they are fine its just most of us want the ufc game on release day or having certs, gift cards etc... and would rather deal locally with best buy than wait for the order in the mail.

That and I can't verify their site yet given that it is blocked at work.

Can I pre order this online and pick it up in store and still receive the dvd and gift cards?
Thanks......

My GS is doing a midnight launch, so I'll probably pick up my reserved copy from there and then buy another from BB the day of to get the free swag. Then I'll just return the BB copy to GS.
If I pre order now from best buy do I qualify for this deal or do I need to wait until Sunday?
That's actually why i'm on the fence seeing as best buy the site only mentions the 10 dollars in PPV cash. I will be placing an in store pick up though that morning, so maybe the website will show it then.

So, to clarify, I do not need to pre-order to get the free shit at Best Buy? The language of the ad suggests that the bonuses are given to all who purchase the game.

Well the fine print on the ad says the $10 PPV coupon is on the box, you have to pick the DVD from what that store has in-stock, they can only issue the gift card at the register, and it says online offer may vary so I would say just walk in on Tuesday Matt and you should be fine.

I'm sorry about before when I said pre-order. I was going by the box that's sitting in the store and I didn't have a picture of the ad then so I assumed you had to preorder to get the PPV coupon. I paid for this game with Gamestop trade-in's via their promotions, so I didn't pay a bunch of attention to the pre-order box at BB.
do we know if this game is supposed to be any good? i'd do the BB ad i think...
the demo is out on PSN & Marketplace so try it out before making your descision

Out of all the DVDs they are giving out, I recommend Best of 2007, especially for those who haven't seen much MMA, as well as UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008. Both really good buys. It's too bad they didn't put up the Best of 2008 there.

They'll ship you the gift card and it states the PPV cash is in the box so it looks like everything is taken care of.

I just pre-orderd it on BB.com to pick it up at my local BB.Got the best of 2007 2 disc DVD too!!

For some reason they have to mail out the GC, whatever, still a great deal!!

FYI, the game and DVD are in stock, so on the release date it will be ready for pick up.

I ordered online, but i wish i could put the gift card towards something else i'm picking up that day, but I'll probably put it towards Gran Torino in a few weeks.
Any one else not getting the Best Buy deal to work online? It keeps trying to charge me for the DVD.
Did you try going through that page where it tells you to select the game, select the DVD and select the gift card?
Did you try going through that page where it tells you to select the game, select the DVD and select the gift card?
Yes and it still would not work. The gift card would show up and the 20% off any accessories worked but the dvd kept coming up for $14.99.

I ended up calling them and they had to do the order themselves and were looking into the problem.

I want to pick up one of these at best buy on Tuesday, but I'm unsure if I want the 360 or PS3 one. I played both demos, but I'm still on the fence. Anyone have any suggestions to help me decide?

Pick the one for the system you play the most.

Thanks for your help, however, I play them both equally.

My advice is to get it on the system that your friends will get it on. If you have no friends that play UFC, then I would suggest 360 because that's where more people on Live than PSN. If you don't play online, then it won't matter.

I'm really tempted to bite on the Best Buy promotion. I'm $71 away from earning my $10 Gamers Club reward certificate, so I figure I can snag something else while I'm there or something on the cheap later.
Limited selection for free DVD:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=category&id=pcmcat182100050016
Limited selection? Those are some of the best fights that have taken place over the last two years. UFC 92 was the Ultimate 2008 event where they were stacked with great fights. UFC 88 is where Chuck got knocked out by Rashad. The Ultimate Knockouts DVD's are always good to have, and best of 2007 is too. 2007 is when Clay Guida fought Roger Huerta, Rampage fought Chuck Liddell and Dan Henderson, Cro Cop made his UFC debut. You could close your eyes and pick from that selection and have 2 hours worth of great fights.

In all honesty, the Ultimate 2008, the Best of 2007 or the Ultimate Knockouts 6 are the best choices.

Not to mention $10 off a PPV. If it has a long expiration, you can use it on UFC100 which is likely to be the best UFC card we've seen in years. At the very least, you could use it for UFC 98 which is Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida, Matt Hughes versus Matt Serra and Sean Sherk versus Frankie Edgar.

Technically, if you wanted another UFC DVD, you'd get it for only $5 since you get the $10 gift card, but I'm sure most people here would use that toward another purchase.
Anyone know around what time best buy usually has there new releases???
Usually after 2 P.M.
Usually after 2 P.M.
depends, the games that are street dated like UFC, arrive well before the release date, and are available as soon as the store opens on release day.

Best Buy won't price match and then apply their offer, correct?

If a csr allows it, will the computer recognize the Best Buy offer or does the pricematch immediately negate the pop windows of the offer in the system?

I ordered this from Amazon last week and chose release day delivery for an extra $5 and the game comes out tomorrow and Amazon is showing it as still getting ready to be shipped. I always order things from Amazon, but never anything on pre-order. Usually after it's shipped it takes 5 days or so to get here. What gives?

its going to be there

Preordered mine from BB last night for fear of people rushing the store and selling out. Ever since playing the demo for the first time I have been SO excited about getting my hands on this game. This and Fight Night 4 are my games of the year. Unless by some miracle G.I. Joe ends up being good..

Just got my copy at BB this morning, used my $10 reward zone cert and also got the DVD and $10 gift card with it. For the DVD I got UFC 88.
just picked up mine at BB & got the best of 2008 on bluray & used the $10 on soul calibur 4 i had a rain check :D
Isn't that more than $14.99 and it still zeroed it out for you?

Well I'm right outside Houston. Didn't realize the Blu-Ray was $14.99 here. Ohh well ended up getting the Best of 2007 DVD.

One thing a friend and I noticed is it both our stores each only had 5 copies for PS3 & 5 for 360 sitting out when we went early this morning. Anyone else notice very few copies?
