Nobody home here. The trolls and the juvenile drama chased me away.

I thought CAG was a supportive community, but I was wrong, apparently.

You're free to let someone else man the thread now; I understand J7 has a lot of free time on his hands and has been trying to circumvent the thread from me for a few months.

I just don't have the patience for the children anymore.

I scanned a bunch of stuff including Singstar ABBA PS2, Dark Sector 360, Guitar Hero Aerosmith PS3 and all of it was $9.98 so only a few games dropped I guess. Code Lyko for the DS was $5 though.

For next week's updates(8/3), it looks like most of the current $9.98 games are dropping to $5.00. Most of the current $5.00 games are dropping to $3.00. With some misc. drops thrown in too.

There are still some clearance games my store has that are not on this list of drops so it doesn't look like all clearance games get the additional drop this week.

Thanks prim! I didn't see any accessory drops. I'm waiting for the Energizer Charging stands for 360 and PS3 to drop down from 19.98. Hope it's soon and that they work well.

yes. if they say they can't (sometimes you'll end up with a clueless employee), tell them you'd like to return them. then just rebuy the items right away.

well, for future reference, no. in general, TRU clearances are nation-wide, but some stores will occasionally mark some items down sooner than others (i think this depends on inventory and sales).

Just a reminder, most (if not all) TRUs now offer credit for trade-ins, which you must bring to the service area. It's too new for me to have any info on current-gen trade-in prices, but I wouldn't expect them to be great.... Older games offer ridiculously low returns: .50 for complete N64 games (less if missing boc or manual) .25 for complete PS1 games, etc...

So where do they resell those used games? I never saw any used games anywhere in the videogame section. Do they ship them out somewhere else?

fuck! My TRU has one Resistance 2 CE left... fuck, I can't believe I didn't see this earlier. Damn it, damn it, damn it... I've been waiting forever for that to drop.:bomb:

I'm almost 100% sure it's gone now... I haven't found anything from a TRU drop in ages, somebody always beats me to them.:whistle2:(

As far as I know they're sent out to an outside company that is not TRU, and they won't be sent back to most (if any) stores for sale. Also, the program only offers you in store credit, no cash, and you must have ID to do it.
 
It's so great to see how much my wife enjoys the Singstar titles. Now I just need songs that I wouldn't mind singing. 90's and Amped, here I come.

Nice price for Rondo of Swords and K&L. Too bad that I paid $20 for RoS (still sealed and unplayed). I'll try to pick up a copy of K&L.

Only thing that bums me out is I payed $30 for Namco Arcade about 3 or 4 months ago, before it had any drops.

Any idea if the Gamecube is going down more yet? I know some stores that still have a few left.
 
Man, I over-reacted yesterday thinking I missed out on Resistance 2 CE since I didn't notice the prices didn't go into effect until the 3rd.:lol:

Luckily, the Resistance 2 at my store is safe and sound.
 
So I didn't read the OP all the way through and bought 3 of the games on the list at full price. When Monday comes around, is there a way to refund and rebuy at the lower prices because they were all the last copy? Is there another way I can go to get the clearance prices? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I've had no problem with it. Target is a real bitch about it, Sears and K-mart are YMMV. Maybe you were thinking about those?

I was talking to the Target Cust Rep and she said that when you scan a receipt with a clearance item on it. The computer will not let them adjust it down. They can only make adjustment on non-clearance items.
 
Out of curiosity, does anyone else remember someone posting (not sure in this thread or a separate one) regarding a 40% off discount on select group of games at TRU? I recall Star Wars: Unleashed being in this group, though for the life of me I can't find anything when I search. Anyone know what I"m talking about?

That's what I meant lol. K-mart will sometimes let you return/rebuy right on the spot (though they are cracking down on that).
