind went the same direction lmao :D

thread summary

and apparently indiegala is giving out DP's? i'll pass wouldn't even want a SP.

we now know the true intentions of the steam box (you better brush your teeth, Gabe is watching you.)

some guy would rather pay 2.49 later for deadly porn (or whatever was added to the indiegala january bundle) than pay 2.49 now for it and 8 other games

Just to give everyone a heads up that bought the Indie Gala Dwarves bundle (March 20th, 2013), we, KISS Ltd, will be providing Steam keys for Gun Metal and Guilty Gear Isuka now that they have released on Steam. The only issue is, since we weren't the publisher that was a part of the bundle, we have no access to the purchaser list. We have come up with a solution though, keys will be dispersed via GamersGate. Unfortunately, we have no control over the timeframe.

Glad to hear it is working. Thanks for letting me know! GG was very quick on this.

I was thinking... GG was also really good last year about giving everyone who owned the troublesome-DRMed version of Sacred 2 Gold the DRM-FREE version of Sacred 2 Gold.  (Possibly due in part to MysterD's prodding.)

And if I could convince them to get the freaking DRM out of The Precursors, I'd be happy w/ them again. :D

But, of course - that would have to also have involvement on Game Factory's end, too.

I bugged both GG + Deep Silver about S2: Gold's DRM numerous times over Twitter (often sent/tagged posts to both of them) - especially since Deep Silver released Sacred 2: Gold on Steam w/out Securom (only Steam DRM). That might've helped tip the iceberg a bit. ;)

From my experience, I've always found Deep Silver's often been pretty good w/ customers like myself.

EDIT:

They (Deep Silver) certainly did a good job w/ Sacred 2: Gold on GG; and also w/ removing Tages DRM from Risen 1 (when gamers on Amazon DVG who bought Non-Steam version and some gamers that bought Risen 1 on Steam couldn't get the game activated b/c of the crappy 3rd party Tages DRM and server issues w/ it).

i say deep silver and codemaster facebook are good they actually reply while rest publisher nothing but no reply

Worthy bonus, perfect game for that cause I would never pay full price for it such as Surgeon Simulator 2013. Decent bundle games, but would likely never purchase them otherwise.
