The Official Craigslist Finds Thread!

That could be a cherrypick kind of lot Potatoeman; there's room for a lot of junk in those ps1 and xbox stacks. Plus his consoles (ps1, genesis, original xboxes) & the DDR pad aren't exactly run away sellers. I'd say more like $50 based on his cubes, the smash bros melee, and maybe those nintendo carts hidden on the right-hand side.

Don't buy gamecube systems...just don't do it, if at all possible. I have 3 of them and can barely unload them for $10 to $15 each with all the cords and a controller. I end up with them when I buy entire lots and the seller doesn't want to keep the system. It sucks.

I'm going over there in an hour or so, i'll post about it when I return.

I don't want the systems at all really. I talked with the lady on the phone about splitting the consoles up and she said no dice, she doesnt want to get stuck with them (hah!). But she said if I dont want the Xbox 360 or xbox she would drop it to $200. After I look at the games a bit and check everything out I'll go from there.

I might have found a really great deal on a PC that is better then mine. If I get it I will tell you the whole story, but for now I shall just say it has twice the RAM (4GB), four times the hard drive space(1TB), Windows 7, and a Webcam. Price
$100

Alright, so I've returned. As soon as I stepped into the garage I saw a ton of boxes and packing material marked "ebay", so I had a bad feeling. She bought and sold on ebay for years, and this was a lot of the stuff she didnt sell. Figures eh?

She sat me down and had me look over everything, but it was pretty obvious as I started that she had CRAP for games really. Tons of kids games, disney, etc. Out of probably 50 playstation 1/2 games, she had 3 decent ones - some Spyro games. Xbox/360 games were the same deal, as were the stack of NES games.

The 4 gamecube games she had were all decent picks oddly enough - Smash bros, RE-make, LoZ: Twilight Princess, and LoZ CE Collection.

I asked what she wanted for just the gamecube stuff and she said $75, no lower. After mulling around for 20 minutes or so looking at her other stuff in the garage, I came back and asked if she would split a portion of the games up, which she agreed to.

I ended up with the LoZ: CE, the 3 Spyro games for PS1, Castlevania 3 for NES, and Bart vs the Space Mutants for NES. She let me have them for $10! Not bad at all really, although quite a disappointment considering it was a 20 minute car trip just to get there.

How much are the God of War edition PSP's worth? I found one for $60 but not sure how much these usually go for or if its worth it to get the newer 3000 version. This is what the ad says:

Does anyone want to hear my story? If so continue on reading!
So I had bought the Indie Gala bundle with DLC Quest and all the others and had wanted to play them. When I tried to load DLC Quest it would not work (I had thought because of my Graphics Card) and I got upset. I begin to look for cheap GC's on Craigslist and after about a week I see an add for a PC for $125. (I figured if I could find a better PC it would be a win-win situation) I look at it and it says this guy is selling a 3 month old $450 PC for $125. I think "HOLY ****" and immediately email him, hoping it was real. He emails back saying it has 4GB of Ram and 1TB of space. I was incredulous! I emailed back asking if he could take lower for it (I got to be a Cheap ass right?) figureing he will say no or maybe $10. He says he can go to $100! I reply saying I want to purchase it the next day. However, the next day my mother has to go to an Eyeglass appointment, and this guy has to go to work at 4 or 5. My mother's appointment lasted untill 6. I called and told him I wasn't able to come and he says ok. The next day he does not respond to any calls or an email. I get even more upset thinking I missed the deal of the year. (For me it is because I do not regularly get money and cannot afford a PC at the store) He responds the day after that and says he had to work late and that he would still like to sell the PC. We leave rith then and go to get it. We get there wait a few minutes and buy the PC. I get back home and open it to my greates surprise! He had said that there was a webcam and the Hard drive for sale BUT, (BTW it still had the box and those protective plastics pieces on the power buttons.) It had a mouse, keyboard, headphones, and speakers in it too! I was overjoyd to get all of these items! Some were still in the bubblewrap in which the were packaged. I fell it was my best purchase so far and my games play too. WOO-HOO!:D:D:D:D
Nice find man! I sold a gameshark 2 loose in the box a couple months back for $70, so you may be able to sell that alone for what you paid.
I was thinking that after I glanced at it and checked ebay prices on a whim (I have no need for a cheating tool). Very pleased with this haul, but a bummer I found out that it came with no NES adapter and the Atari doesn't turn on. The GameGear is also not quite as functional as I had hoped.

Good thing is, I can probably open these things up and fix them. I get the feeling the guy had left all these in the garage because there was THICK layer of dust on everything. It was so thick, I was using some paper towels and cloths to clean them up instead of my fingers.

Picked up a Gamecube lot for $40 today :D

All the games are complete and rather minty, except for a disc only copy of Zelda OOT that is in the console itself.
Would have gladly gave $40 for the games alone so the console is just an added bonus.

Nice find.

I picked up the below lot yesterday. Lately I've started searching the Craigslist's for areas other than my own (but still within reasonable driving distance). That paid off yesterday. A guy had posted everything below about 30 minutes prior, plus an old tube TV also in the post. He was asking $25.

