New Thread:

This thread has been replaced by TSDT v11

Daily Deal:
Please check the Steam homepage.

Weeklong Deals:
Steam usually has week-long deals that change on Mondays at 6PM UTC. They mostly feature indie games, and may not run every week.

Sale summary lists:

Key:
⤷ indicates DLC, — specifies part of a pack, + shows alternative versions, ⚠ highlights things worth knowing, ♫ is obvious, and ... denotes a multi-pack.

Holiday Sale 2013 | 19/12/13 through 3/1/14:
Days 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12, 13-14.

Spring/Autumn Sale 2013 | 27/11/13 through 3/12/13:
All days.

Steam deals on other stores: (Related threads on CAG.)

Indie* bundle threads: (*Not always indie, nor always a bundle.)

Free stuff:
There are quite a few free games (mostly Free to Play) and mods available via the Steam platform, a comprehensive list of which can be found in this thread on the SPUF.
(NOTE: free games are not permanently attached to your Steam account like actual purchases would be. You'll need to manually download a game again from the website if you uninstall it.)

Is Arma II Complete for $8 worth playing DayZ? I've heard DayZ has a lot of hackers and griefers. Trying to decide if I should wait for the standalone. I've wanted to try DayZ since I built my PC.

I really want to pick up the Black Flag Gold Edition from GMG with the 25% off coupon plus $16 credit back.

Pair that with LEGO Marvel and the 25% coupon and the credit back and that means I pay $66.50 for both games.... I am tempted but I worry I could get a better deal with Black Friday/Winter Sale...

Thoughts?

Wait a year for when you can get both games for like twenty dollars.

I just picked up an intense new laptop and am going to be out of town/away from my desktop and new Xbox One for over two weeks and so was hoping to have some nice new games to showcase the laptop. I know Steam trends haha I know I could wait and get them for that but if I want to play them sometime within lets say the next 2 months, anyone think it would be cheaper than that?

Just kidding... I forgot the GMG AC is U-Play only. UGH

DayZ is kinda fun, though the interface will be maddening at first. The most fun I have had is on private, well populated servers, with good admins. Otherwise, yeah, typical internet asshattery.

I wouldn't bet on an AssCreed4 hitting anything beyond 25% off during the winter sale season, if even that. Ubidiscounts can take a while to get to acceptable levels.

Lol, I have no idea.

I've been looking for a deal to waste money for over priced games on.

Daikatana and whatever da fuq the Chaos Engine is it is then.

Meh, still haven't bought a single GetLoaded deal. None of them have been good enough.
Me neither, though the earlier ones had some high-profile newer releases for relatively cheap at the time (like Dishonored/Dishonoured).

Also, some puzzle games on sale at Gamefly (Shteam keys). Codes:

US 20% off Coupon: GFDNOV20
UK 20% off Coupon: GFDNOV20UK

Anyone know if there's a gamefly code right now? These deals are pretty good, got my eyes on Quantum Conundrum and Portal 2

Stolen from Reddit:

UK 20% off Coupon: GFDNOV20UK

QC is a pretty good game (though one particular level drove me insane)

So if I was going to get one of those NFS games, which should it be? And are the $4.99 ones significantly better than the $2.49 one?
I'm going to assume that you already have Burnout Paradise? Because that would be my personal first pick out of today's racing sale titles.

Of the NFS games, I prefer Hot Pursuit. However, Burnout Paradise is my favourite on the list.

The Shift games aren't what I'd call real NFS games: they've gone down a more realistic/simulation route rather than the usual arcade-like handling of the other games.

Undercover is poorly optimised, won't save my controller binds, and the handling just doesn't feel very good.

IMO: Paradise > Hot Pursuit > Shift ~ Shift 2** >> Undercover.

** I've never played Shift 2, but from what I've read/heard, it's very similar to Shift 1 and can be considered to be "more of the same".

Has anyone played the metal sphere puzzle platformer InFlux (Steam)?

GameFly Digital has it on sale for ($9.99) $2.49. Using code GFDNOV20 makes it $1.99.

Edit: Looks like it's one to pass on. Bundle fodder.

Yeah I've played the hell out of Burnout Paradise on PS3. Love that game, but never got any of the NFS games.

Personally I didn't enjoy it. The dialog felt half finished and never amounted to anything (despite the great voicework), and the levels while interesting and smartly designed fell prey to terrible first person platforming (the only game I ever thought did that well was Mirror's Edge). It's sorta like a poor man's Portal, with all the right pieces but none of the polish and little of the charm. I'm saying this as someone who really expected to love it, but by the end I just wanted to be done with it and am unlikely to ever pick it up again.

I can at least give it credit for inventing the fluffy dimension, which is just awesome by any definition ^_^

WTF IS PROFESSIONAL FARMER 2014?????
Does it involve trading cards? Because if so I think you know...

Since I've received so much from this group of people I figured I would give back:

39 Steps:  B9NGD-36Z4P-MBBZL

Lucius:  B9C80-TFK4V-MEIK7

Star Wolves 3:  B8NRT-LABNR-7JE6N

And here I thought I was going to win a prize. Instead I won mind-crushing torture. Super Hexagon is super ball busting!

The selection of Burnouts and NFS on Steam sucks. I wish both of the Underground games were on Steam, I'd instabuy them, along with Burnout 3 + Revenge (they'd need to be ported though, since they're not currently on PC). I enjoyed the older Burnouts more than Paradise.

Hell I'd even buy NFS Underground 1 + 2 on Origin. Why aren't they available as digital downloads?!
