Dawn of War 2 is pretty light on macromanagement as all the resource gathering is in controlling little bases. Probably not a bad place to start.

Is it easier to learn than Company of Heroes?

I'd say so considering there's not quite as much teching from the little I've played, but still it's an RTS that's been out 2 years so expect your ass handed to you.