I emailed him pronto, he called me back about 5 minutes later. It was a 40 minute drive each way, but well worth it (for the price) in my opinion. I got there, offered him $20 and told him he could keep the TV (the kind they sell for $10 or $15 at Goodwill, didn't feel like lugging it around). He accepted, and I was a happy camper... a few decent titles and a watermelon n64 with controller (stick tight as a... you know what I mean). My first ever copy of Ogre Battle 64, and my first watermelon n64; both will go in my collection. For n64s in my collection, I now have jungle green, smoke gray, watermelon, and grape, as well as a regular! :applause:

Those watermelons are hard to find but I am glad to hear it's going into a Colored N64 collection! I bet that looks sweet if you had them all stacked or something.

So what do you guys think of this? Worth it?

"Sega genesis model 2 with 2 controllers. Power cord is faulty but if you wiggle it right it'll work. cheap replacement.

Sega Genesis games: cosmic space head, triple score 3 games in 1, combat cars, ecco the dolphin, sonic 2, alienstorm, eternal champions.

$20 and it's yours :) "

Offer him 10 and see what he says. Most of the Local game stores around me won't even buy/trade for Sega Genesis. I saw one of the vendors at the flea market throwing them in the trash because they took up too much space and no one buys them.

Really hoping someone can help me with a possible CL transaction. There is a person who is selling a white Korean model 320 GB PS3. They are asking 200 obo. I'm thinking in the 170-175 range. I plan on primarily using it for ps3 exclusives. Is this a good deal? Its in mint condition with a white ds controller, all cords, and even the box.

Edit- It's also about a 90 minute round trip.
I think you need a voltage converter for that thing, so it's not really worth it.
PS3s have universal power supplies. Any system from anywhere works everywhere.

Guy here just put up a Sega Saturn with a few controllers and 25 or so games. I already have a US Saturn and a JPN Saturn...but he's got some good games in there.

Too bad he wants $300. :/ (Not worth it.)

Gonna try and talk him down, but, his ad sounds like he's not gonna budge.
since when? I've seen PS3's in the UK with different voltage adaptors than here in the US
Different outlets and different voltages are different. PS3s have internal voltage regulators, and works with both 115 and 220V. The adaptor is like $3.

Darn :( A guy about 2 hours away from me has a "perfectly working" Sega Saturn for $10! In my area, that's as good as it gets, since I never have any lucky finds like you guys

However, he won't even meet halfway or ship it. OH well.

Why would someone drive an hour to sell a ten dollar item?
i dont know too much about early 8 bit stuff. you guys think an intellivision with opened box and 18 games in box for 100 bucks is a good deal? their throwing in another open intellivision too.

Not too far off from market value, but it might not be bad from a collecting POV if you can flip the extra intellivision locally.

I've been making on average 1 solid craigslist find a week for awhile now. This one was definitely worthy of pics. Got everything in the below pics for $50 (didn't bargain, I generally don't if I'm ok with the asking price, since I don't want to get a phone call when I'm driving to meet the guy saying he is selling it to someone paying full asking price).

SDC14290.jpg

An xbox and 4 controllers, all wires, and a memory card. Yay...onto the good stuff.

SDC14292.jpg

Guy posted, I replied within 5 minutes. He calls me a couple minutes later, I agree to the $50 asking, and drive about 30 minutes each way to pick it up. Was pleasantly surprised that only 1 game out of this entire lot was missing its manual (Manhunt). KOTOR, Morrowind:GOTY, and GTA Double Pack were all minty complete, which is great because KOTOR will replace a Platinum Hits Copy, Morrowind:GOTY will replace a non-GOTY copy, and I didn't have GTA: Double Pack. Might keep some of the minty splinter cell games too. Will deal the rest.

Don't have pics of a find from about a month ago, but I got 47 xbox games for $40 from a guy (and I didn't even have to buy his system, how nice of him). Highlights were complete copies of Battlefront I and II, and Godzilla: Save the Earth. Sold the Battlefront set for $55 and Godzilla for $35. The rest was/will be yard sale/Craigslist fodder.

Keep the Xbox stuff coming.

One of my first CL purchases in a few years: Slim PS3 120GB brand new with 7 games - he asked for $250, I offered $230. He accepted! Traded those 7 games in to GS during the huge trade promo last week and got $120 in credit. I think I may start using CL more often now.

Nintendo Wii bundle-80

Came with the Wii and all the hook ups BUT it also came with Metroid Prime Trilogy, Goldeneye and Wii Play. All are in excellent shape. I plan to just flip it all so I can buy a black Wii and maybe some games for it as well...

Someone wants $150 for sealed copies of Resident Evil remake, zero, 2, 3, 4, and Code Veronica X for gamecube. Not sure if I should bite or maybe try to talk him down at all.

Hmmm someone wants 20 for a CIB copy of Kirby's Adventure for the NES. I'm tempted...

30 for a CIB of SMB3...eh, seems a bit much.

EDIT: Wait, someone wants 50 bucks for a Sega Saturn with all the hook ups, a Genesis, a N64 and some Namco light gun. Shame that isn't a Sega CD...

Prime Trilogy had a pretty limited print run and is going for $70 used at GameStop currently. It might be worth holding on to, but up to you.

That game used to easily sell for over $100 early last year, it has lost it's glimmer though, if you can get it cheap go for it since it is hard to find.

I tried to grab a 3DO and a Big Boss PSP bundle for about 100 bucks each but neither seller bothered to respond to my email. Guess they already sold them.

Only deal I ever got from Craigslist was FFVII and FFVIII CIB black label for $40.

Yeah that 3DO would've been gone fast at that price. I paid $200 for mine, but I also got a cd holder full of about 40 games legit and burned for the 3DO
