When I went into my Best Buy to get it, the cashier just put a $5 coupon on there, printed out a duplicate receipt, and stapled my coupon to it. So I'm not sure if they're the same, but she didn't scan mine. Don't know if that's their protocol.

I've been sitting on that coupon for awhile, so thanks for making this a post. My son has been wanting to see this.

If the coupon is used enough sometimes the stores just have cashiers hold onto the coupons and scan it at the register whether or not they have the coupon with them. They get reimbursed for it anyways and it also helps with the customer experience aspect of the transaction so might as well.
