that how mine was it was in the middle of the floor stacked on top of another one on top the titanfall ce box the way they display the stuff with the pickup notice paper on the side saying sold though
 
Just so you know that plane is complete junk. It's nothing but foam except for the nose which is the only molded plastic. It looks like a toy sold in the cheap isle at WM/Target/TRU or maybe at Five Below.

Ubisoft should be ashamed of themselves for charging $160 MSRP for that CE.

Anyone who gets it for free or buying it as a used game, awesome, but just don't expect to have a lot of fun with that thing.

I don't understand why people are thinking it's going to be some high-quality RC. For $160 (and minus $60 for the game and ~10 for the book) leaves you with $90. For $90, you can barely get a cheap, mini single motor entry-level RC plane with a remote. While the plane may be made of foam, it's not cheap packing-quality styrofoam. It's actually pretty durable, unless you nose dive it into the ground; in that case not even a $300 plane would survive without needing repair work.

I don't know toys/RC stuff since I'm an only child with no younger relatives & no kids so this is a good perspective to have. Thanks.
 
Man, so much BS! Called a store and the manager that knows me told me that the store down the street had two 360 and one for PS3. He called that store to let them know to hold one. I rush over there and the guy there told me he is waiting to hear from his manager if they can sell it, something about email telling them to hold them for the next midnight release. That stores manager calls back and shuts it down, but I heard the guy mention that the two 360 copies were being held for employees, and the PS3 was the one they were going to hold. Oh well, worth a shot, don't really have the room for it, so it would have just been fun to piss off the wife with the shear size of the box!

 
Well, I finally got around to testing it and my plane has an issue.  The rear elevators are mismatched, one side has more throw than the other, so when you take off, it careens to one side.  I tried adjusting the rods but have had zero luck.  It appears the brackets on the elevators themselves are unevenly place, one about 1/4" off the edge vs ~1/2" off the edge.  I'm guessing this is the problem.  I may remove and reposition one of them wit epoxy and see if it helps.

You don't need a pre-owned label (or any label for that matter) to return to GS. Just the game w/ case and the receipt.

It's not rocket science. Like you said, put the GameStop UPC sticker on the case or even worse, one of those yellow disc slips and return it as used / "pre-owned". If they merely discounted and dropped the prices on these editions but kept them new in the system like they used to do they wouldn't have this problem.

I would have a bigger problem with people doing that if it wasn't for the many employees who did the same thing minus the buying/returning part.

but seriously, there is no moral dilemma here. These packages are being converted and gutted. At this point they are only required to sell the game. You getting all those extras is a bonus. They were going in the trash anyway. GS loses nothing.

At the store I bought mine from, the manager said that if I didn't pick my order up she was going to open it herself and fly the plane in the store. So yeah, they would be gutted.

Ps. I would never do this, but y'all do whatever you want.

Pps. I don't think that manager would be able to fly that plane inside the store.

FIRST, I have to say thank you for this thread! I had no idea about gamestop doing this and because of all your info I will be the greatest uncle come my nephews next birthday. Also, I was talking to a gamestop employee and he mentioned the Aliens collectors edition. After looking at this on amazon, this will definately be on my watch list.

I am new to this. My understanding is that I just go instore and ask for new copy of a game which is recently converted and it will come up with pre-owned price. Also can I use any coupons on them?

What's the price for coverted Dead or Alive 5 for Xbox 360?

GS recently expanded their number of unique SKUs. These newer SKUs are still part of their old category. So these used headsets are used accessories, which are under the 900 SKU category.

If you guys want the full list of converted headsets, I can look it up next time I work, and post it.

I know that 900 is used accessories which still doesn't explain why these are in the 101 category.

Like I said, GS recently expanded their number of SKUs. These recent preowned headsets are part of the new SKUs. 101xxx, for example, is still part of 900, not 10, which are new tablets. A lot of the upcoming new releases also have 101xxx, for example, as their SKU, but are part of their respective system SKU category.
