They work well @ home but a re a god send on long flights (>10 hours). I've used a couple other Audio Technicas in the past and haven't had a bad pair yet. Usually stolen by loved ones so I get a new pair!

Man, if you still have that DisplayFusion, I would love it. Been having a devil of a time getting my monitors to do what I want them to (Which is show horses making love 24 hours a day and slowly spinning it).

Well I don't know if you still have them or if anyone else wants them too, but if not I somehow still don't have any of HL2 on PC (played it on original xbox and bought but never played the orange box on 360) and would certainly take it off your hands.

But others get first dibs since I've gotten too much lately and it's making me feel guilty.

EDIT: Thanks Captain, excited to replay this for (what is it, the third time?) as part of the master race as it was meant to be played ^_~

So anyone want a key for Hacker Evolution Duality + a bunch of DLC? First person to PM me a gif of a dancing anime cat gets it.

That's what I was referring to but I live in Canada so I don't get to enjoy Amazon.com's great prices on most products, the shipping and exchange rates would cancel out a chunk of the savings if they'd even let me order. It seems clear that m50 has good sound so I'm just kinda concerned about the comfort and compatibility with glasses... and with spending $180, but I might pick them up at that music store and give it a shot.

Yes, I had a set of the ATH-ANC7s (the originals, not the current B) before my sister adopted them. I've also gifted a couple of them after my partner and another friend tried them and loved them.

I did use the C7s for several years and the the sound quality was very good, with or without the NC enabled.

They're both over the ear and I found them equally comfortable.

They're both have the flexibility to use with or w/o NC enabled (dead battery isn't a show stopper), and detachable cables, the 9 adds the inline mic and 2 NC settings.

The NC on ANC9s is improved with 2 different settings, more thorough, so music sounds better in noisy environments. The low frequency settings for planes/trains really nails it. Basic nuances of a vocal or instrumental come through quite well considering the noisy environment. The 2nd NC setting for @ home/office has a nice balance to it, not as pronounced as setting 1.

Neither of these are audiophile cans, but for listening on the road, or traveling in noisy environments, they can't be beat.

TL:DR : NC9s really shine for NC during long travel (planes, trains) NC7s are great, unless you've used the NC9

Just be careful when you shop for headphones online, even Amazon had incidents of counterfeit Sennheiser headphones being sold.
